On CNN, they seem to think he has been in Ukraine in the past, fighting with them.

Not sure how long he's been in FL or if he just traveled there to take a shot at Trump. Arrested 8 times in the past for minor offenses.
Arrested 8 times for “minor offenses”? It would only take one arrest for a minor offense to wake up a good person. He is nuts!

Moo....but the guy did not take a shot, so he did not actually try to assassinate Trump. Though he did seem to be thinking that way....moo
News said USSS engaged him before he took a shot. So somehow they made him run.

Well, they shot at him! That would make him run.

So I'm guessing his car was nearby?

It appears he got off easy the first time, but now he's in a lot more trouble. Hope they take this case more seriously. It he is proven to be the person, then he needs to be locked away from the rest of us.

But he will be convicted of crimes if they prove intent.

My guess would be he is completely full of himself and considers breaking the law okay if it's for "the greater good."

And by "greater good," I mean what *HE* might think is the greater good in his messed-up, self-righteous mind.

There is obviously no excuse for what he did and shooting anyone is not for the greater good.

My interest is in figuring this out, NOT in defending a crazed criminal. I say this because conversations can go haywire in cases like this with people misinterpreting others and I'm trying to avoid that frustration.

Ryan Routh, 36, was arrested without incident at 1 a.m. Monday at United Roofing, 1735 W. Lee St., Greensboro police said.Routh was pulled over about 10 p.m. Sunday during a traffic stop, police said. But he put his hand on a firearm and drove to United Roofing, where he remained barricaded inside, police said.
Routh was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon of mass destruction, referring to a fully automatic machine gun.

The weapon of mass destruction charge charge appears to stem from this incident. The weapon of mass destruction was a fully automatic machine gun.

The date doesnt Coincide with the legal doc from above

And here we go again look people may not like or disagree with Trump but that doesn’t mean go try and kill him or anyone at anytime

On CNN, they're discussing how the guy knew Trump would be there playing golf. It seems very unlikely he would know that. Was it just happenstance? He was just hanging around Trump's golf course at the time Trump happened to be playing golf?

Thanks, you beat me to it --- I was just going to post similar ! :)
Somehow I'd expected a younger person.
Guess any age of perp can plan an attack ?
Omo.
Yes, I heard that his hair was spiked and immediately thought a young guy.

It's not exactly detective work to know he's probably wherever the excessively large motorcade is and the streets are blocked off.

Yeah, this guy was clearly anti Trump, while at the same time making posts that show he was absolutely off his fricken rocker.

That’s a volatile combination.

Apparently he does have previous law enforcement contact, so I’m interested in hearing more about that.
Wow that's crazy. And he voted for him too in 2016. Seems like he was disgruntled at Trump for not being the "different" type of President he wanted.

Donald Trump gunman voted for him in 2016 as chilling social media posts exposed

Moo...just wondering of the legal phase. Since he did not shoot. ..moo
I guess it might be a conspiracy to commit murder. He certainly wasn't deer hunting.

Anyone know if Florida has a 'persistent criminal' law? Seems he would qualify (at least 15 charges, from 2001) for life-in-prison.

Yes, I think so too. He looks like he's starving.
Makes you wonder if he has an addiction disorder, or some problem that would be causing such emaciation.
