While we're waiting :waiting: I came across this article regarding a Utah couple that has disappeared:

Utah couple disappears from Arizona without a trace

Susan and Jerry McFalls finally had what they always wanted. After 25 years owning and operating an auto mechanic shop with his son, Jerry Jr., Jerry was now retired. He and his wife Susan, both now 63, split their time between their homes in West Jordan, Utah and Littlefield, Arizona.

...

According to Meridee, as part of the investigation into the whereabouts of her in-laws, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office delivered a search warrant to the McFalls's neighbors in late January to conduct a search of their home.

"There are neighbors directly west of them they have some instances with," Meridee told Dateline. "When [Susan and Jerry] bought the property out of bankruptcy, these neighbors were the ones living in the house."

They are younger than the Dermonds, but still remind me of them because this couple had retired to work on building their dreams in Arizona. Something is going on with the people who owned the land, but lost it when the McFalls bought it out of bankruptcy.

strangely enough, the D's daughter had visted a week then a 10 days later one was found murdered.one missing............likewise this couples grandson visited a time, left and about 14 days later, the Fells were missing

Makes me think someone was watching in both instances.......clearly the Fells were still in AZ tho, the dogs were there, when they went missing

creepy....shows how they make their rounds....they surely passthru my town to get to SC........i have a badash dog weighs about 110 lbs...mouth bigger than my upper arm

anyhoo, do we think these kind would go into a gated community or just look where they can easily find them?

This recently arrested couple has killed in SC and FL. They are looking for other victims.
Probably not related, but thought I would post this.

Why in 50' of water on the main rivers edge? This is where the fishermen found her, this was probably 1- 2 miles up river from the dam.... More thoughts on my earlier post....What is more likely? An amateur trying to mimic a professional because the more I thougth about it, the more I realized an amateur can't mimic professionals or else they'd have possibly what was discovered, a little pro mixed with amateur............OR .....a professional hitman trying to make it look amateur? BUT WHY? There would be no need or care to cover it up.........would there?

Wondering why they only dumped SD in lake oconee and not to another lake or woods or even buried somewhere.... Remembering the cinder blocks were solid 30 lbs each, wrapped in netting..... The area of tree stumps is not considered a fishing spot but areas around and in nearby coves are,
Accor ding to map I found...... They came and left by boat..... The cinder blocks and netting were in the boat and they dumped her where they did because they didn't want to take the boat out and back in another lake or take her by car, they left by boat from a dark ramp on oconee middle of the night, didn't think fishermen would find her in that area, didn't expect her to rise and those blocks weighed more than hollow cinders.... Amateurs......

Was there ever a mention of DNA found on RD's body and clothes??

  • #989
Kay, all sorts, but no mention of WHERE it was found IIRC.......I have wondered that too if it was on or near the body of RD or just from inside the garage and/or house
Was there ever a mention of DNA found on RD's body and clothes??

amateur trying to make it look professional, why it's confused..........professional wouldnt care............just points to ponder and why in the main river along the edge of the tree stumps, deep water but not hidden very good, You would think they'd have considered the "what if", if they wanted to ENSURE that she wasn't found...so therefore, in a more hidden area may have been better or even somwhere besides IN LAKE OCONEE....didnt try too hard.......wheover did this surely didnt want anyone to know WHO did this though....why all the confusion

The body being moved and is staging ..to confuse...and so the perps arent' discovered

so far so good but I think it's known too, or suspected, like hockeyguy said, just need someone to tell it

or of course find some solid evidence without a witness

what LE has would tie someone to it if someone came forward

THis is so tragic........

comparing the cases; they were not ON the lake but in the lake community.......what I wonder is WHY were they targeted? Do pastors have that much money? But they DID have a mercedes.... how the heck did HE get out? Lucky for him he did, poor guy has to live with that tragedy forever

BUt comparing this and the Dermonds, from what I have been reading, THIS arson and theft go hand in hand, this is typical of this kind of crime, theft/robbery

WHere as in the Dermonds, it's confusing, as SS said, for everything pro something equally unprofessional...like no fire, kidnappying but no ransom,no money or property was taken, cars in garage, and no reason for the beheading really, her removed

So mixed up....This stuff makes me paranoid! I have plenty of big dogs and guns tho

I went through those same thoughts but then wondered if the Dermonds could have been an earlier inexperienced attempt. Maybe the Dermonds refused to give them money or keys to car.

Interested to know if SS still checks out crimes of this nature like he did in the beginning.

I go back and forth, but less so lately, I believe there are so few similarities, there should have been a ransom note if there was a true kidnapping, there should have been an arson or both removed or both left and shot........too many things that dont fit..........the entire crime was meant to confuse IMHO

I am pretty certain he is still checking into every lead or suspicion sent his way

Im guessing they all stay in touch when there are similar crimes....no matter which part of the U.S.it occurs, so much time has passed that these folks could be anywhere, or still in the area, but Im sure, especially those in this southern region

This case and the Robert Hollis case are almost the same and I wonder if SS has seen evidence from that case. I'm sure he has since both departments have given any real updates . Could the ex son inlaw be the murderer. Lets say he blamed the elder Dermonds for paying for his ex wife's divorce attorney and he got screwed in the divorce. This could be rage against the D's and explain how he knew the area so well. It would also explain how he didn't have to break into the house. It would also explain someone knowing the D's schedule. Divorce will drive some people crazy especially when they think they are owed money. Money makes people crazy and also makes people do things you never thought they would do.

BBM Another suspect. I wonder if he was questioned? DNA, fingerprinted?
