I don't see how the actions of Glynn County police officer Robert Lee Rash change anything material.

In December 2019, when GM told Rash to tell English he was ready to chase after a trespasser night or day, only one of many trespassers seems to have been singled out by Rash and GM. That one unidentified man had gone onto the construction site English had left wide open for 3 years, had been there approximately 3-4 times, and had never taken anything or committed any other crime.

And at that point, in December, TM hadn't yet alleged
that his gun had been stolen from the truck his father left unlocked.

IMO, although Robert Lee Rash acted inappropriately as a LEO, what's most relevant about his text to English is that it confirms GM's over-eagerness to play cop, to insert himself into a situation that had nothing to do him.

English says he never read Rash's text until just recently. Whether he did or didn't, he never responded to GM's "offer." English did take up Perez's similiar offer though, which is how Perez knew about the trespasser on February 11.

Nothing Rash did changes the fact that GM had no justification, permission, or legal right to go in "hot pursuit" of AA that day.

I’ve had to stay away from the threads lately. My gratitude to everyone @WS that keeps the threads going in support of Ahmaud Arbery.

It’s extremely painful to watch the video. Watching the murder of a young man being gunned down on a street in America, I can’t imagine the pain his family must feel.

I am saddened for the loss of Mr. Arbery.

Did AA actually tresspass? Reading the law, looking around a construction site doesn't really qualify. He had to have caused damage, been told he couldn't be there (a sign would have worked) or refuse to leave once told to.

It's not being shown on any msm. Where is it, who has it. Were the media giving the entire 3 minute video and chose to only show 5 seconds of it?

Or was the video edited and only 5 seconds was giving to the media?

Regardless, there is almost 3 minutes of video that either the media or DA doesn't want anyone to see.

If one looks at the external camera video Arbery was inside at least 4 minutes.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Newly obtained video shows a man who appears to be Ahmaud Arbery at a home under construction in the Satilla Shores neighborhood.
The video taken around 9:33 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2019 appears to show Arbery walking from the home, then he starts jogging down the street.
Elizabeth Graddy, attorney for homeowner Larry English, said it appears the man may have been getting water on the property.
Graddy wrote there is a water source at the dock behind the house and a water source near the front of the house.Graddy writes that although the water sources don’t appear on camera, the man moves to and from their locations. Also in the video, Graddy says what sounds like water can be heard on the tape.

Property owners have previously stated nothing was stolen from the home.

The water is in the back of the house. It is obvious he did not attempt to get water in the front of the house. We only see 5 seconds of a 4 minute plus video.

Was someone in there over 4 minutes? Did they come out of the house sprinting when a car drove by?

Mr. English is fortunate that none of the folks streaming into his unfinished, wide-open house over the years were injured or worse, on site, anyway. Especially children.

Sure would have better all around had Mr. English been required to secure his property himself to
keep trespassers out, rather than relying upon LE to do extra watches and enlisting excitable neighbors as personal look-outs.

That he left the site wide open for so long with so little progress being made over the years makes it even more absurd to believe AA or anyone else would view it as a ripe target to "plunder."

The house seems to have been in the same halted state of construction for quite some time. Presumably because the property owner is battling some illness and possibly has been for a long while.

I suspected that the property may be viewed as a bit of an attractive nuisance by the neighbors, and the videos Arbery family attorney Merritt released would seem to support that possibility. I'm glad the individuals shown in these new videos weren't accosted (presumably).

He bought it for $120,000 (land only) in 2016 and it was his dream home. He has health problems and he lives in Douglas Georgia

He and his best friend Akeem Baker had conversations about it, but never discussed feeling as if their lives were at risk.

“We weren’t just out here in Brunswick living in fear," Baker said. "We just understood that everything wasn’t all love everywhere we went.”

Cooper-Jones said Arbery wanted to become an electrician, following the footsteps of three of his uncles.

He attended South Georgia Technical College for about a year and a half but stopped when money got tight for the family, Cooper-Jones said. She said she was also putting her other son and daughter through school at the time.

