I think Tommy is being set up.

this will no doubt be moved to the theories thread, but if i'm following correctly, whisp and papa are theorizing that Ronald had to get to work so he locks the kids in, Misty still wasn't home (even though everyone insists she was), he decided to get his mom on task to get Misty to babysit (offering to pay), Misty tells Nay Nay she has to babysit and could she get dropped off at her brother's house, GGM arrives to check on the kids at 7 because Misty still isn't there, and at 8:30 Ron and Misty are arguing on the phone and she refuses anymore calls. Ron calls Tommy at 9 and he meanders down at 10 and knocks but no one is home........

wow. my mind just blew up.

So for this scenario to work, you'd have to believe that Misty did not pick up Haleigh from the bus stop?

Heck, since it's a theory, let's leave that in, and add in the theory that Ronald chased her down and snatched Haleigh back from Misty, and THEN locked the kids in and "went to work".

If we were certain the AC went to Ronald's late Monday afternoon and confirmed to LE Misty was home with the children, the theory that Ron left the children alone wouldn't work. One of Ron's neighbors said they saw Ron's children playing outside in the yard around 5 pm and if this is true, Ron didn't leave them locked in the house.

TN said Ron had only been on the evening/night shift for about a week and IDK if Ron was on the day shift before he went on nights or not. If he was on the day shift, his shift likely started at 7 am and Misty may have been responsible for taking HaLeigh to school in the morning.

Copying over from the Timmy thread, just to attempt to keep the Timmy/Tommy info from getting too mixed up.

Mr. Martin advised me Hank Sr. and Lisa Croslin used to live next door to him, and he had remained friendly with
the family even after they had moved away. Mr. Martin was unable to tell me the exact day the theft occurred but
he believed it was possibly last Wednesday or Thursday (08-19-09 or 08-20-09), Lisa Croslin and Hank Croslin Jr.

Mr. Martin advised me he noticed his firearm, a Colt Army Special .38 caliber revolver missing from his bedroom,
either on Friday or Saturday he was unsure. Mr. Martin told me he called Timmy Croslin residence, the son of
Lisa Croslin. I asked Mr. Martin where Timmy Croslin lived. Mr. Croslin told me he was not sure, he only knew it
was somewhere in New Jersey. I looked through Mr. Martin's caller identification phone and located a number
he believed belonged to Timmy Croslin (774) 268-9166, but he was unsure. Mr. Martin told me he spoke with
Timmy's wife; he was unable to remember her name. Mr. Martin stated he told her "I know either Lisa or Hank
stole my gun and I want it back." I asked Mr. Martin why he was so sure one of them had stolen the firearm. Mr.
Martin told me they had been the only ones inside his residence, and he has not been anywhere since they had
been at his residence.
I asked Mr. Martin how he got the firearm back. Mr. Martin told me about two hours after he made the call, to
Timmy Croslin's wife, Lisa and Hank Croslin Sr. arrived at his house and returned the firearm to him.

lol - I forgot what I was going to post. Oh well.

Thank you for posting this, though. It makes almost -0- sense to me.

Per MM:

- Not sure which day the theft occurred.

- Croslins were there Wednesday or Thursday, not sure.

- Noticed gun missing Friday or Saturday, not sure.

- Not sure where Timmy Croslin lived. Said New Jersey. (I thought it was Mass?)

Anybody think this case will stand up in court ? I'm not sure, lol.

First page of the police report

snip~On August 25, 2009, I made contact with Marvin (M.P.) Martin, at his residence located at 204 Sunglow Ave. I
advised Mr. Martin I had received information that he was possibly the victim of a theft form his residence.

First of all....Mama Croslin don't think nothing of stealing, in my opinion and seems to consider it a source of income. She was the look out for goodness sakes, so she wanted to use the phone huh? Wonder why she brought Tommy with her.

2nd of all, the part of the statement that I bolded....this MM did not seek out the police, the police sought out MM. For what reason? Tommy Croslin.

