I wonder if he stored the bodies somewhere else and brought them back. A cooled storage unit would account for some of what is described.
Possibly. AT doesn't look that fit though. Moving 4 bodies (inc doggy) from vehicle and carrying them upstairs would be hard work. Plus, he would have to ensure that he could move them unseen.

I am curious about the eldest child. The only one not fully dressed and the mummification of just the feet. Unless the clothing descriptions are just generic - could pyjamas be described the way that they have been in the autopsy?

That means tissue that has dried out, like jerky. Normally dry and hot surroundings
mmm perhaps the sun (through a window) shining on that part of the body?

Perhaps there were screens?

It would be interesting to read neighbor's account on this.

The only MSM stories I could find note that that first-story blinds were drawn and things were quiet. But on SM, one neighbor's posted pics of LE snapping photos of the bodies in the room...blinds are up obviously. Another alleged neighbor posts on SM that they've peered into home around xmas time and observed no Christmas tree, no decorations...pumpkin decor still outside.
Just read a psychologist’s analysis of C Watts and I wonder if that’s the case here. She said psychopaths n narcissists work extra hard to make people like them, coming across as very friendly, compliment, agreeable, etc., until they aren’t. That was CW to a T, in family videos anyway, right until the very end. He was basically her “yes man” in every video I saw and from every account. That has to send of all kinds of red flags up to anyone who knows anything about human nature. When I saw those Watts family videos I knew he was a fake, and suspected he most likely harbored a lot of hatred for her, even as he was basically kissing her proverbial a* despite any insults or disrespect she would throw his way. Even when he found out she was pregnant he was nice to her and appeared happy even tho we all knew he was having an affair and wanted her dead. Good actor. She never knew what hit her. I wonder if the same isn’t true here. Maybe a compliment and agreeable guy, friendly to all who knew him, but one who harbored hatred or resentment for his family for whatever reason. Smart people will never trust anyone, including their own spouse, as familiarity can and often does breed contempt, and because all people are capable of anything. Psychopaths however bank on the trusting nature of people unaware of this fact.

He's most definitely a pleaser, no doubt about that. Very agreeable, very "how can I can help you?" kind of neighbor the the friend that would give you the shirt off his back. His patients loved him and he was even very open and honest and forthright with the investigators who interviewed him about his fraud case. Pleasing and cooperative.

Was he really like this with his family, too? Hard to say as nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. And he did have the outlet of going out of town every week and just dealing with the family on weekends.

The last long link with everything posted on here. True crime society. Still reading... and i believe she knew police were on scene at the site of dead bodies etc, tho I could be wrong. she said something to the effect of — in light of the new information, should I still show up to teach the boys? The SIL/aunt said “call Meg but I’m sure she won’t answer and I’m sure no one will be there.” This was in a string of responses to the info that police were on scene. My guess is tho she probably cared about the kids and was just curious about what SIL knew, but odd time/place to ask.
Ahhh, you know what, you're right. She knew something was up. She sent her text though on Sunday night, and the police were not on scene for discovery/arrest until Monday the 13th. But, if she had been in communication with the family and the family had started a facebook announcing they were missing and searching for people who may be in contact with them, that would explain their concern about the unknown circumstances.

Maybe that's it. Media accounts say LE found boy's leg protruding from under a blanket, so perhaps it was positioned where it got directly sunlight.

Does depression cause someone to murder their wife, children and the family dog? I am not a mental professional either, but he didn't kill himself. He was apparently was living in that house for weeks with their bodies and his house was under surveillance by the feds and local LE and they had an arrest warrant for the fraud. They witnessed him walking into the house. Where had he been? Perhaps he went through a drive thru to get himself some food? IDK.

LE calls for back up and had to wait for that, and then AT wouldn't answer the door. They knew he was inside, but he left the door unlocked. They entered and he's apparently at the top of the stairs and LE can spell decomposition and asks him where his wife and children were. He said he thought Megan was sleeping and the kids might be at a sleepover. WTH. AT starts shaking and can hardly stand and he made some remarks and told him he took some pills. Benadryl. A little too late and a little too lame to be a genuine suicide attempt, IMO.

