This cross is deeply satisfying.

TM believes the probable cause that AA committed "those crimes" is that he was seen multiple times on video walking through a vacant, no-inner-walled house, he was "sneaking" through a yard once, and the way he reacted when he "looked like" he was going for a gun, because Albenzy said it was AA on the video and also pointing, and because his dad said AA was breaking into the house and stealing things. So the "totality" led him to go down there to "see if it was him."

What? So how is that probable cause that AA burglarized or stole anything?

I hate to say it, but this is how some people who fear black people think. I hope no one on the jury thinks like this.

What a dirt bag: his testimony is painful to listen to: I can only imagine the fear of Mr. Arbery- some weirdo pulls up along side him in truck basically ordering him to stop--

Ah I wish she would’ve asked him if Mr. English had asked him to investigate, and why he felt he needed to investigate something that the person involved hadn’t even bothered reporting to the police. Also, if he intended to investigate, why did he not interview the victim, given that he knows so much about procedure?

state highlighting how TM's story has "evolved" ie. in statements to LE TM never told them he told AA "stop, the police are coming"

He admitted that “AA didn’t want anything to do with you and ran back”. She asked if that’s what happened and he said yes

I'm a little behind everyone else. LD just asked about AA "reaching in his pants. " she showed the picture of him adjusting his crotch and said, "Like this?" Which is close towhat I was thinking. Young men nowadays wear their pants so low, they often have to pull them up. Was he reaching for something, adjusting himself, or pulling his pants up? And so far, all the assumptions TM makes are wrong, so..........

Next, she shows AA going back into the construction house while TM is flashing his car lights on AA. AA is walking slow. He is not creeping or sneaking. Nothing in his hands, no bags, nothing.

TM refuses to acknowledge seeing AA's Nike swoosh on his running shoes.

I only heard one part of this cross this morning while getting ready for work. State: now so far in your testimony you have used the term - totality of the circumstances repeatedly.

[paraphrased but I fell out laughing when I heard that]

Arbery is running in a tee shirt and shorts and he thinks he has a gun??? JMO.

State: so he has indicated that he didn't want to talk to you and he wasn't a threat.

So you want the jury to believe that AA was the aggressor with the black vehicle. (But AA didn't want to engage with TM? This thought pattern doesn't make any sense)

ha ha ha

So you want this jury to believe AA engaged with the black truck and NOT that the truck was engaging with mr. Arbery?

defense - objection

Judge - it's cross

State - thank you (to TM) so you want this jury to believe . .

Travis: I decided to drive away from AA on Burford & go around on Zellwood because I wanted to keep him in sight for LE.

Strange that his transcript, closer in time to the incident, is not correct, but his statements now are? Nice try, TM. You're more likely to remember closer in time. Not after your attorney has coached you.

PA: You didn't startle him?

TM: I came up on him slow, just like I would anybody else, and I never startled anybody doing that before -- anybody walking, jogging, or running. I've never had anybody become startled on that.

Okay, so TM is admitting that AA was just jogging or running, then, like anyone else, right?

And what happened to AA being mad?

take away from this morning's testimony so far - you can't believe anything TM said on the day of because he was flustered, scattered, disjointed, confused, misspoke. But we should believe what he says today.

um, mmmkay

TM just wants to ask AA what happened down the road. Well, nothing happened, and AA didn't see anything happen. So he doesn't know what the heck TM is talking about. Why should AA stop?

He already "IDed" AA, and she asked why TM didn't go back to see if someone was hurt, even though he himself said English could be at his house. TM said he didn't because someone pointed for him that something was going on another way.
