  • #263
Her posture and voice have changed since her rights were read to her...strange...

  • #264
So eerie to to hear July 15, 2008 and not have it be CA trial. Such a coincidence.

  • #265
She is mirandized on video tape. Hallelujah!

Now how long does it take for her to ask for a lawyer? Or how long does she think she can handle this by herself?

  • #266
RBBM

I cannot imagine why one might find that odd. "Please honey - I just want to drag your body a little way to prove I could dispose of it if needed. Pretty please?" :floorlaugh:

You are too, too cute! (Said with utmost respect)

Do you remember in the Cooper case one of our WS posters had her husband drag her around by a sports bra to see how it would roll, trying to replicate the way the sports bra was found rolled on the victim's body. The imagined visual on that was quite amusing.

oh geez... are they going to try to trash this guy again???

If I killed someone in self defence and I was due in court, I'd be a nervous mess of a wreck.

I wouldn't be sitting there calm as an ocean on a sunny day. I'd be wracked with guilt , shame and nervousness.

Jodi hardly blinks, she's just so calm. It's unnerving and a little scary to think of this woman ever being free again

Good question...especially considering she gave how many interviews to media?

GRRR....defense attorney slips in Jodi trying to 'protect' Travis. Um, yeah. Objection and sidebar. Wanna bet he rephrases when they come back?

I noticed she kept her hands under the table. Would like to see how she kept her hands throughout the interview.

  • #271
There are 11 men sitting there and they will know damn well a burglar would not leave behind firearms that are just sitting there for the taking. Those longguns would be worth more than a .25 pistol.

I really do get amazed sometimes at how stupid she is.

imo

I would be such a mess

Thanks for the warm welcome! :)

I've was in a relationship with a psychopath for many years. A month after he left, the fog cleared and I was able to see what was going on. I spent years after that studying and in therapy. I even blog about my experiences.

I will only say this: "Every psychopath is a narcissist, but not every narcissist is a psychopath"

Jodi imo, does not have borderline personality disorder, she is a full blown Sociopath. Dr Robert Hare's checklist will go a lot further when you can expand on every tick in that category.

Passive Aggressiveness, projection, mirroring, rapport, etc.

Psychopaths & Sociopaths have been known to even fool their psychologists! there is NO cure for psychopathy because these beasts are constantly mirroring their psychologist, and manipulating them. They take what they see in session and use this knowledge to their advantage. This is what Jodi will be doing in court.

Which one sounds more like Jodi?

Sociopaths tend to be nervous and easily agitated. They are likely to be uneducated and live on the fringes of society, unable to hold down a steady job or stay in one place. Some sociopaths form attachments to an individual or group, though they have no regard for society in general. In the eyes of others, sociopaths appear clearly disturbed. Any crimes committed by a sociopath tend to be disorganized and spontaneous.

Psychopaths, on the other hand, often have charming personalities. They are manipulative and easily gain people’s trust. They have learned to mimic emotion and so appear “normal” to other people. Psychopaths are often educated and hold steady jobs. Some are so good at manipulation and mimicry that they can have families and other long-term relationships without those around them ever suspecting their true nature.

Robert Hare states that the two categories above are interchangeable. I'd say she has traits from both.

When Jodi looks at Travis, she sees what we do when we look at a chair. We use the chair, sit in the chair, but do we care what the chair feels? when the chair breaks, we buy a new one and chuck the old one out. We don't care how the chair feels, because it's an inanimate object. This is how Jodi views her victims. They are there to be used and tossed when she's done with them.

Watch her in court, when Elizabeth Northcutt comes to the stand you can see Jodi taking mental notes. She is mirroring Elizabeth's mannerisms. It might be slight and you might not catch it , but it's there.

Elizabeth is very believable, sweet and honest.

Jodi also betrays herself in court everyday with her "micro expressions" tiny expressions that are very very fast and might not be noticed by the average Joe. I often catch her with looks of arrogance, contempt and anger.

I cannot wait to see this woman given the DP, nothing would make me happier. The only problem is Jodi won't care about jail or the death penalty because for her that's just an inconvenience, she will still be having fun behind bars with other people, using and abusing as much as she can.

Psychopaths adapt very very quickly.

The only Justice for Travis, is a quick speedy execution right after the verdict.

I remember watching the 48 hours CBS video on this case back in 2008 . I kept up to date via "Eyes for lies" and since then have thought about Travis, wondering when this beast of a woman will get her comeuppance.

The only emotional abuse I see here? is Jodi emotionally abusing travis. When I was emotionally abused by the psycho, I did things I wouldn't have ever done or said had I been in a clear state of mind.. However psychopaths are great at confusing, directing, deflecting, and fogging up the mind of their victim that the victim behaves in ways that are not of his choosing.

Travis might have been sleeping with Jodi, but from what I can see he was a very confused, exasperated, tired, man with a fogged up mind trying desperately to think straight!

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for this intelligent post.

wonder why they don't want the picture of her bedroom in?

Im thinking it shows her slovenliness and the overall poverty she was very likely trying go escape through Travis.

screw the hip waders hold your arm up and save the wrist watch its way to deep now.

Why, whatever are you talking about? Didn't you know that women who repeatedly attempt to go get sex from a guy are abused and used by him when he accepts the sex and are further victimized by him when he tries to break it off? And that this leads to unbearable heartache which is mitigated by planning a murder? Didn't you know that?

Ummmmm since JA admits to shooting Travis has nobody thought of asking her where the gun came from and went after the murder?

She never admitted these things to LE so they have not had a chance to ask.

Been watching JA to much, guess I'm starting to make up stories lol.

For some reason thought they matched the bullets from stolen gun to one used on TA :waitasec:

Same caliber means they matched the bullet used to shoot Travis to the size gun that was stolen. But since it was never recovered, they can't match the bullet precisely to the chamber.

Oh, Nursebeemee? I am only popping in and out of Websleuths do I didn't see the motion for a stay and do not know what it was about.

I love that color of blue and yes, I really like him too. He is too good to be defending her.

I think ALL defense attorneys are slime... IMHO - I just can't imagine how they sleep at night! I know everyone is due a decent trial but when someone is guilty like JA, I think anyone defending her is doing an injustice and trying to skate the system.

I agree, but I also think that if one had been in jail for 4.5 years that he/she would have much more control over the emotions you are describing (even if he/she were innocent). 4.5 years is a lot of time!

DA - did Ms Arias make any statements about protecting TA's image?
F - yes - don't remember how those came up.

Pg 8 line 16 - read that area and see if it refresh memory of context of that.

F - talking about their spirituality and their religion
DA - wanted her to open up about TA
F - yes
DA - it seems wanted TA to be portrayed a certain way.
Objection - sustained

Pg. 23 - line 6

DA - you discussed him portraying himself in a different way =
OBJECTION . . . APPROACH

F -

But harder to dispose of!

Man the prosecutor is on fire today - he's not letting the defense get a question out!

He is sneaky...........trying to say that she was trying to protect Travis character...well he had more character in his pinkie finger than JA ever will.

IMO

  • #279
Defense apparently trying to get Flores to admit Travis was leading double life. Prosecution objects - hearsay and lacking foundation. Defense moves on in transcript. 2nd objection, same cause, another sidebar.

(This would be another example of why I'm not diggety digging this defense team. ;))

Oh here we go, JA the do-gooder... out to protect Travis," her abuser", in death. Right.
