Thank you for Carolina Moon for posting the video of AS mom on the stand. One of the things that has bothered me was that they did not go to the hospital from Dunwoody Prep, let alone they went to Dunwoody Prep first.
Based on the fact that RS had sustained 5 GSW, the likelihood of his surviving for any length of time was close to Zero. I am sure he was pronounced shortly after arriving at the hospital after attempts to revive him failed. So basically, RS died "alone". His wife apparently didn't think to ask where they took her husband. Normally, the ER will keep the deceased patient in a room for the family to see until the family arrives.
I am not clear as to why an officer did not meet AS as soon as she arrived at Dunwoody Prep. They were at the crime scene. According to AS mom, their first encounter with the police happened at AS home. Am I incorrect in this?
I do not understand either how the police worked this case. From some articles I read, there seemed to be no team work or continuity. Any info on this would be appreciated. I am late to this trial and I am very puzzled. TIA
At the point Andrea and her mother were told to go home, nobody knew which hospital Rusty had been taken to. BTW, he wasn't taken to the nearest trauma center.
As to the police interaction with her, I have no clue why an officer didn't discuss the situation with her. Maybe those who had responded were very busy trying to assess the situation.
