Are we still waiting on the toxicology reports on both?
I still don't understand why the coroner assigned cause of death to Mr. Dermond as head trauma when it should have been "unknown". Could the coroner have missed something while examining either or both corpses?
Should the sheriff be pressed on more information considering the lunatic is still on the loose and may strike again?
A major question, I think, would be how the sheriff knows specifically Mrs. Dermond's corpse was "placed" at Riley Shoals. Another would be how the sheriff knows the Dermonds "opened" their door to the killer. And was the killer "surgical" or really inept? And etc.
We all surely are aware that conclusions based on "intuition" can lead to an endless string of more and more and more false conclusions, getting us nowhere.
As the professor said, "When confusion reigns, go back to the fundamentals".
Good Morning Everyone!:seeya:
I believe the ME went over every square inch of Russ's torso and found no bruising or any other injuries anywhere on it. Therefore it was a process of elimination. The traumatic injuries that caused his death had to be done to his head. Plus the ME also knew the head had been removed after he was murdered. The head held the evidence so it is only logical to me that Russ was murdered and died from some type of head/brain trauma.
It usually takes about 8 weeks to get toxicology results back but I don't think anything will be learned by the results other than showing they both were on some type of prescription medications for various things.
I also think Sills saying he feels the perp or perps were known to them someway was because they found no forced entry.
I don't think Sills is going to reveal anything they may have learned in their course of the investigation. Whether they believe he was inept or seemed to know how to decapitate a head will remain unknown to the public.
I sure don't want to be a Debbie Downer but I have had this nagging feeling for about two days now that these murders may never be solved. I sure hope I am very wrong though. Shirley and Russ deserve justice. They didn't deserve this.
