I believe if I were being hauled off from my parents' home in the dead of night by LE out of the clear blue and I had done nothing wrong, I would say things like, "Whaaaat?!?!?" "What is this about?" "What's going on?" "I haven't done anything!" "You've got the wrong person!"

I might even say that same stuff if I were guilty. Lots of people do.

What I wouldn't say is something like (allegedly), "Has anyone else been taken into custody?"

What that sounds like to my prejudiced ear is 'Yeah, I did it, I participated, I sure did, but I want you to think, true or not, that I might not be the only one involved. I'm casual; I'm cool. What else you guys got?'

BK didn't scream you've got the wrong person; he asked do you have all the right people (including me)? At least that's how I hear it, but, again, my ear is not objective.

BK may have an enviable IQ but that doesn't mean he can't also be a dodo head at the same time. Or maybe that was a good thing to say strategy-wise, and I just need help to understand why.

However, to me, it appeared he wasn't all that invested in being seen as innocent, and his question came off a bit like an unintentional confession.
This is very smart and something I didn’t think of. An innocent person would certainly be distraught & wondering what the hell was going on. Thanks for your post!

Why would Angenette Levy, the Host and correspondent of LawCrimeNetwork, post a photoshopped photo of BK in her Twitter feed? I don't buy it.
She didn’t. Someone posted it in her comments. It’s definitely poorly photoshopped.

What is sad is others are further alienated, but clearly he could have become a halfway decent professor somewhere.
Sure, he would have been a great professor, right along the lines of Professor Eric Clanton. ;-)

He might have no idea that Idaho has no insanity defense? It’s not a common situation with the states, I believe, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he hadn’t thought through what he’d do if he were caught. No Google in jail!

(On a regular basis I see people assuming that whatever the law is in their home state, is true everywhere.) Not sure what PA has.

He might NOT have done his research about the lack of insanity plea in Idaho.

Thankfully there is no mental illness in Idaho. Or, at least they can restore those who are.
There is mental illness, but it does not count in criminality.
Which is right, and fair. Mentally ill people make the same or more moral decisions everyday as people with out mental illness every day.

A number of the articles that have been linked here explain two bankruptcies...
Here's one mentioning the bankruptcies.

The story has been debunked.
Link? I didn’t think it sounded accurate based on BK’s lawyer’s comments, but that’s kind of crazy to lie and put your face in the media like that!

@CuriousObserver1 said:
I had not seen the blood dripping down the outside of the property before, it really shows how horrific this crime was and therefore how it would seem pretty much impossible for a perpetrator to leave the scene without there being some evidence to link him to the crime scene.

In my opinion that is not blood "oozing through the walls" of the house. Blood spilled inside a house can no more ooze to the outside of a house than can a kitchen spill seep through the walls of a house. It just doesn't happen--too many barriers. IMO
^^bbm

Please, not the blood oozing through the walls again!

Just as spilling a gallon of milk on your kitchen floor would not likely seep and drip down the exterior walls of your foundation, why would coagulated, human blood?

An adult body has about 10 units (1.2 gal) of blood. And if victims are stabbed in bed, it follows most blood absorbed in the mattress/bedding.

I wonder if that is BK's goal? JMHO
I also wondered if it would be unethical for Ramsland to produce a book on a former student & profit from it

(Deleted for brevity)

WOW!
He doesn't seem to act very sanely, but they may be part of an act to get an INSANITY PLEA.
Somone posted earlier that the woman in this *interview* was actually describing ANOTHER prisoner in the jail at the time...not BK.

I was referring to the two recent reports of BK’s behavior. Only mentioned my child was in rehab to establish that I have experience dealing with a child/ adult who has chronic addiction issues. It’s a hell no loving parent wants to go through. I’m sure he was searched when he was arrested. Going off an addictive substance cold turkey with no medical intervention would produce the same progression of behavior being reported about BK. (Also, with a history of addiction, relapse is very common) MOO
Jails have psychiatrists and they usually make available what’s needed to calm. He might be refusing.

I too am surprised to hear that genealogy DNA databases are used as soon as a crime has been committed. Until now, I've only heard of using that data in cold cases.

Makes sense to use it right away ... why wait for the case to be cold?

This makes a difference for everyone who has submitted their DNA to databanks for reasons of curiosity. From now on, their descendants are traceable ... and it's one more crime prevention tool.

The story has been debunked already.
but my statement stands...... i think people will talk....whether truth or 15 minutes of fame.

I don't do not get why there is this recurring thought that something must have been put in the air to debilitate or drug the victims. Where is any evidence for this? And why is it a needed factor in explaining these murders?

In my opinion, there’s no evidence for it at all, and it’s definitely not a needed factor for explaining how the murders were committed.

The victims probably asleep, certainly caught unawares at a time of day when reactions have slowed; three out of four victims petite girls; a substantial possibility of some, at least, of the victims having taken some alcohol. The element of surprise itself is horrifying.

MOO

I can imagine how difficult this must be for a parent. With all the drug access in the world today it makes it easier for addicts to use. That’s very sad.

Thanks for elaborating. I was confused about the sudden change after a year of different behavior.
