By the tone of Sills letter it sounds like he is saying a significant amount of money will make someone talk. What is the dollar amount that will make wealthy people talk? If I or family were worth millions, then $30,000 or $50,000 would not entice me to talk.

Therefore, is Sills saying the person he expects to tattle is not of the wealthy set?

I also think Sills should have a CrimeStoppers phone number so people could call in anonymously.

I really don't believe anyone has been holding out this long for a larger reward. Sounds like a desperate move IMHO

I still think that Sheriff Sills has some cards up his sleeve.
I think divulging too much information would possibly hurt the case, so it might look like LE doesn't have a clue, but yet they might.
LE isn't showing their hand completely, in my opinion.
I hope there is a strategy, one that isn't being shown completely outright.
We can only hope, right?

This is an wtf from the neighborhood. Zac Brown used to own the bar/restaurant within a 100 yards of the webcam referenced on this site. Lewis Grizzard recuperated from heart surgery near the Great Waters Clubhouse about a quarter of a mile from the Dermonds.. We all knew him On the dark side, Ben Roethlisberger owned a house In GW until he skulked back to a safe retreat. There are lots of successful but low profile people all around here.

I just wonder if we dont' really know the D"s, the neighbors may not really know the D's, they be nice and friendly but not really letting the neighbors get too personal, IDK, superficial like.

SO, also, was thinking, this case seems isolated, anyone else think so? I mean there is not another similar or anything to compare it to that I've heard or seen, nothing to link it to in another area or weapons or type of murder etc, to even consider if it's serial or personally targeted or to rule anything in or out. If the knew the tool used for trauma to the head, they could possilby link another crime elsewhere to this one

Yes, gngr~snap, this be he. The Frozen Ground Movie which was filmed in Anchorage, was set to be released on the day SK Israel Keyes committed suicide in his Anchorage, AK jail cell. SK Gary Hilton(pvt pilot), emulated Robert Hansen. SK GMH came up with the plot, found the cabin, and helped write the script for a movie; 'Deadly Run' 1994-filmed in north GA; 'hunting humans'. GMH's defense Attorney/Associate produced the movie;

Elliot reported that Sills says they are still pursuing leads, including waiting for subpoenaed documents, but he says phone calls have dried up and that's why he sent the open letter asking for donations to a reward fund. They already have $30,000 from Reynolds Plantation and another $13,000 promised from local businesses.

According to Sills, they are not getting calls from the public like they were and that is one of the reasons for this reward program.

Elliot asked some Putnam County residents what they thought of the donation request and most liked the idea and said they would contribute.

Total committed to the reward fund right now is $43,000.

Imo, the raising of the reward by the Honorable Sheriff Howard Sills is an excellent idea for various reasons. The primary reason is that it will place the Dermond murder investigation back in the news. Awareness is the key in missing/murdered persons investigations..
The American public is a very valuable investigative resource..
