I get why they went with the plea, since the more ammunition the better, but agree with those who doubt SP's ability to testify truthfully to the time of day, let alone her beached Kraken plotting.

Isn't she also facing disbarment elsewhere?

Not sure any of this will matter to the armies of believers but good to see another addled domino toppling I guess.
I worry about her safety from the armies of believers. I hope she is in a secure location with guards 24/7.

I've spent a lot of time wondering if she had a legit serious mental health problem, but with her plea, I'm wavering a lot on that.

Ah, so I think Chesebro's hubris (and plan with his lawyers) is to delay/drag things out until after Nov. 5.

From the linked article in the quote:
"Under Georgia law, a jury has to be seated – and sworn into service – by the end of the speedy trial deadline. In Fulton County, that’s two terms of court, each of which are about two months long. That means the deadline is Nov. 5.

If the jury is not sworn in by then, Chesebro will be deemed to have been denied his right to a speedy trial and the charges against him must be dropped. The Fulton County criminal cases against him will be dismissed, although the state could appeal such a ruling."

So guessing the RICO charge got dismissed than.

and thanks for the info!
I read somewhere, but can't find it now, that the RICO felony carries minimum mandatory 5 years in jail. Can anyone confirm this or did I dream it? My guess if so is why they negotiated misdemeanors instead, so she could get out of having to serve time.

"Violation of the act is a felony, which provides for a prison term of 5–20 years; a fine of three times the amount of money gained from the criminal activity, but no less than $25,000; or both."

From the link:
"'It undermined people’s faith in elections but undermined people’s faith in each other. There are families ripped apart by this. I don’t know how you measure that,' [Secretary of State] Sterling said."

Absolutely. It's unacceptable to make up stories about election fraud. People still believe the lies, even from the lady who said her own claims were absurd.

jmo

I do not where these reporters are getting their info.

The Judge's schedule runs from 10/13 to 10/23 - which on 10/23 IS the start of jury selection for Chesebro...

and from the court site - this the only new add to the docket.

for Chesebro:

Events & Hearings:
10/18/2023 ORDER
Comment: Order on Motion to Exclude Communications [DENIED]

It appears that the Cheese no longer stands alone.

Do not access to the links... do they say anything important? LOL!
Per Anna Bower:
BREAKING NEWS: Kenneth Chesebro, alleged architect of the “fake electors” plot, has struck a plea deal with prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, per source familiar with the arrangement.