I think this will stand up in court, especially considering they have 3 or 4 other cases of burglary against him to compare it to. If I am on the jury it wouldn't matter 1 bit to me that this poor man was unsure of when the gun was stolen what will matter most is this
snip~I asked Mr. Martin how he got the firearm back. Mr. Martin told me about two hours after he made the call, to
Timmy Croslin's wife, Lisa and Hank Croslin Sr. arrived at his house and returned the firearm to him.
I asked Mr.
Martin who he thought had stolen his firearm, Lisa or Hank Jr .. Mr. Croslin said that Lisa told him that Hank Jr.
Had stolen the firearm, but he was not sure which one of them had stolen the firearm.~ end

Lisa told on Tommy...hmmm, what else does she know?

Okay, off to find the other incident report from the 2nd burglary.

There are several burglaries listed one one report are there not?

All from his neighbors, and IIRC another gun.

Based on the taped jail interviews....

I would say Tommy is involved somehow on a small scale.
Like a messenger/deliverer for drugs/money.

If only he knew Misty said, "Get me out first".......

INCIDENT REPORT

Reporting Officers: L.Smith ID#1290

Approving Supervisor: T.ODOM ID#1118
Division: DETECTIVE
Unit: PROPERTY

Investigative Time:
#2 0 hrs 0 minutes

On 20 January 2010, during an interview of Misty Croslin by Detective John Merchant, in an unrelated case, Misty made the post-Miranda statements during a recorded interview that her brother Hank "Tommy" Croslin Jr had several items in their residence that had been stolen in a recent burglary at an unknown location. Misty stated she witnessed several household items (ie toiletries, a Gatorade bottle containing miscellaneous coins) and knew the items did not belong in their residence. As a result of Misty's statements it was learned the residence next door to the Croslins had been burglarized during the night before Misty's interview. The victim's reported only a 12 gauge shotgun was stolen at the time the incident was reported. Contact was subsequently made with Lindsy Croslin, Tommy's spouse, and asked if she had witnessed a shotgun being brought into her residence in the past 24 hours. Lindsy stated she had not seen any firearms and the Sheriff's office ws more than willing to help her search her residence for the item because she did not want her children to locate a gun. During the search, several containers of alcohol were located stashed in the top of the master bedroom closet and numerous folded towels were discovered in the master bedroom bathroom. Thought the firearm was never located in or around the residence, it was later learned that all of the bath towels, bottles of liquar as well as numerous other toiletries were indeed stolen from the residence at 120 Tyler Street, along with the stolen shotgun.

On 21 January 2010, while continuing the investigation of the residential burglary at 120 Tyler Street in Satsuma I learned from Lindsy Croslin that she had located items at her residence that did not belong to anyone at the household and she believed her husband, Hank Crolin, Jr, had stolen the items and kept them at their residence. The items she recognized as not belonging to anyone in the residence was the items listed above as well as several DVD movies and (4) Gameboy games. Lindsy had already gathered the items and had the awaiting law enforcement for recovery.

I retrieved the items from the Croslin residence and shed in hopes of identifying where the items had been taken from. Several neighbors on Tyler Street indicated to myself that Hank Croslin Jr, aka Tommy, was often seen walking up and down the roadways late at night so they believed any other items that were recovered would be from the immediate area. As a result of further investigative endeavors I discovered the residence at 111 Tyler St had its rear screened door porch cut open as well as a rear window pried open and also a broken locking mechanism from an exterior shed. The residence owner(s) K.J.P. was ultimately contacted and confirmed that the residence had indeed been burglarized.

On 22 January 2010, I responded back to the area of Tyler Street in hopes of the home owner or designee, at 111 Tyler Street, being able to positively identify any items stolen from the residence. Upon arrival, contact was made with the key holder for 111 Tyler Street, Peggy H, who identified the toiletries, golf cart battery charger and blender as belonging to the residence at 111 Tyler Street. The items were processed for latent prints and signed over to Hayes, per the home owner, Karen P.

With the above information, a warrant charging Hank "Tommy" Croslin for the burglary and grand theft from 120 Tyler Street will be sought. Charges stemming from 111 Tyler Street will be forwarded at a later time for further review.

