@Seattle1 - when you get a chance - can you see what is happening with their Appeal on the Federal charges? They had oral arguments on 3/27/24 - and nothing since then that I could find.
Appeal #22-12792-F
Last Dkt #298 from 3/14/24.

and then for the State charges - Glynn County CR-2000433
Last was a motions hearing for a new trial on 10/24/24.

TIA! and a very 1735125472721.gif to you!

Watching the story of the murder of Ahmaud Arbery on ID now: it is so painful to watch I thought about not watching. I am so glad those killers are in prison and hope they stay there and are taken out in a pine box. We can thank his mother for her relentless pursuit of justice or this murder would have been relegated to the closed file.

Nearly five years later, Johnson is going to trial on charges that she used her office to interfere with police investigating Arbery’s killing. Jury selection is scheduled to start Tuesday in Brunswick, a port city 70 miles (112 kilometers) south of Savannah.

Thanks for the FYI--- should be an interesting to hear how she defends doing something so

Potential jurors will be asked what they’ve read or heard about Arbery’s killing and the case against Johnson, and whether they’re able to serve as impartial jurors. Walden said she suspects it could take a week to select a jury of 12 members plus alternates

People participate in a demonstration in Atlanta following the guilty verdicts in the trial of the killers of Ahmaud Arbery on Nov. 24, 2021. Greg McMichael, his son Travis McMichael, and a neighbor, William

"To get 100% justice for Ahmaud," says his father, Marcus Arbery.
"We put our lives in their hands," he says. "You get a powerful spot like that, and don't do the job? It's hurtful."

YES! So glad to see Jackie Johnson is being made to answer for her attempts to sweep this murder under the rug. Her clear advocation for the murderers was so egregious it deserved charges. IMO it was aiding and abetting murder after the fact. There is no other explanation for those 16 calls made between cellphone numbers for Greg McMichael and Johnson in the weeks after the shooting.

She then proceeded to personally recommend to GA attorney general that the case be given to Barnhill, who she knew had already reached the same "determination" that she had that there was nothing to see here, self defense. Clearly the fix was in. If Roddie's video of the murder had never come to light we, the public, would never have known who Ahmaud was or that he had been shot down in the street for jogging while black. So I guess we can thank attorney Alan Tucker for that at least.

So Jackie intends to have Greg McMichael tetsify. To what? That those some 16 cell phone exchanges in the days after the murder were about the weather? Pickleball? Anything BUT about how to cover up the crime committed by her good buddy Greg and his son?

This ought to be good. The guy convicted of murder despite Jackie's machinations will testify on her behalf. mmm-kay. It should be interesting to see how credible the jury finds Mr. McMichael' in light of the fact he is currently convicted and incarcerated for said murder.

Why do you think he has been listed as a witness?

I believe he will testify that he never asked for his dear friend Jackie's assistance and further, that she never agreed to give her assistance in covering up the murder of this man. I think he will testify that the 16 cell phone exchanges between he and his former boss had nothing to do with the murder and were simply about mundane things.

I don't think that is why he is a witness.

According to the article, Greg McMichael was just one of many potential witnesses mentioned; potential jurors had to indicate if they knew any of them. No potential jurors indicated that they knew GM.

Also, the article says the presiding judge wants to qualify 39 jurors and then have a jury of 12 with 3 alternates.
