Back to the Georgia Indictment, continuing on.
Count 1: Violation of Georgia RICO Act
All 19 defendants are charged with this count. There are 161 acts under the count.
Any bolding is by me. Any mistakes are unintentional and due to human error. Original doc linked below.
96. Dec 27, 2020: Mark Meadows (White House Chief of Staff) texted Office of Georgia Secretary of State Chief Investigator, "Is there a way to speed up Fulton County signature verification in order to have results before Jan 6 if the trump [sic] campaign assist [sic] financially."
97. Dec 27, 2020: Trump solicited Acting U.S. Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue to make a false statement, "Just say that the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen."
98. Dec 28, 2020: Jeffrey Clark (top Justice Dept official) attempted to commit felony False Statements and Writings in Fulton County, Georgia, by making a false document knowing to contain the false statement that the U.S. Department of Justice had "identified significant concerns that may have impacted the outcome of the election in multiple States, including the State of Georgia." And Jeffrey Clark emailed Acting U.S. Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue and requested authorization to send said false document to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives David Ralston, and President Pro Tempore of the Georgia Senate Butch Miller." This was an act of racketeering.
99. Dec 28, 2020: Jeffrey Clark (top Justice Department official) solicited Acting U.S. Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue to sign and send a false document that falsely stated the U.S. Department of Justice had "identified significant concerns that may have impacted the outcome of the election in multiple States, including the State of Georgia," to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Speaker of Georgia House of Representatives David Ralston, and President Pro Tempore of Georgia Senate Butch Miller.
The next day in the indictment is Dec 30, which was a big day for lies told and felonies committed so I'll save that for it's own post.
