Thank you to everyone for all the updates and summaries of the presser (gardener I think?).
I don't know why but it seems worse to me that Sam died at the hands of his "friends". It is the ultimate betrayal. Any murder is, of course, but to be with people you know and to come to such a horrible end just makes it seem sadder.
Maybe because I'm a woman, and have spent so many years following missing persons cases and crimes, but I think there's always a thought in the back of my head to be vigilant because violence is a real possibility. But to be an 18 yr old young man, who, like all young men, are so certain of their immortality, who probably feel safe most of the time, to find out there is evil in this world and the devil is not always a stranger, just seems so much worse.