Before his death, Arbery was planning to go back to school and get his electrician certification, she said.

“He was just a really humble guy," she said. "Ahmaud was a good kid.”

She recalled him helping out around the house, whether moving heavy furniture or offering to fix electrical outlets.

Baker remembers Arbery was his "hype man" who would give Baker a playful nudge to freestyle rap lyrics or do high intensity workouts in the gym.

"He was just a real genuine person," said Baker, who grew up in the same apartment complex as Arbery. "He spoke and did everything from a place of love."

He was a person who tried bring in a gun to school at age nineteen along with running from PD. He broke his parole by shoplifting. He was into boxing, not being an electrician.

AA getting water at the house was 100% speculation last article I read. Has more of the video been released?

I also wonder how many of the other people who were in the house actually lived in the neighborhodd. Which would, imo, be less unusual and concerning than someone from an entirely different neighborhood entering the house on multiple occasions for no apparent reason.

In this same vein, the way the McMichaels were acting MOO was in line with believing AA took the Travis' handgun.
I find it totally unbelievable that AA jogged by McMichaels stopped. walked up their driveway to Travis' truck fished around and took a gun in the middle of New Years Day.
MOO AA was somewhere else watching bowl games.
MOO the two kids that were also videoed trespassing are more likely.

So threatening to kill someone is a no no, but actually killing someone is ok? Because there seems to be a fair amount of borderline excuses and blaming the victim on this thread.

If someone attacks you and tries to take your gun it is self defense.

Also it show unlawfully attempting to detain someone.

Well that seems irresponsible of them considering the fact that GM is retired and had no arrest/gun carrying capabilities for the past several years. Since when do they delegate police powers to John Q Citizen?

Getting our your car with a shotgun to detain someone is an attack.

Seems odd that Roddy would have stopped recording at the moment if his whole "concerned neighbor" thing was real. Sure Arbery fell, but we know the McMichael's first thing (well according to GM) was they flipped him over to see if he had a weapon, so it's not like it was a done deal that Arbery was fatally wounded. The few times I've recorded things I tend to wait until it's somewhat clear the event has ended.

He bleed out and died and that ended the event. He did not "fall". He bleed out losing blood perfusion to his brain and had a syncopal event related to hypovolemic shock secondary to a GSW which caused internal exsanguination.

If the offense is a felony and the offender is escaping or attempting to escape, a private person may arrest them upon reasonable and probable grounds of suspicion .”

Says just about everything that GM thought the video's release would help him.

Kinda wonder how it came to be in his possession, though, given Roddy recorded it on his cell phone. Not to mention it was evidence. Also wonder about the suggestion by AA family's attorney that the video might have been edited/cut.

The important part is there. The video made by William Bryan clearly shows the shooting in real-time. From said video it appears Ahmaud Arbery was running along the right side of the McMichael truck then abruptly turns 90 degrees to the left and attacks Travis McMichael who was standing at the front left corner of the truck . A brief skirmish ensues in which it appear Arbery strikes McMichael and appears to grab the shotgun and pull it from McMichael The shot is through Arbery s right hand palm which is consistent with him grabbing and pulling the shotgun at the barrel tip , the 2nd and 3rd wounds are consistent with the struggle for the shotgun as depicted in the video , the angle of the 2nd shot with the rear of the butt-stock being pushed away and down from the fight are also consistent with the upward angle of blood plume shown in the video and that McMichael was attempting to push the gun away from Arbery while Arbery was pulling it toward himself. The 3rd shot too appears to be in a struggle over the gun . The angle of the shots and the video show this was from the beginning or almost immediately became-- a fight over the shotgun .


Given the fact Arbery initiated the fight, at the point Arbery grabbed the shotgun, under Georgia Law , McMichael was allowed to use deadly force to protect himself. Just as importantly, while we know McMichael had his finger on the trigger, we do not know who caused the firings. Arbery would only had to pull the shotgun approximately 1/ 16th to 1/ 8th of one inch to fire weapon himself and in the height of an altercation this is entirely possible .
