This may have already been touched upon, if so , i apoligize.
My brother in law passed away Oct.2004 of an 'accidental' overdose--- he was taking valuim, anti depressants of some kind, xanex, pain meds, and had a small tube of liquid
'methadone' that was was supposed to 'save' for the next day.
At 2 am my sister was awaken by him in the bathroom adjoining their bedroom- and saw him sip the dose of 'methadone' she reminded him
he was supposed to 'save that' for the next day. He told her he felt wired and couldnt sleep that the methadone would take the
'edge off' so he could sleep.
At 4 am he awoke her to tell her he loved her(not out of the ordinary for him..he did that alot)- she told him to shut up and go back to sleep--
at 7 am she got up to get ready for work, she was going to awake him to tell him 'bye ' but said he was snoring so loudly she thought
"he's really sleeping good" ,im not going to awake him.
At 10 ish their 3 yr old grandson was trying to awake him..he went to the living room and told his dad, my nephew, that he couldn't wake grandpa..
he usually did successfully every morning so my nephew went in to check on him and realized he wasn't breathing, called 911- tried CPR till
the ambulance got there but he was pronounced dead shortly after they arrived.
The reason I bring this up is the housekeeper states, at noon she heard Heath 'snoring' -----
This brings back to me not just the loud snoring my sister told of her hubby before his death but also a friend who lost her husband
last year-- she too, said he was snoring unusually 'loud' that morning before she found him dead a few hours later.
( To my knowledge he didn't abuse drugs ) his death was ruled like my brother in laws, a heart attack.
No autopsy was performed on my brother in law, but my sister is sure it was all the drugs that actually stop his heart---
I'm thinking this snoring ledger was doing was the same thing , heard it called 'the death rattle'.
No matter the cause ... so sad..
