Although the father said in an interview a couple of days ago that police told him not to share any more details with the media, and he pointed out that he had not revealed the color of the fleece blanket, tagesspiegel.de now reveals that is was a purple blanket. They don't say who told them this.
"It's about a purple blanket."
Vermisste 15-Jährige: Rebeccas Schwager schweigt auch in Untersuchungshaft - Berlin - Tagesspiegel
Also from the article:
The disappearance of the blanket and the now found fiber traces may have been presented by the investigators as a clear indication to the magistrate, as it is explained from police circles. Now the investigators would have to further substantiate the suspicion, because in particular DNA or fiber traces in the family are quite problematic.
It must be ruled out that the hair and fiber traces are not in the trunk simply due to normal family circumstances, for example because Rebecca had come with her oldest sister anyway and packed her things in the trunk.
And this is very interesting:
The "BZ" claims to have learned that a "mobile license plate detection system called KESY" on the morning of Rebecca's disappearance has registered the number plate of the pink Twingo on the highway to Frankfurt / Oder. According to the report, however, the Brandenburg authorities did not confirm or deny this information.
So now we know they have a pink Twingo.
