As far as I know we do not know if they ever have.... I know KD said at one time theyhad not heard anything from SS in a while or something to that affect.....as if they are just waiting too..............I feel they were targeted too, I dont know WHY they were, I dont feel it's drugs, too clean crime scene, beheading and hauling her off seems like too much work for someone needing a "fix", and usually beheading is a message to someone, she was dumped to slow down and confuse the investigation........or this crime scene was made to appear as it was, basically, something that it was not, door was unlocked indicates they may have known the perp, or they may have simply felt like there was no harm at whomever came to the door if that's how it happened, a distinguished gentleman, a LE officer, GW employee with insignia or uniform, para military type, friend, neighbor.............yes I would be hiring an investigator, a long time ago, seems the family is afraid or not interested.......shrug, IDK....all just MOO.........
Do we know if the family has hired a private investigator to look into this, and if not why? JMO - they were targeted, as far as we know, nothing was missing and the manner of death was a message to someone about something. If this were my parents, I would be all over it, with everything I had and they may be, we just do not know or hear enough to know which was this investigation was heading,,,,,,, is still heading or just prop up feet and wait for someone to talk, don't think that is going to happen.

Why won't SS just come out and say at least some of the evidence he has if the case is cold? He certainly knows what weapon was used, the fbi profile he only gave us the obvious, The woman who wasn't truthful he certainly knows who that is. How about the fingerprints, dna and fibers that were collected did those not have a hit in the system I find that hard to believe this person or persons have never been finger printed before.

I know I wuld have hired a private investigator by now as well as asked the district attorney or the governor to assist or take over the nvestigation

He's waiting for someone to call are you kidding me? Is that code for we are too lazy to investigate ? Sorry but at this point as he has admitted this case is cold he should lay the cards on the table or at least show a few cards. Sounds like someone mishandled the evidence or compromised the crime scene. He thinks about the case everyday. He should as he is the reason this case is cold . There's only a few explanations here. 1 He lied about having all forms of evidence 2 The crime scene was contaminated by his team 3 he is covering up for someone 4 It's family member who did this and the dna can be easily contested. One thing you don't do with a case like this is sit and wait for someone to call with info that's just lazy. Sounds like he has given up and moved on with his life as the reincarnated Barney Fife.

Well said hockeyguy33, I guess he is trying to figure out how to help out ole Claude "Tex" McIver who is charged with the murder of his wife, Diane McIver. JMO

yeah I agree, spill the beans........unless it was all a bluff...............and i have to disagree, there have been first time murderers who have dismembered.........i just wonder if he's not telling because it was all a bluff

yeah you have to wonder Lawdog! Cant fathom why the DA office did NOT WANT Tex to talk to or see Sheriff Sills before teh hearing, you might be on to something...........Hey hockeyguy, I feel it too........makes me mad but I said that is what he was doing and then he admitted it......surely call in some more experts, put someone else on the case! He's possessive with this case for some reason, give it up and let someone else, another pair of eyes take a look IMO........

It surely couldnt have hurt anything.....so now we'll never know if another set of eyes would have found anything........of course they did bungle the grinstead case........but this case needed all the help it could get
I respectfully disagree. SS didn't need the GBI in the case. From what I remember he called in the FBI to assist in the investigation.

The GBI cant even find out what happened to the little two year old boy that supposedly was in the January tornado in Albany Georgia, but was never located anywhere even though the local police turned it over to the GBI for criminal investigation.

I am from Georgia, but in some cases they just aren't that good at solving cases. They wouldn't have ever solved Tara Grinstead's case either, imo, if someone had not come forward many years later. They had no clue about the murderer being Duke and his accomplice being Dukes.

The GBI has a tendency to want to completely takeover cases when they are only an assisting agency to local police just like the FBI are in so many
local state cases. The GBI has a lot of cases that remain unsolved and have for decades.

doesnt bode well they havent hired one or if they have it hasn't been said, seems they just moved on with their lives as if they lost a pair of shoes.... i think someone inthe family went to KY for the derby......wondering still why the daughter never called about the derby outcome and party as she's into that

Who is Tex ? Do you have any links of this Tex guy?

  • #1,051
alright, im on it now....but Ive posted before..........the killer would have access to GW, the D's would open their door to him, whether surprise visit or expected, maybe connections to Fulton county/atl/sandysprings, had to be someone who KNEW how to make this look like a hit, had to involve money, family or high powered friend, maybe an atty?, someone who knew about the event in surroundig the KY Derby, maybe someone who placed themselves in teh investigation somehow.............anyone know anyone like that? Maybe there was a private loan, something an atty could say, i'll take care of recording this, only someone with experience or knows the law could set this up so cleanly and make it look like a mafia hit....to avoid detection.............just some thoughts everyone
Who is Tex ? Do you have any links of this Tex guy?