I didn't notice even once in the report that it was a Remington shotgun. Strange, since they indicated the manufacturers of the dishwashing liquid, the scrub pads, etc.
<I may have overlooked it, though. I am too skittish to re-open that doc.>

....this is misty talking though.

....Can anyone confirm the words of the neighbors seeing Haleigh on Feb 9 playing in the front? Did they also the van and Tommy. IIRC, Poppens said the Altima was there in the late day.

Thank you LF. I'm not sure what to think about Tommy, I flip back and forth with him. As far as the theft, even if it was him who stole those items, I don't think LE will be able to prove it, there were just too many people living in that house.

Lindsy asked Tommy if he had a scar on his thumb, and said something about them (LE I guess) finding a fingerprint with a scar on the thumb. LE would know if Tommy did/didn't have a scar on his thumb, he said he didn't, if that's true and the fingerprint didn't belong there, they'll have a hard time proving it was Tommy who did it.

There is supposed to be a link out there, with the neighbor talking about how he/she saw the kids playing outside that evening. I looked and looked a few weeks ago, but have still not found it.

Creepy.....

Hank Sr. Jut because.
Hank Jr. & his robberies/drug addiction.

His creepy MySpace photos...Tattoos, guns.

Cousin Joe....Very creepy. By sight & his reputation.
MySpace (guns) & being "there" at time of abduction.

Misty and her "I'm the perfect babysitter."
Mother Lisa & stealing from neighbors & Wal-Mart.

SRO Missing Chad Reynolds at Feb. 1
May have ties to Crescent City (grandparents) or to Cummings Daytona Jail.

I found this Whisp, seems that it was something the family was told, wonder who told them that.

VAN SUSTEREN: Marie, I don't want to -- you know, because I'm asking questions about the girlfriend (INAUDIBLE) you know, think that she's the only person I'm curious about. I mean, obviously, everybody -- we're curious about everybody tonight. Do you know anything, Marie, about any neighbors at all, people who live nearby that have shown any particular interest to this child at all, Marie, do you know?

GRIFFIS: The only thing we know about any neighbors is there were some kids that lived next door that Haleigh and Junior played with, and they were seen out playing in the yard around 5:00 o'clock yesterday -- or Monday evening. I guess it was Monday evening. I can't even remember anymore. The days are just running together now.

jmo - the "neighbor talking about the kids playing outside that evening" info may have been the bastardization of the Bard's comments about the children playing outside. [you know, the snakey PI-Guy who said they were jumping on a trampoline. sorry, but I have a real hard time swallowing ANYTHING that guy has told us now.]

I guess it's possible LE dusted those other stolen items for prints. I just have a really hard time believing all these victims have to be contacted by LE before they even realize their stuff has been stolen.

ALL the bathtowels found in Tommy & Lindsey's master bedroom bathroom were STOLEN?!! lol -

My goodness, what was Tommy thinking?! He must have been on something stronger than pain pills. Wonder what he did with their old bathtowels.
;)

If you possibly can recall, where might I hear/read about the scar on the thumb discussion? tia.

They talk about the scar in this recording: http://audio.thesky973.com/m/audio/29737448/tommy-croslin-1-2-9-10-a.htm

It's the first one in the list of Tommy's calls.

I have no idea what the heck Tommy or anyone for that matter, could have been thinking to steal all those odd things, maybe he thought he was at Walmart!

Well, dang, TJ must have changed the order of the audios on his site. Here's what I thought I heard on the first audio link he had back when he first put that whole bunch up.

Hydroponic pot growing brings in more money. I'd have to look it up, but I don't know that it would be grown in pots like a regular potted plant that would be picked up and moved. I think Ron would be growing it the way the most money could be made, and that there would be at least some evidence in the home of pot growing whichever way he might grow it. I believe Tommy knew where Misty was when he went by the trailer because he was over there hours before and was said to have seen her and the kids daily.

"farmers" are known to grow the pot plants in pots as seedlings until the threat of frost is gone, then some "farmers" find a nice hidden spot away from the public eye, plant the seedlings and tenderly watch them grow until time for harvesting.
