and didn't the judge say he had to go somewhere around 1:00 or 2:00 today? I need to go back and listen.
He mentioned a funeral, yes

I saw a glimpse of the judge a minute or so ago. I'm not sure if that means anything, though. Maybe he was just grabbing something from the bench.

Great question! In other cases, the answer is they have to give the money back, but in this case considering she probably spent a good bit of it on her attorneys, not sure what happens.

Maybe she'll just have the largest prison commissary account ever, lol! J/K

Doesn't sound like a verdict yet .. this judge needs to leave them alone and let them work. This is ridiculous

He has wasted more time with his self-centered needs then any judge I've ever watched.

Back in the courtroom -
Judge overheard that jurors want to work until 5pm. He's bringing them back in to find out what their plans are.
Plans to tell them that "folks are getting nervous" (they have to make arrangements for staff, security, etc...).
MF is not wearing her pearls today. Just the earrings. No idea why I find that interesting lol.
Waiting for the jury to come back in...
IMO

Judge pulled in jury for a scheduling check.
Jury wants to work until 5:00 pm tonight.

Edits:
Judge wants to know what the jurors want to do… deliberate past 5:00?
Judge is giving jurors options - They can deliberate tomorrow or come back on Monday.
Defendant looks scared.

Judge called out that someone was hosting a verdict watch.

I haven't watched non-stop, so I'm curious as to what he's done that is self-centered? He's very casual, for sure, which is not what I'm used to.
IMO.

This judge is very strange and I am not impressed at all.

Maybe that is not the right word. It's just strange to me that he is constantly mentioning not wanting to be there or having other things to do. Honestly I would have to go back and write down all the comments he has made .. it just comes across to me as strange or different then I have seen before coming from a judge. moo

He has regularly made comments like, "do you know I was here until 6pm last night? <sigh> But of course I'll stay today if I HAVE to." (said in a whiny tone) or "man it's hot up here on the bench. If I knew I was going to be here this long today I would have worn something else." or "if you want to tell the court commissioners that I need more staff, please feel free." "Some of you think I have influence about the building hours, etc., but I don't. But I can be persuasive."

ETA: forgot the "man, I've got a scratchy throat and my head is feeling funny. I don't know if I'll be here tomorrow. "

And on and on.

The longer this goes on, the more I am thinking hung jury

I hope not.

There is a lot of evidence such as all of the phone recordings, interviews, text messages, etc. that all have to be put in context together. I think that takes time to ensure everyone feels confident that they understand the evidence. I'm hoping they are just being thorough.

Thank you for your replies re: the judge. I've noticed that he does love to ramble and doesn't seem to have an off switch at times. I hope that the jurors aren't feeling pressured to "speed things up" by him. Let them work at their own pace, and let them tell us what they need and when they need it.
IMO.

I don't feel the state met their burden of proof. She may be guilty but with what I have seen I just couldn't convict on what they have presented. JMOO

That is how I feel as well. We are split here on this thread and I can't help wonder if the 12 jurors may also be split.

I would hope they are at least split because the evidence presented is lacking. MOO
