Oh - I knew there would be one! Just kidding! LOL! :D
but seriously - maybe we can just follow it on this thread - or maybe @JerseyGirl wants another thread for Giuliani's trial.

Anyway - I was saying - maybe just follow the trial with posts & I won't have to keep track of witnesses, etc... :)

Right, I am sure it will make the news in big splashes so we could just follow it that way. I think it can be in this thread since the Ruby and Shaye are connected to the Georgia case.

Egad.

From the link "a district attorney’s office investigator accidentally shot herself in the leg. She is alert, conscious and breathing."
Very happy to hear that.

Giuliani now owes over $230,000 after defaming two Georgia election workers

Rudy Giuliani has failed to pay more than $132,000 in sanctions he faces for failing to respond to parts of a lawsuit from two Georgia election workers, according to a court filing.

In addition, US District Judge Beryl Howell on Friday ordered the former New York mayor to pay an additional $104,000 to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, a mother and daughter he defamed, for additional legal fees they’ve incurred because of his failure to respond to parts of their lawsuit.

Lawyers for Chesebro, who has been charged with eight felony counts for his role in the alleged plot to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia, filed a motion Thursday asking the court to bar the use of five legal memos and emails he wrote to co-defendants Giuliani and Eastman, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Chesebro’s lawyers called the memos and emails “privileged communications between lawyers representing a client.”

According to the criminal indictment filed by Willis, one email from Chesebro to Eastman “outlined multiple strategies for disrupting and delaying the joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, 2021.”

Sounds like "please don't use evidence I created against me."

If the back and forth was discussing how to disrupt congress, I would take a wild guess that is illegal.

excerpt from: attorney-client privilege

The privilege is not absolute, as there are certain exceptions that may warrant the disclosure of privileged information. For instance, if a client seeks legal advice to further a criminal act or fraud, the privilege does not apply. Additionally, if a third party is present during the privileged communication, the confidentiality may be compromised unless that third party is essential to the attorney-client relationship, such as an interpreter. Attorney-client privilege can also be waived if a client uses their attorney’s advice as a defense. Communications relating solely to non-legal business matters are not privileged. See Neuder v Battelle Pac. Northwest Nat’l Lab., 194 F.R.D. 289, 293 (D.D.C. 2000). Additionally, some courts limit the attorney-client privilege if there exists an overriding public policy interest, such as protecting a child. See Matter of Jacqueline F, 47 N.Y.2d 215, 417 N.Y.S.2d 884 (N.Y. 1979).

In her new book, titled Enough, she claims Meadows burned so many documents his wife complained to her about how expensive it had become to dry-clean the 'bonfire' aroma from the 64-year-old's suits as Trump's time as head of state came to a close

As for the claims involving Meadows, the person she worked most closely with during her time in the Trump Administration, Hutchinson wrote that the official - who like Giuliani is seeking to have his trial moved to federal court - asked if she would 'take a bullet' for the president as his loss to Biden weeks before still loomed.

In her vivid recollections, she also recalled how a frustrated Trump allegedly hurled his plate of lunch across the room after hearing Attorney General William P. Barr said he saw no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 election - something she touched on already during her 2022 testimony.

'I grabbed a towel and started wiping the ketchup off of the wall to help the valet out,' Hutchinson recalled at the time.

Unreal that this is the White House that she is speaking of. It certainly turned into a crazy place.

She also wrote no more than a week after the insurrection - which led to five people's deaths - Hutchinson encountered Mike Lindell, the conspiracy-minded My Pillow peddler, roaming the White House unescorted, ranting to himself, 'We can still win.'

And yet millions of Americans think this guy should once again have access to the nuclear codes.

After she repeatedly lied to the Jan 6th committee about Trump, Hutchinson has zero credibility with me. I hope she enjoys her 15 minutes, but I won't waste my money on buying her book. She's an excellent example of why these House "Committees" are so politically toxic.

First, she blamed her attorney for her lie. Then she lied again about the same topic and got caught. It is pathetic that members of the Secret Service/DHS had to inform the Jan 6th Committee that the incident that she twice lied about never happened.

JMO

Hutchinson said she followed the advice of her counsel. When asked about a moment on January 6 when the president is said to have lunged at a member of the Secret Service in the presidential SUV for not taking him to the Capitol alongside protesters, she said she told the panel she had "never heard anything about that."

After the testimony, a Secret Service official familiar with the matter told CNN that Ornato denies telling Hutchinson that the former President grabbed the wheel or an agent on his detail.

The Secret Service, through the Department of Homeland Security office of legislative affairs, notified the committee Tuesday afternoon that it will make the agents involved available to testify under oath, the official said. The agents are also prepared to say under oath that the incident itself did not occur.

9/19/23 Update: Two attorneys Chesebro & Powell can have their legal teams seek voluntary interviews with the grand jurors who indicted them, a Georgia judge ruled on Tuesday. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said he will "guide & maintain oversight" over any interviews. Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee said the interviews must be voluntary & stay within the bounds of Georgia law so grand jurors do not disclose their deliberations. McAfee also said he will decide which questions are to be asked & will oversee the interviews, if any of the grand jurors agree to be questioned. The court will independently contact each juror to ask if they want to submit an interview, either remotely or in-person.

9/20/23 Update: A court hearing Wednesday for three indicted fake GOP electors. Lawyers for the trio of fake electors were in federal court Wednesday to try to convince a judge to move the state prosecution into the federal system. Shafer, Georgia State Sen. Shawn Still & former Coffee County GOP chair Cathy Latham are the latest defendants in the case to attempt this legal maneuver. They have all pleaded not guilty. U.S> District Judge Steve Jones signaled Wednesday that he thinks past Supreme Court rulings undercut the fake electors’ theory that they should be recognized as federal officers for their role in the Electoral College process. Jones asked one of Shafer’s lawyers if they wanted him to “disregard” the Supreme Court’s comments in elector-related cases, known as dicta. The judge didn’t rule from the bench at Wednesday’s hearing for the three GOP electors. Jones hasn’t issued a ruling yet in the Clark matter. Trump is also expected to try to move his case. Meadows has appealed the decision in his case, claiming the judge “ignored precedent” & committed “multiple errors.” None of the fake electors attended the hearing.
9/20/23 Update: Fulton County DA Fani Willis has a new court filing Wednesday that identified some of her key witnesses. Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood is a “witness for the state” in the Georgia election subversion case, as are four of the fake Trump GOP electors Vikki Consiglio, Gloria Godwin, James Carroll & Carolyn Fisher “are witnesses for the state.” None of them have been charged in the sprawling criminal case. The filing also says another prosecution witness is CJ Pearson, who was originally part of the pro-Trump slate of electors & was spotted by CNN at the Georgia state capitol on the day that the GOP electors met – but later backed out of process. He was replaced in the slate of Trump electors by Burt Jones, who is now the lieutenant governor of Georgia. Jones’ actions surrounding the 2020 election are the subject of a pending investigation by a special prosecutor that is separate from Willis’ team. The filing on Wednesday also said Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger & former Georgia Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan are witnesses for the prosecution.