I guess what I'm trying to say is depression may have been at play, but I think there was something that was very wrong going on with AT, and for a very long time. He was unable to function as a normal adult and make good, sound decisions. But he apparently was able to put on a very good act. I've never seen such a convoluted financial mess . Years ago, he started committing fraud. My thoughts are he doesn't seem to really get consequences until they are breathing down the back of his neck and then he gets desperate and does one bad (and stupid) thing after another and each it time it's worse.

IDK. As I said - I'm not a mental health professional but this is absolutely bizarre. I think we will learn even more bizarre things as more information becomes available.

I dunno for sure. I've known of people in depression who basically snapped. Untreated, I've seen it cause other underlying issues to be more pronounced. This whole going in and out thing is bizarre. Jmo.

If the windows were left open (even if there were screens) wouldn’t the neighbors be able to smell the bodies?

Family annihilators: The psychology behind familicide
Jan. 15, 2020

“Experts in criminal behavior say so-called “family annihilators,” are often trying to spare their families from an indignity or tragedy, either real or imagined.

It’s a title that would describe Anthony Todt if he’s convicted of the crimes for which he’s been charged. Police in Florida say the Connecticut physical therapist confessed to killing his wife, three children and the family dog.”

Police: CT man charged in killing of wife, 3 kids, family dog

“Police in Osceola County, Fla. confirmed that 42-year-old Megan Todt, 13-year-old Alek Todt, 11-year-old Tyler Todt and 4-year-old Zoe Todt were killed sometime in late December 2019. Anthony Todt confessed to the killings, police said, who did not offer a motive.”
Regarding the bruised knuckle photo, a poster posted this a couple of weeks ago and the article says the photo was taken 15th, which would be the day he was released from hospital. Is this the same jumpsuit he was wearing which would explain his bruises being from hospital stay?

I don't know, but was it ever a good idea for him to have his family in Florida and he commuted to run his business in CT. He was likely in the office less hours a week due to the commute and and suffered a loss of income because he had less time to actually work on patients and to be able to legitimately bill for his services. The travel expenses had to be huge. He rents out a nearly $5,000 rental home in May 2019. Doesn't sell or rent out his condo that it mortgaged. He had two PT offices. Grandiose thinking and/or a sense of entitlement? I think it would take a lot of entitlement to commit fraud because HE was having financial problems. And it doesn't appear he was trying to come up with a permanent fix when had so many options, before going down the fraud route. JMO

Wow I didn’t realize he wasn’t renting out mortgaged condo. So weird. I wonder if he was using it to meet or house someone. Talk about really bad business decisions. Some condos tho you are not allowed to rent out and maybe it was too small for big family. In that case he should have sold it before annihilating family.

MONEY STRUGGLES

Records show that they struggled at times to cover their mortgage and community fees at the gated community, located just one mile away from the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Liens were placed on their property on three occasions but in each instance the situation seemed to remedy itself a short while later.

Anthony began taking out loans around the same time as that first lien back in 2009, and at the time of the murders owned money to over 20 different companies and creditors.

There were also new financial troubles for the family around the time of the murder.

Anthony and Meghan were being evicted from a rental home in that same gated community, which they had signed a lease for one year prior.

That home, which boasted a large pool and separate apartment over the garage, was located just 500 feet from the property the couple had owned for 15 years.

Jeepers. So this problem of debt was not new, although it may have been on a sharp uptick. Nearly 11 years of money problems -- that's a long time to accrue debt, and a very long time to fail to deal with its fundamentals.

Looks like a pattern of debt and "rescue," until the load became too great.

Is it possible some publicity hungry lawyer will convince this guy he’s either “insane” or innocent and somehow get him to change his plea? We’ve seen it before.

This is not the photo I’m talking about. I posted a close-up of his hands in the police car being taken away from the house on day one and the bruising had nothing to do with a hospital stay it was clearly on his knuckles and just above them on both hands. It was very pronounced.
