If you are in the path that is expecting high winds which could spawn tornadoes remember to remove any objects inside your home that could become flying projectiles.
I don't keep anything on my kitchen counters except my stand mixer. My hubby took it off the counter and stored it in my pantry at the very back. You can store things inside your dishwasher making sure its locked.
Make sure you have cases of bottled water and coolers filled with ice in case you have loss of power and dont have a generator.
I have made large amounts of chicken and tuna salad all morning.. believe me everyone in our neighborhood has eaten my food at sometime. Lol
My hubby has been delivering them this morning to our neighbors along with bags of ice and bottled water. He is making sure they have coolers and if not we have many and will loan them out to those who may need one.
We have several elderly neighbors so he is going to their homes first. Now our neighbor down the street is helping him.
Also fill one of your bathtubs full of water to flush toilets in case you lose power.
Of course make sure your cell phones are full charged so you can be in touch with loved ones along with getting important weather alerts.
Thinking of all of you.
