They didn't need it. LE was following them via EZ Pass, plane surveillance and on the ground.
What if those things were not in place though? For crimes of this manner but don't have as much coverage?

In addition to overseeing both the criminal prosecution and civil legal functions of the Latah County Prosecutor’s office, Bill has assisted other jurisdictions as a Special Prosecutor and regularly provides training and advice to elected officials, law enforcement and other prosecutors on a variety of topics including ethics, new statutes and case law, trial and investigation skills, interagency cooperation and risk management.

I thought he did a really great job in the press conferences. He is cool, calm, collected, polite. I don't often have nice things to say about state/county prosecutors but I was impressed by him. I think he is a good person for the job here.

You need to avoid this becoming a circus. The media are going to try to make it a circus for ratings. His job is to ensure admissible evidence is presented in a reasonable manner to the jurors to leave no room for doubt as to who did this crime and what sentence they should serve.

Rader was a serial killer, and so far, Kohberger is a mass murderer. HOWEVER, Rader DID commit mass murder as well. If we're going to talk about crime, one way to do it is to compare one crime to another. That's pretty much how basic research into crimes takes place, whether academic or investigational. Profilers don't just make stuff up, they study past crimes.

SO, Rader's first kill (perhaps) was 4 people.

That makes Rader one of the more unusual serial killers of all time. Was BK planning to kill again? I bet he was. But he wanted to start out at the "level" of someone like Rader (or DeAngelo or Bundy). When people here on WS pondered way before the arrest if someone like BK could exist (basically like the movie "Copycat"), I was skeptical.

I'm not skeptical now. I think it will all come out when BK, himself, writes his own book, just as his mentor did - but he won't want a ghost/assistant writer. If he's prohibited from publishing as the lead author, he'll find someone to publish it for him or self-publish it.

OTOH, he may decompensate pretty badly in prison, down the road. But I think he'll pull himself together, get his hour a day in the prison library and write a book about himself, comparing himself to these other killers whom he studied and admired.
Sorry. I didn’t mean to sound insensitive about DRs daughter, I thought perhaps it was posted in the wrong thread. Have a good day

Ah, but we had the plate number to send out on the BOLO!

If a BOLO was issued, it was done as soon as BK and Father began their trip back to PA.

JMVHO.
There was no reason for a BOLO. BK was being followed across the country by the FBI. No way would Idaho and the FBI want to mess this up with a BOLO. JMO

I can't make out if he has his tongue out or what. I see the forehead deep lines are still there.

Video of traffic stop

Now I haven’t gotten all excited about looking at Bryan’s skin so far, but check out his wrist and hand (right) in this picture of TMZ’s pic. Is that just picture shadow?

I still feel this was not a coincidence. I'm thinking there may have been a "Be On The Lookout (BOLO) and approach with caution" issued for the white Hyundai.

I could be completely wrong; this is just a hunch.

I disagree about the potential BOLO. That would’ve leaked to the media for sure. MOO

looks like a mark on his wrist but could be shadows.
It does look like a red mark/scrape or cut on the right side of his wrist, which is also showing in the footage of him today IME (in my eyes) : ]

But why would they want to have a BOLO ? Idaho detectives were already tracking him. And they did not want to spook him.

They did not want him to know that he was about to be busted.

Imagine waking up to glass breaking in your home at 3 am! Dogs barking? Mine would. Cold air and finding PST and or FBI in your home. I would have a heart attack!
I've experienced a police 'raid' (looking for a family member who was later charged for the crime). 3 police cars worth of policemen (so idk, at least 8 of them?) coming into my house. It was absolutely terrifying.

In my own experience the police knocked on the door and were let in at 7am and that was traumatising enough, I can't imagine how awful it would at 3am, and in that way.

His interactions with the female staff might be indications of his inability to relate to women specifically and all people in general. It looks to me as if he's trying to pick up girls and hasn't a clue how to go about it, based on this report.
People have been saying incel and misogynist, not so much that he was socially inept or incapable of interacting with females. I had been wondering about BK having possibly tried online dating.

The car appears to be manual transmission. It looks like the top part of the shifter is crushed-- I don't think that means anything; it's just strange.

Well then, more evidence of him being (for want of a better word here) a dum-dum.

He would have been breathing, exhaling DNA, and eyelashes fall out on the regular (and this dude blinks a lot, IMO). Plus spit and sweat.

No one ever got a chance to scratch his face or punch it, either.

If he didn't wear a mask, that made the forensic vacuum cleaner and its operators very happy.
Even if he wore a mask or some other type of face covering his sweat, spit etc. as you wrote, could still be detected in DNA, if the CSI swabbed the areas they expected to show sweat or spit. IMO that is not the main focus as it's indiscernible to naked eye therefore unable to be isolated and tested. In the absence of cuts on the offender (if so) there could have been significant bruising, which might not have been visible to fellow classmates. The bruising comes from the hand hitting the hilt of the knife as the offender performs their stabbing motions. This bruising isn't always visible unless you are "looking for it." Classmates or casual neighbors etc. probably never notice, again JMO.

Yeah, makes no sense for a BOLO to be in place. JMO.

We can agree to disagree on this.

I'm hoping eventually we'll find out if one was issued to any and all states once BK and Father began their trip.

His denial and "expects to be exonerated" could also be the natural reaction and his way of letting his family down in stages, and getting his public defender psyched up for a big trial. But, once the public defender gets to see the evidence thus far, she may immediately start advising him to take a plea deal. His DNA simply in the house won't prove "beyond a reasonable doubt".... he probably cannot figure out where he made his mistake, and is very anxious to see what LE has on him. Then he will have that "aha, dangit" moment and realize his mistake. If they have his DNA on one of the victims, or their DNA in his car, its game over. From the confidence shown and comments from LE, I'm thinking it will be both of the latter two.

Everyone commenting on how creepy and which SK he resembles and love I can see is Jonah Hills skinny, long lost cousin…
I think he looks like Steve Carrell especially in the bodycam footage of the car incident!

I just joined this group, so I'm a little behind. Sorry! But who is "Chris M?"
Chris McDonough. His full name is on one of the videos imbedded in the post. Look him up.
