youd have to use googlemaps or realtor pics hockey, ive only seen alot of overhead pics, but it shows they are in virtually acres of wooded area and SS said they searched 6 acres around the D's house for SD, the closes house is the neighbro who was in asia/turkey, there is an empty wooded lot between them and teh dermonds lot, and you have to pass that house to get tot he dermonds, tehy are the last house, circular turn aruond is in front of their house

I'd like to know where they were killed since SS thinks they weren't killed inside the house I assume that means the whole property since they would have combed that whole lot . If there was a gunshot it had to be in the woods. Does anyone have a picture of the front of the dermonds house from far away? I'd like to see the houses nearest them. and the area in front of their house. To kill Mr D outside the house and then bring him back in would be a huge risk that I just don't think they would make . Could have both been killed in the bath tub . Anyways i'd love to see the area around the dermonds house.

Trying to see how big the front lawn was, I typed in the wrong address by accident and look what I found. Their neighbor's house is up for sale with pictures. The first two pictures show a great view of the cove.

Whoa! Gorgeous! Ummmm.... They seem to be into horses too! They have a pet. So she could have been walking a dog if this was the witness. Oh my gosh! Look at that bar! Now that's a bar! Lots of antiques! It was built in 2000, so a year after 147 Carolyn Drive. It would definitely be more woodsy in May. Everything would have been green and leafy! I think I would be quite nervous living there though knowing my neighbors were murdered in such a horrible way and still unsolved.

OH, no I think they were thinking the mailman or someone walking their dog was the witness who saw the "man on the lawn", the perp

SS already said it was someone involved and quite obviously or they would have indeed come forward to say hey I was over there looking at such and such for him or whatever

I really think if it was a mailman or someone walking their dog they would have come forward early on to let LE know they were the one the lady saw.

I suspect this was the murderer since he has never been identified by anyone in the area nor has he willingly come forward on his own to set the record straight.

But still another stated "from a distance" how far would that be? house isn't far from road, thinking from a distance it would be lakeside viewing but maybe that car statement was just something in general IDK!! but curious why we should think the killer can find the cove but not the last house on right in the cove? There's only 2 on that right side and i would consider the D's more "in the cove"

Gosh wish we had more info....and wish we knew if SS is chasing anything at this point

It sounds like in the interview by PH that SS drove into Reynolds Plantation and went to Carolyn Drive to show him where the witness saw the white male. He said neighbor so I don't think it would be the homes across the cove, although they would have a good view too. I'm almost thinking now that it was the neighbor at 143 Carolyn Drive. Maybe she would walk her dog past the Dermonds and to the cul-de-sac and back home. If so, she did see the man in the front yard. Maybe he was walking back up to the house from the lake? Maybe he looked up and saw her too? That would be scary! I would want to move too. That home is listed as one of the most expensive on realtor.com at 1.5 mil.

Thats not the front lawn! that is the lakeside LAWN! haha The only lawn they have really

here's the front of the house facing the road, all trees, some grass yes but i wouldn tconsider that a lawn adn they have no neighbors on the road side

I have not seen much in regards to a timeline. Just that Mrs. D was up and dressed for the day. Had her pants on and her shoes were tied. Mr. D not so much? I figure it was early in the day, but really no clue. But as far as the day, yes I think definitely Saturday.

Yes, it was through the trees as it was told but those neighbors were not home and the housesitter or maid didnt see anything as it was told

I've asked this before, but again....does anyone remember that someone heard loud voices coming from the Dermonds on Saturday? was it the neighbors lawn men? I remember reading something about whether it was inside the garage or outside....

Sills said Russell Dermond was killed with some sort of sharp instrument.

He said Shirley Dermond was struck and killed by a blunt force object, possibly a hammer, which has never been found.
