The Fulton County district attorney’s office has issued a subpoena to former New York Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik to testify in the first trial later this month in the case stemming from election subversion plots in Georgia, according to his lawyer.

But Kerik’s lawyer, Tim Parlatore, is demanding that his client be granted immunity in exchange for testifying, pointing out that prosecutors indicated in the indictment that Kerik was a “co-conspirator” in the case. While not named in the indictment, CNN previously reported that Kerik is co-conspirator No. 5.

With the Kerik subpoena, the Fulton County district attorney’s office is trying to secure potentially crucial trial testimony from a witness who can shed light on various efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to upend the 2020 election results in Georgia. Two of the 19 defendants – pro-Trump lawyer Kenneth Chesebro and former Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell – are set to go on trial on October 23.

I hope DA Willis was prepared for this demand and has a plan of action. jmo

A number of former President Donald Trump's co-defendants in the Fulton County election interference case have received plea deal offers or have been approached about potentially making a deal by the District Attorney's office, multiple sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

Last week, one of the 19 defendants in the case became the first to accept such an offer from prosecutors.

She has as much chance of dismissal as she does in landing a Dr. Pepper sponsorship or a date with the late Hugo Chávez.

Think she is on the list of defendants offered a plea deal? IDK.

Only one of the 19 defendants charged in the sprawling Fulton County racketeering case – bail bondsman Scott Hall – has formally accepted a plea deal. And it’s unclear whether any of the defendants currently in conversations with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office are likely to agree to a deal.

At a hearing last week, a prosecutor from the district attorney’s office said they were likely to make plea offers to attorneys Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, two defendants in the case who are set to go to trial later this month. But it’s unclear if Powell or Chesebro would be willing to accept a deal if one were offered.

Five minutes is actually a long time, imo. Plus, I'm sure the potential jury members will have filled out questionnaires ahead of time. And I'm assuming what is gleaned by answers during one set of five-minute questions doesn't need to be repeated by each "party" asking the same question to the same potential juror. Potentially, the process could go smoothly....or be a mess, lol!

I'm curious if they will take the pleas and what the conditions are. jmo
Good questions! The article said the earlier a person takes a plea, the better deal they get.
