The emotional wounds of refugee children
http://www.dw.com/en/the-emotional-wounds-of-refugee-children/a-18829030

Farah, Namir and Walid's experiences are moving. They are the kinds of experiences that parents try to protect their children from ever having. The desperation of refugee parents is immeasurable. They all have the desire to make a better future possible for their children. According to the German government, one-third of all refugees are children and teenagers.

Honestly, I don't know if I could keep it together. The hardest time in my life doesn't come close in comparison, and that nearly broke me.

Heyya CARIIS,

There were three Friday the 13ths in 2015, Nov 13, being the final one for the calendar year.

In 2016, there will be only one, Friday, May 13, 2016

ISIS's aim to create discontent and division in diverse communities in the West ,to leave them two stark choices. ( Don't forget their other aim, they want a 3rd world war to engulf the globe too.)

The Muslims in the West will quickly find themselves between one of two choices, they either apostatize and adopt the kufrī religion propagated by Bush, Obama, Blair, Cameron, Sarkozy, and Hollande in the name of Islam so as to live amongst the kuffār without hardship, or they perform hijrah to the Islamic State and thereby escape persecution from the crusader governments and citizens.

Passengers removed after 'suspicious activity' aboard plane at BWI

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/bs-md-ar-bwi-flight-delayed-20151117-story.html

The 28-year-old Baltimore man said two men and a woman were taken off the flight first and that they took their carry-on bags off as well. He said officials returned to remove the fourth person, a man.

I wonder what the activity was.

I wonder what the activity was.

"A passenger on Spirit Airlines flight 969 from BWI to Chicago apparently reported that another passenger may have made a comment or exhibited other unusual behavior," BWI Spokesperson Jonathan Dean wrote in an emailed statement. He added, "At this point, there is no indication of a serious incident."

I've been watching on twitter hoping a passenger might have more to say but so far I haven't seen anything. I don't get why people are acting like "with their carry on luggage!" is such a big deal. If they were removed from the plane for any reason I'm sure they would be taken off the plane along with their luggage. IMO that doesn't make the situation look more suspicious. Why would the airline want to leave it on the plane?

On Friday night you stole the life of an exceptional being, the love of my life, the mother of my son, but you won't have my hatred.
I don't know who you are and I don't want to know - you are dead souls. If this God for which you kill indiscriminately made us in his own image, every bullet in the body of my wife will have been a wound in his heart.
So no, I don't give you the gift of hating you. You are asking for it but responding to hatred with anger would be giving in to the same ignorance that made you what you are.
You want me to be afraid, to view my fellow countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my freedom for security. You have lost.
I saw her this morning. Finally, after many nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago.
Of course I'm devastated with grief, I admit this small victory, but it will be short-lived. I know she will accompany us every day and that we will find ourselves in this paradise of free souls to which you'll never have access.
We are two, my son and I, but we are stronger than all the armies of the world.
I don't have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.

Oh, okay. I read too quickly and thought the woman who got up was reporting suspicious activity to a flight attendant. Thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised if the age was just a guess made based on size, it's the same skill level as my daughter who just turned nine.

insight into one of the three brothers, one who blew himself up here, by the ex-wife

Not especially religious family, not close. "Modern" mother.
Divorced parents. Unemployment and pointless existence perhaps smoking weed all day long - says ex-wife
Previous teenage delinquency - so some characteristic hallmarks there too.

worth a read though

Many men in that Belgian video look more like they are from India, not Afghanistan.

I found this video. This guy wraps up really well the madness in certain parts of Europe. All info comes from main stream sources unfortunately. I have read it or seen it in the media during the recent weeks.

Rather than assert their sovereignty and a limit to what Europeans can logically withstand, European leaders are applying more pressure on their citizens.

Lately I've been pondering all the places someone wearing a suicide vest can go and kill a large number of people without having to worry about security or metal detectors. A 12yo could make a pipe bomb, including the gunpowder!

We need to get ahead of this.
The Grand Plaza In Brussels has always been a concern for me and I have said this before. It is a big open area with hundreds of tourists lingering about. There are only 4 narrow exist and it is always so crowded it is hard to get in and out.We go through there quikly to get to my favorite restaurant,The House of Crepes.
I will be leaving for Belgium very soon and will report back.
I have always been nervous in Brussels the past 8 years and we keep a low profile and do not speak english to each other.I used to love taking the trains but this last trip after the train incident made me uneasy.

I just realized you may meant the US.

*I'm replying to the quote about refugees arriving in Scotland I can't get my iPhone to quote the post.

It's a real worry people need help but I just hope we don't live to regret it. It's a very difficult and complex situation. There has been hate crimes against Muslims in Scotland the last day or so which is totally unacceptable. The politicians get a lot of constant criticism but I don't think the decisions they face after tragic events are easy. I'm glad ISIS are being bombed significantly more we had no choice but to do so in my opinion.

Thanks for all your replies including news updates and interesting discussion. I'm just managing to read back a massive pipe burst in my house yesterday causing a great deal of damage and all my furniture etc has been destroyed. Thankfully I'm insured. I'm going to be living in a hotel for weeks whilst the damage is repaired but I realise with terrible events and suffering like this I've got nothing to complain about.

haven't read yet, to pull useful quotes, if any WS would like to help with this?

Many great quotes, chose this one from the Blaze article..

"If you trade your freedom for security, the terrorists win. We’ve walked a strange and harrowing road since September 11, 2001, littered with the debris of our once-vaunted liberties. We have gone from a nation that took great pride in being a model of a representative democracy to being a model of how to persuade a freedom-loving people to march in lockstep with a police state. And in so doing, we have proven Osama Bin Laden right. He warned that “freedom and human rights in America are doomed. The U.S. government will lead the American people in — and the West in general — into an unbearable hell and a choking life.”
