I searched FlightAware’s airports in eastern PA and eastern WA/ID nothing came up.

Does the link you provided give a final destination for the aircraft in question.

If it’s flying him cross country, my guess is that it will have to make at least a couple of layovers to refuel and change crew.
I don't think they allow this flight to be tracked.

It's not accurate to say the car and DNA are "what we have". It's what we've been told about, which is quite different. They have already stated there is a lot of information in the Probable Cause documents, which are still sealed. NONE of that information can be shared with the public until it's unsealed, so a LOT of their evidence cannot be shared.

DNA is not a weak piece of evidence at all, but it depends greatly on where that evidence is found. Does anyone think they would have arrested him on a no knock warrant, 2500 miles away if they had found his DNA in the kitchen? Or the carport? Or on a porch column? Of course not. It's a known party house. The DNA will HAVE to come from a place that can't be explained by a normal, brief visit to the house.

Plus, no LE and/or prosecutor is going to try their case to the media and general public before the trial. It would taint the jury pool. So judging the strength of their case by what allowed them to obtain a warrant would be a significant mistake.
Excellent argumentation and explanation.

I don’t want to post anything without a source, I am simply posing a question... Did BK change the registration of his car? I seen a document with a different reg to the one he was pulled over in, if so, when did he change it if anyone has any sources?

I read that he switched from PA plates to WA plates.

Personally, I think it's a resolution shadow.

Kind of like I doubt those stains on his dad's teeth are there in real life.
Agreed. There is zero chance, IMO, that anyone can tell what anything is on a low quality screen grab from a body cam video.

I thought they might do it ASAP. Idaho probably had a plan in place for immediate extradition once the process was done. I would suspect his initial hearing may be Friday or even tomorrow. We might get the PCA info by the weekend.

Since when can an airplane not travel from Pennsylvania to Idaho without stopping?

This guy makes no sense. He leaves pieces of himself(dna)at the crime scene and maybe more evidence we don't about yet. Drives his own car the night of the murders in front of various cameras without a care. Keeps his car visable even after knowing the whole country is looking for it. Drives thousands of miles in said car again without a care. This is a criminology major going for his PHD? Did he commit these murders with the intention to be caught and prosecuted? IMO he couldn't have done a better job of setting himself up. For someone suppossedly OCD this was just a sloppy crime scene. Surely after all those years of education he would have done a better job even if he slept thru half of his classes.
I'm so curious about what the probable cause is, aren't you? He is reported to be quite intelligent, so none of this seems like something he would do if he were actually planning a murder he wanted to get away with.

I wonder what the full story is.

Interesting and bizarre imo.

As you can even track Air Force One (incl. when the POTUS is onboard) and some of the more sensitive US military movements on websites like FlightAware.

I don’t see a reason to cover this one up even with the sensationalism surrounding the case.

I am not from the US so please forgive my lack of knowledge. Having read the gag order from the court, I doubt this will impact the PCA being unsealed however is it possible for the defence to put forward a motion to seal for a PCA?
Yes, and it could be released with redactions, as well.

He was cuffed and shackled when he signed it

Its tangential but important.

If they had enough reason to follow him closely across the country, then they certainly had enough information to question him and collect DNA surreptitiously before he left.

I personally doubt the whole narrative that they followed or tracked him to his home in PA. MOO- that is 100% CYA on their part. If that is true it's the most irresponsible thing I have ever seen LE do.

I think they had no idea he was a suspect until after he got to PA. The sudden halt to the house cleaning tells you that they thought this was going to take a long time and were surprised about how lucky they got that he (MOO) has a first degree relative in the database they searched.
How do you pick and choose which reporting to believe? Former Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe was asked to comment on the story to provide context on procedure and even he didn't find the possibility of them following him across the country odd.

So I'm really hoping the doubters can tell me where this doubt is coming from other than gut. Any other cases you can point at where this was cited as a bad idea?

I have not made up my own mind just yet. Some people claim they see a scar in the same area on the shots of him being escorted to the courthouse, but he keeps his hands in a way that this side is more-or-less hidden. Well, it's not important for us to know that anyways - the PD and foresic photographers hopefully will know very soon if that's the case or not!

It doesn't say the final destination, and it is AFAIK not certain it is the plane, however it is a plane registered to the PA State Police that took off from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton airport at about 9:17 (not sure what time zone).

1/4/23

Warden Garry Haidle confirmed that Kohberger is no longer in his custody, adding that he is being moved by Pennsylvania State Police.

It is understood that Kohberger will be transported via plane back to Idaho, possibly arriving later today.

A judge in Idaho has issued a gagging order on Moscow Police and legal teams in relation to the case, barring anyone linked to the case from talking about it.

Latah County Prosecutor Bill Thompson said: ‘Once he gets here, he’ll have an initial appearance with our magistrate.

‘They’ll deal with issues such as making sure competent counsel is representing him, and the case will be scheduled for hearings.’

Yes, you could even track Zelensky flying from Kyiv to meet Biden in December.

I think maybe, I could be wrong, but due to it being a high-profile case, dangerous person onboard, safety, etc. I wonder, are other police transports unable to be tracked, too?

He did nothing to ensure he would get away with murder though.
Did he allegedly murder in order to get away with murder?
I believe most people who commit murder (even if they make stupid mistakes) believe they are going to get away with it- they believe they are smarter than the police: That would be especially true with someone like BK- given his study of criminal behavior.

Why anyone would wish to trace a flight transporting him from points A to B? I am seriously curious.
Same reason anyone else would be here searching for and following anything else pertaining to this thread. Maybe they are interested in this case and seriously curious. I use FlightRadar24 often, for the same reason that many people go, or take their kids to airports to "watch planes come in and go out." I also look at it often when following cases here, though primarily when there are searches going on. JMO
