NOT GUILTY Germany/Portugal - Christian Brueckner, 27 @ time of 1st crime (2004), charged with sexual assault crimes, Praia de Rocha, Portugal. #6

Why does that stand out?

the UK could assert extraterritorial jurisdiction based on the nationality of the victim.

The MET commissioner said so much

Asked if Brückner could be extradited to face trial in the UK, Rowley said that an offence as serious as murder need not be tried in the country where the crime took place.." There are hundreds of questions. One of the reasons we are involved is that murder is in many situations extraterritorial and potentially a murder of a British subject can in certain circumstances be charged in the UK."

It's a nonsense to think that CB will be extradited, for a start, there is not enough evidence to even question CB in Germany , imagine getting to court in the UK and the defence already showing that as reasonable doubt , he's appearing here in the UK because the threshold is lower. It'll never happen.

I don't think they are going to get any answers from CB

He only needs to remember what he was doing on the 3rd May , the night the most infamous missing person case to this day occured .In an area he was in at the time, lived there for 6 years and it all goes away.

He doesn't have to remember anything, he's not been asked any thing.

Not true. The PJ asked him when they made him an arguido and SY asked an interview with him which he declined

No it doesn't. It doesn't matter what he says, the media will never let go.
18 years after the event it wouild be difficult for most people to provide a verifiable alibi.

I know where I was, but I doubt I could find anyone to confirm it.

It is pretty terrifying to know he is free even if he is wearing an electronic tag at the moment. I'm not surprised he has had to move out of the flat he was staying in because he was leering at children. He should not be anywhere near children, women or the vulnerable because he poses a significant risk to society. They will probably have to continue moving him because most people would not want to live anywhere near him.

Is that in an article? (I admit to not clicking every link.)

There's a balanced piece of reporting in the BZ which finishes with the following.

As the main suspect in the world's most famous missing person case in post-war history, Christian B. remains in the sights of the judiciary. He is a person of public interest. We will therefore continue to report if there is a new, relevant connection to the ongoing investigations. We will not take part in a media hunt.

Journalistic licence ? Just seems strange he's declared homeless the authorities have to house him, he's out on basically licence with a surveillance tag on his ankle because he's a danger and he's housed right beside a kids playground? Seriously?