So Im thinking the guy on the lawn was definitely seen on the lakeside, the kitchen door, which is on the back of the house was unlocked means the perps likely arrived by boat, they could have walked around back IDK, but there are no neighbors to witness a man on the lawn from the street or neighbors, there is a good view of the neighbors across the cove.............still no description!!!! WTHeck...........weird that the friends who came to check on them even went IN the garage.....or between the cars, SS said you couldn't see between the cars unless you went down the 3 steps to garage and walked over between the cars...and thats when he discovered the body but i think it was the last place he looked after searching the house..........also a lot of blood had pooled, wondering if RD was only knocked out when they beheaded him.......were the neighbors LOOKING for a BODY? that was a thorough search IMO....I dont know that I would have gone in other than peeping my head in and calling out their name unless I was VERY close to them.............another thing, I investigated the hosts and others of the 2014 derby part and found NO ONE on that list that lived within a 2 mile range..........that was weird.........there was other things I wanted to mention will have to recall my memory...........on to part 2........

part 2....someone they knew, someone they opened the door to, anyone they were acquainted with........it's been 10 years since their retirement.......im sure they used many ACQUISITION ATTY'S throughout their hardees endeavors, 13 i think in the southeast, seems there were other franchises too besides hardees, can't recall what..........but apparently the man on the lawn is guilty of something, HE HAS NOT COME FORWARD.........where's teh description, SS said they have not yet been able to identify the guy............to me this implies they have a description somewhat but if they cna't identify it, i wonder if the public may be able to........why withhold this evidence.......maybe there is none, some people are good liars, will never fess up....so IDK the reason for withholding it, hope it's a good reason.............also..........the cinderblocks had to be 2 SOLID blocks to weight 30 lbs....my guess is she weighed 150 give or take........how did they figure 30 lbs would hold her down...........id be looking for anyone that was connected to the area of GW, for cinder blocks, even ranches that had construction going on ......according to part 1 of this video posted by Hockeyguy33...non residents requied temp passes with a list of those names.....this tells me it was someone who already had a pass to GW, lived there or atleast owned a lot if not a home there............... .if SS wants to FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE and not waste his time speculating, then follow the blocks, where you haven't.............seems to me if he's thinking on this daily he'd have come up with soemthing to investigate by now........speculation comes from thoughts.......thinking helps come up with ideas that may help.......Im confused on how he thinks about this case daily but does not speculate, I guess there is no investigation then as he proclaims, wiating on a phone call, one doenst think and not speculate which leads to ideas missed or current situations ongoing.......finishing part 2 now

I posted this about Russells mother because in the latest youtube interview with SS, he siad that Russell's mother came to live with them in her 90's or died in her 90's and mentioned green county.............said they'd been retired for a decade, we know they built and moved in 1999 to GW home.....dont know of a green county home............so wondered about possibly inheriting money fromm her but she died after they moved to GW and he was already retired from the franchise Businesses so unless his dad left him some money or unless he dipped into retirement fund s to start them..........or was already a wealthy guy

https://youtu.be/MIMldCCn1-w

In the pictures or video above, the first 2 minutes, you can see what views people have from the lake to be able to witness a man on the lawn lakeside....I think from the distance the pic was taken, you could tell if he was black or white, black headed or gray or red headed, you can identify colors of clothing.........in all that interview, STILL NO DESCRIPTION and SS WONDERS what he could do differently.and that he still after 3 years says he's not identified the man on the lawn...im thinking, NO ONE EVEN KNOWS WHAT TO LOOK FOR.........how is it helpful to keep that info to yourself........sounds like he thinks this crime is all on him and no one can help...he's got a county to take care of, he needs to call in a team to get on it and stay on it for a bit

anyway....from the road...the front pretty much goes right into the garage and I doubt any of the neighbors were driving to the culdecsac to be able to witness a man out front, esp now knowing the back door was unlocked on the lakeside kitchen entrance

WHY THE GARAGE? To prevent evidence in the home? hidden location for anyone who may drive up?HOW DID HE GET IN THE GARAGE? was he dragged into it from the house or from outside, there were drag marks, I take that to mean, blood, unless RD had been in the mud or something, and it was only a few feet or less so those marks were after he was killed IMO............or was he lured into the garage or was he trying to leave? Or was he told to take them to the bank or something?

I dont know, seems like a lot of trouble for a robbery, there was no evidence at the home to know if SD was killed there or taken off and killed, I do not think it was to make RD talk tho, and I think, you have to get rid of her simply becuase she's a witness.....someone said it was like RD was staged there alone for a reason....but I think they just wanted to make it look like a kidnapping and make evyerone think she was taken by car.....for now anyway

SS said not drugs, which I agree, he said it wasn't random, they were targeted, I think we all agree on that,

the perps did not use guns, but bludgeoning IMO, they came when everyone was busy with saturday events and the derby party......no guns to prevent tracing them or due to possible noise factor.........nothing was amiss in house, couldnt tell if anythin gwas missing but appeared not.......did they get something, important paperwork? or did they inherit something? I dont think these perps were just pissed off and killed them.........which leaves the million dollar question, who would gain from the Dermond's deaths?

how to find out WHO all gave to the Dermond reward fund??

and this............the president of a Lake Oconee resort is offering $30,000 for information leading to the suspects involved in the death.............and no ransom note was left behind
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/reward-offered-in-georgia-beheading-case/

IT JUST OCCURRED TO ME........enticing public with reward money...........waiting for someone to call and turn in someone....He's only expecting the criminals to give it up or someone that is involved with the perp..............he's expecting the publics' help but gives us NOTHING to go ON! What is wrong with this picture?

and no ransom note, does that imply that her kidnapping was a decoy?

how to find out WHO all gave to the Dermond reward fund??
