OMG @ this family photos that Tricia had us go have a look-see.

When I got to this part "As you can see, my husband looks like he was quite excited about the tour." I checked out his face and thought her smile was bigger than his. Then I realized it wasn't his face she was talking about... 🤣

Somehow or another the See n Say popped up into convo last night with my husband, 23 yr old and I. Remember those? I had to pull up a picture to show our kid because he couldn't remember it and I know he had one. The newer version with a pull down lever. Mine had a string you pulled to get it to spin. *Google said it came out in 1965.

Any non-Catholic schooled kids here raise your hands. I feel like I'm the only one not raised catholic.
Me. Although my Grandma was an avid Catholic and baptized me when I was really sick as a baby and brought me to Mass sometimes. I did sign up for catechism on year in junior high and went to one year of Catholic as a freshman but got kicked out, lol. I turned a couple of cheerleaders into smoking and we tried to take my dad's car out when we were 15.

A person after my own heart! I was a real bad—- in school as well as a class clown. My brother had big shoes to fill (he’s five years younger than me and went to the same schools).

Hahaha! Mine too. I wasn't necessarily 'bad'. I was always on the honor roll, graduated with honors. I was just smart enough to not get caught! 😁

I wasn’t that smart! I remember a teacher throwing an eraser at me when I was a sophomore. He’d never get away with that today!

Public schools all the way through. Mom raised us Baptist but eventually she left that church and went to her mother's long time neighborhood Lutheran church. She got a job there as church and school secretary and worked there for the next 20 years. Well, I mean she still goes in every morning but on a volunteer basis since she retired.

Yay I'm not the only one!

Thanks Gemmie. I was starting to feel a bit abbynormal and like I don't quite fit,

Im loving the Polish vibe that drifted across the thread! Like the smell of a good Zureķ.
Im happy to avoid all things communion wine related but if you all could send tankers of this.....

Produced in Tychy (Poland) in
"Tyskie Browary Książęce/
Tyskie Prince's Breweries".

Beer has been brewed here continuously since 1629,
which means it is one of the oldest breweries in Poland.

Cheers! :D

Not sure if they sell it over here. I’ll check.

Apparently they do, but not anywhere near me. The closest place is near Philadelphia, which is about an hour and a half away.

I also was raised Catholic (just about) because of my Irish grandad. I think it had more to do with getting me into a good school though o_O
Yes, the Catholic schools were much better than public back in the ‘50’s. My first-Gen Irish dad was the Catholic, but not devout. More of a devout alcoholic. 🙄 I remember one time I came home very intimidated by the nuns in their habits. My Dad told me to “just picture them naked.” It worked. 😂
