I'm really surprised the car hasn't been spotted burned up,I'm in Vancouver BC and the growing trend is burning vehicles used in murder, I'm wondering if the person is keeping it as a souvenir. I am thinking the person/ people involved in this like all the attention and feeling powerful that no one has clue just moo my vho
Agreed with bolded. The car bit is baffling, though, IMO
Respectfully...
I was quoting state law as written by the Idaho legislature and Supreme Court precedent. If I am missing something please cite it so I can educate myself instead of simply 'letting me right'.

Either way though IMHO the food line footage might be a red herring, and hopefully more pertinent footage will bring criminal/s to justice.
I think we're talking about different issues (you said privacy wasn't common in court cases, and I said to the contrary). I am not arguing with you and I'm not doing case law research on a Friday night. I think the food line video is a bad idea, and I stand by that. I can see how it could play out. just like I can see how a potential civil case with the university looped in could happen. but this is imo and jmo and we can agree to either agree or disagree, both work. :)

It is a common inference in the world of LE that if a murder victim’s face is covered up, it possibly indicates the killer knew the victim.

Could one of the victims have been covered with a sheet over their face, hence the reference to this possibly being a “targeted” incident?

I don’t think it’s particularly likely considering there were four victims, but throwing it out there.

Even if someone is viewing them on a live feed, how would they then follow them home (since they're not *there*)? And, if they were in a position to do so, they would actually BE THERE.... so, why follow a live feed?
A local could potentially scan the food truck for people of “interest.” Customers of the food truck had to wait for their food to be cooked (K&M were there for about 10-15 minutes if I recall correctly.) That gives enough time for a local to spot someone on the cameras and make it to the truck before they left. IMO

Yes, that’s an interesting observation. They always have said that the sign that a killer knew the victim is if the victim has been covered with a blanket, etc. If this was present, definitely would seem targeted or a “crime of passion” as was initially said.

Wouldn’t the person have to have a very similarly positioned picture (close up picture of the face) for it to be a hit? I can see it being possible if so.

I did a reverse image search recently for a photo and many images came up that matched the general shape and colors of the picture but the person didn’t come up (which I’m actually kind of glad about.) I hope so or else it’s pretty spooky and dangerous to have in the hands of the public.

nope. that's what is scary. for example, a relative of mine is quite prolific on SM but not famous, not unique looking, etc. I can take any photo on their SM pages, do a zoom shot of their face, upload to google image, and bingo. NOW that doesn't work if someone does it for me because no SM and even the one photo of me online does not identify me by name (I made sure of that). In KG's case, she has a lot of SM photos, so a close-up of her face, cleaned up a bit with photoshop, and she'd probably have been easy to find. I can't test it of course because she's all over the internet now, but IMO and IME doing background research, I was gobsmacked at how much and how quickly I was able to ID people and image search, etc. IMO and IME there's a risk I am not willing to take. but that's just me.

Yeah, I’m all about giving this theory ample consideration, since being stalked via a live cam has actually happened to me as I mentioned. This was exactly my fear, that the stalker could be nearby or show up to follow me before I left, which is exactly why I dropped everything and immediately bolted, meanwhile looking over my shoulder.

Fair point.
that's why this car bit is so frustrating. it works both ways. but one thing I do know is that if I were. drug dealer or a serial killer or some other stereotyped villain, I'd be driving a bland sedan and dress like an accountant. jmo.

How about this escape route?

Notice the tracks. This could be an option for the killer to leave by using an already used up path. Nothing would seem out of the ordinary.

This would take him to Nez Perce Dr

Then he escapes using this route which would take him past the liquor store.

or imo they could watch and id the regulars and the know when to hang around. that might take a few weeks, but it sounded like kg was a regular.

First post, and apologies if I’ve missed this somewhere…Has there been any official LE statement that supports the arrival time back at the residence of about 1:45 am for X & E? I know their timeline for that night/early morning is not nearly as well known as that of K & M, at least to the general public, but I was wondering what possible corroborating evidence exists that allows us to take that at face value? Does that come from a neighbor’s video camera, info from either/both of the surviving roommates and/or some other form(s) of evidence?

I haven't read that. do you have a link?

I have read 'not bound and gagged' - that's way different than a piece of duct tape IMO, so if there's more detail, I'd love to read it. bound and gagged here: Police say slain Idaho college students were not ‘tied and gagged’ as rumors circulate about deaths and MPD link.

JMO not necessarily on the waking up part. if the tape was pre-cut, one quick placement and you're done. When you're in bed with someone else, esp, you might not be aware of every touch in the night. Like white noise. JMO though.
If the first blow was the kill shot, then not much noise.

walking, then driving?

Drives the elantra near the crime scene. Commits the crime, leaves via the elantra through that little path in the first photo. (looks like there's already tire tracks per the Oct 2021 image). So the perp is trying to be slick. Get caught on cam going in with a car but not caught on cam leaving in the car.

And money where mouth is, I did a quick facial recognition search using pimeyes, and turned up hundreds of different photos of that person. IMO that same approach could be used for others. creepy, right? imo it's hecka creepy.

This would explain why the police said it is more about what is not on camera that is interesting vs what is on camera, or something to that effect.

Sounds quite possible. I think I'd have scoped it out, parked near the arboretum, stashed gear there, walked to do the deed using the darkest routes, then left and walked back to the arboretum and left. then driven out Palouse to Sand, up to Pullman. Maybe a second car stashed in the nether regions of Sand. IDK. this could maybe work IMO. cleaning up and dithing the Elantra are sticking points for me.

I think this is very possible. I’m not a killer, but if I were to commit this crime, I wouldn’t drive my car right up to the house. It feels too closed in and I could become trapped if caught in the act. I would do as you suggested-park someplace in the vicinity with an easy escape route and walk to the house. The car can even be abandoned if possible and picked up later. I would also avoid driving my car too close to the house to avoid any possible cameras.

Why would Perp watch livestream from food truck??
Even if someone is viewing them on a live feed, how would they then follow them home (since they're not *there*)? And, if they were in a position to do so, they would actually BE THERE.... so, why follow a live feed?
@rahod1 Why not be there?

So LE & others do not see Perp on vid later.
Perhaps Perp has a noticeable or distinct physical appearance
(foot-high purple mohawk, or 6'10" or in wheelchair, missing limb?) which would be obvs on vid? And seared into memories of ppl at truck.
Perp stays away from food truck itself. From 50-100 ft away, Perp watches livestream on phone. From previous recon of target vic(s), Perp follows (bike, car, walk?) them home.
Tragedy ensures.

Just a possibility, not saying it happened that way. imo jmo moo

That would have been the way to do it...if you're from pullman. This perp might be from some area east of moscow.
