I didn't know there was a name for this.

Have seen too much of this in the last 40 years or so. Someone has been teaching people this.

If you read the Wikipedia article you will see three examples to illustrate DARVO…one being Trump. And no doubt he learned from his father and Roy Cohn.

Smells like DARVO to me—

DARVO (an acronym for "deny, attack, and reverse victim and offender") is a reaction that perpetrators of wrongdoing, such as sexual offenders may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior.[1] Some researchers indicate that it is a common manipulation strategy of psychological abusers.[2][3][4]

As the acronym suggests, the common steps involved are:

  1. The abuser denies the abuse ever took place
  2. When confronted with evidence, the abuser then attacks the person that was abused (and/or the person's family and/or friends) for attempting to hold the abuser accountable for their actions, and finally
  3. The abuser claims that they are actually the victim in the situation, thus reversing the positions of victim and offender.[2][4]It often involves not just playing the victim but also victim blaming.[3]

Sounds like one of my ex-bosses.

On the long-haul quest through this long indictment, if I make a clerical mistake, be sure to know it means something conspiratorial. (Just kidding...or am I?)

Every act in this batch is from the same day, Thursday, Dec 3, 2020. They are all part of 161 acts under Count 1, Violation of Georgia RICO Act.

Any bolding below is by me, for emphasis and clarity.

22. Dec 3, 2020: Trump tweeted, "Georgia hearings now on @OANN. Amazing!"

23. Dec 3, 2020: Rudy, John Eastman (Trump lawyer), Jenna Ellis, Ray Smith (campaign attorney) committed felony offense of Solicitation of Violation of Oath by Public Officers in Fulton County, Georgia by soliciting certain elected members of GA Senate, present at a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Meeting, including unindicated co-conspirator #8 and 14 Senators, to unlawfully appoint electors.

24. Dec 3, 2020: Rudy committed felony offense of False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia by making to members of the GA Senate present at a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Meeting at least one of the following false statements:
* At least 96,600 mail-in ballots were counted despite no records of those ballots in the county election office (reminder: this is false)
* Dominion Voting Systems equipment in Antrim County, Michigan recorded 6,000 votes for Biden that were cast for Trump (reminder: this is false)
This was an act of racketeering.

25. Dec 3, 2020: Ray Smith (campaign attorney) committed the felony of False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia by making to members of the GA Senate at Senate Judiciary Subcommittee meeting at least one of the following false statements:
* 2,506 felons voted illegally in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* 66,248 underage people registered to vote before their 17th birthday in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* At least 2,423 people not registered to vote did vote in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* 1,043 people voted in Georgia illegally registered to P.O. boxes (reminder: this is false)
* 10,315 or more dead people voted in Georgia (reminder: this is false)
* Fulton County election workers at State Farm Arena ordered poll watchers and media to leave tabulation area on election night and continued to operate after ordering everyone to leave. (Reminder: this is false)
This was an act of racketeering.

26. Dec 3, 2020: Trump tweeted, "Wow! Blockbuster testimony taking place right now in Georgia. Ballot stuffing by Dems when Republicans were forced to leave the large counting room. Plenty more coming, but this alone leads to an easy win of the state!"

27. Dec 3, 2020: Trump tweeted, "People in Georgia got caught cold bringing in massive numbers of ballots and putting them in 'voting' machines. Great job @BrianKempGA!"

28. Dec 3, 2020: Trump met with Speaker of Pennsylvania House of Representatives Bryan Cutler in Oval Office at the White House. Discussed special session of PA General Assembly.

29. Dec 3, 2020 and Dec 26, 2020: Rudy called President Pro Tempore of Georgia Senate, Butch Miller, to make false statements about election fraud in Georgia.

30. Dec 3, 2020 and Dec 26, 2020: Trump called President Pro Tempore of Georgia Senate, Butch Miller.

Mark Meadows seeks to move Georgia case into federal court

ATLANTA — Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows formally petitioned Tuesday to move the criminal racketeering case brought against him by an Atlanta-area prosecutor over alleged interference in Georgia’s 2020 election from state court into federal court.

The motion, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, argues that the charges filed by Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis (D) covers Meadows’s conduct while he was a federal official working as the top aide to then-President Donald Trump.

In the motion, Meadows’s attorneys cite a federal law known as the “removal statute,” which generally allows “any officer … of the United States” who is facing criminal prosecution in state court to move those proceedings to federal court if the case relates to actions that were part of the individual’s duties as a federal official.

Interesting they note the defendants can come anytime, 24/7.

Wonder if any will come in the middle of the night??
Middle of the night at the Fulton County jail is a very bad idea.
It's not the fancy courthouses that they've been able to get booked into previously.

Giuliani is facing disbarment proceedings in DC and New York. His law license is already suspended – a situation his attorneys say leaves him further hampered from making money.

I wonder if he earns any residuals from his appearance in the Borat movie?

I'm confident the security at the jail will be as adequate as security at the Courthouse no matter the time of day.

He's correct about the jail, wing-nut or not. Are you local?

I'm an independent and to me, it smacks of dirty politics, or even worse: corruption, for which Atlanta has long had a reputation.
It makes sense to me that a draft or trial-run document would have all the same expected charges as the actual indictment ultimately did.

Especially since the clerk explained that the purpose of the trial run was to work out glitches that sometimes occurred with putting complex indictments on the site. So trial running an indictment document with, for example, a few charges for only one or a few people, wouldn't make sense because it wouldn't accomplish the intent.

Are you willing to explain specifically what about the early posting of the non-official document leads you to label it dirty politics or corruption? I mean specifically, what is it that meets those definitions to you? How does the fact that the test-run charges match the actual charges equate to anything problematic at all?

even worse: corruption, for which Atlanta has long had a reputation.

Oh. Corruption and crime. Like the former guy?

From the 1980s until he was elected president in 2016, Donald Trump and his businesses were involved in over 4,000 legal cases in U.S. federal and state courts, including battles with casino patrons, million-dollar real estate lawsuits, personal defamation lawsuits, and over 100 business tax disputes.[1] He has also been accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault,[2][3] with one accusation resulting in Trump being held civilly liable.[4]

In 2015, his lawyer Alan Garten called this "a natural part of doing business" in the United States.[5][6] While litigation is indeed common in the real estate industry,[5] Trump has been involved in more legal cases than his fellow magnates Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., Donald Bren, Stephen M. Ross, Sam Zell, and Larry Silverstein combined.[7]

Numerous legal affairs persisted during Trump's presidency. Since he left office, multiple investigations focus on him:
