Hurricane Sandy updates

  • #721
2 deaths reported one in Maryland a victim of a car crash and now one in NY a person was found under a tree. Please stay indoors people it's not safe yet. Especially at night where you can't see how high water is or if downed power lines are around. There is also a crane swinging away in NY, from the tallest apartment building rooftop, they have it blocked off but that is not going to be pretty if it falls.

I cannot believe people are going outside  one weather channel guy was giving a live broadcast a bit ago and there was a guy on a jetski by the battery park in NYC!

My lights are flickering just letting everyone know in case I lose power.

LOL Oh the one that got away

He was our local weatherman...small town in Louisiana before going to CNN.

He's very polite, charming, smiles all the time and was a hit with the ladies!

But seriously, everyone liked him.

I saw that too Nurse... I love how the reporter was just like " well... there will always be people who just don't listen" or something to that effect. Sort of like there will always be idiots out in storms! Some people are just nutso!

Take care all - this storm looks nasty. Outer bands of the wind are just starting to be felt in my area.

Be careful and cautious all.
