Amy Campbell, a life long friend of #SkylarRichardson, now takes the stand. Says she noticed her friend's eating disorder and was aware of girls being mean to Richardson. Claims her friend never fought back

Rittgers: How did she respond to confrontation?

Annie Campbell: Not one to fight back or stand up for herself. I've seen her go to the bathroom and cry to get away from the situation. @wlwt #skylarrichardson

RICHARDSON: Campbell says Skylar would do anything to avoid confrontation; with that, Campbell is off the stand and we are on lunch break - @WCPO

Campbell: She wouldn’t hurt a fly, ever. I’ve never known her to be someone who wants to upset or hurt anyone.

“She loves to love on people.”

No Cross.

The "running commentary" the judge is referring to..does that mean Twitter too?

Jackson said he heard #SkylarRichardson get sick constantly because of eating disorder. He didn't want to talk to her about it because he wanted her to be happy. He would turn up the tv @Local12

Angenette Levy on Twitter

That says it all about this family's dsyfunction. If facing a crisis, avoid, deny, keep your feelings to yourself, and hope everything somehow turns out OK.

What is the deal with the gym photos, anyways?
Did she have to prove to her mom that she was working out?
Or - did she truly have such a history of lying that she needed to prove where she was in general?

Either way - WTF.

The gym photos proved that she was more concerned with how she looked than what she did to her child.

I continue to believe the baby was stillborn. I do believe many statements she made were coerced by LE. I believe BSR is a pleaser raised for 18 years under a excruciating controller. I don't believe she hated this baby - I simply believe she did not know what to do. I actually give her credit for burying the baby rather than discarding it with the towels.

And, I kinda take offense to the prom queen remark.

But no matter what I think... What are these jurors thinking???

Not coerced at all.

No matter what their ultimate conclusions about Skylar's guilt, I imagine most of the jurors are convinced by now that Skylar had a pretty awful childhood.

Sounds like to me she came from a loving home.

There have been plenty of people who have had worse than her and they don't try to conceal, kill and bury their child

Ugh, no doubt.
But - did her mom make her send them? Did she feel she had to send them to her even if not requested?
It just seems so odd to do that. I would expect those photos to be posted to Instagram by a girl her age before sent to her Mom. Makes me wonder WHY (even though I am sure it's due to their twisted dynamic).

The photos the prosecution showed are the ones that BSR deleted and tried to get rid of.

She also deleted certain text messages to her mother and boyfriend.

Two OT comments:

1) I started watching this trial because I thought it was a local case which I had forgotten about. I was shocked when I realized it was an Ohio case.
16-year-old arrested, charged with burying baby in Franklin County backyard

2) I had a friend (married in her early 20’s) who was obsessed with her weight, appearance, and caloric intake. She got pregnant (happily!). But she was obsessed with her appearance. She would eat a popsicle and that might be her calorie quota for the day. She was very small. She did have prenatal care (of course, I don’t know what transpired during her Dr visits). I was so worried about this, but she didn’t listen or respond favorably to encouragement to eat properly. She either didn’t “get it” or was too worried that her husband would consider her fat and unattractive.

The baby died (never came home from the hospital...I don’t know if it was stillborn or not...I didn’t ask questions). She was devastated.

I don’t know what to think of Skylar’s defense story. It’s so crazy.

What do all these emotional testimonials PROVE? They prove nothing.

People do extraordinary things when they feel cornered or fear their life or something of great VALUE to them is threatened. Non-swimmers will jump off a boat into the ocean to try to save their child. Non violent people who are bullied shoot up a school. “The mouse that roared” accounts for many homicides...and friends say...but he was so quiet and kind!

Skylar was “frightened” of her Mother. Skylar had the maturity of a 12-year old. Skylar didn’t want to make Mommy mad or to lose her boyfriend.

She was cornered. All these testimonials are just hot breath in the courtroom. That baby was the biggest threat to her existence that she could image. That baby was a bomb about to blow her life apart. What does it matter if she bought poor kids lunch, or helped disabled children? They weren’t threatening to decimate everything she valued!

Trials should not be pity parties or pageant contests. As much as I dislike Prosecutors speaking loosely and poisoning the jury pool, I detest this type of defense.

It’s manipulative, like she is.

RICHARDSON: While they discuss neonaticide on the stand right now, here's a really interesting piece of this topic from the @chicagotribune: chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-… - @WCPO

Experts: Mothers who kill newborns fit sad, familiar pattern

Evan Millward on Twitter

It has some relevant stuff:

Oberman, who has studied hundreds of neonaticide cases over the past two-plus decades, said women with competent legal representation generally receive sentences of no more than a year or two in prison, with many receiving only probation
