specifically "ultra vegan" is what I was looking for. I'm not even sure what that means so I was curious.

He can't be vegan 'anything' if he has murdered. One of the main tenets of veganism is not harming or killing any sentient being. It's a lifestyle not a diet. The only caveat is self protection when defending one's life.

I’d guess that his defense attorney would want to swab every square inch of the place, looking for ‘unidentified DNA.’ And, having it cleaned up and released at almost the exact moment that they’re arresting someone would NOT look good.Better to let the defense do their posturing.

So it was definitely the Elantra which led the authorities to this killer.

"tracing ownership"...did they have a license plate #, maybe a partial one from surveillance video?

Anxiously awaiting the affidavit to learn more.

I think this guy thought he was home free far from the crime, holed up in the Poconos across the country. "Nothing to see here"....yeah right!

So he does have a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice & he asked some telling {premeditation aforethought} questions in his research project, IMO:

"Kohberger completed his graduate studies in criminal justice this year at DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, where students told The Daily Beast he took classes with Prof. Ramsland, whose courses included “Psychology of Death Investigations.” Ramsland declined to comment when reached by The Daily Beast Friday.

A former classmate at DeSales, who asked not to be named, said they got into a disagreement with Kohberger during an introductory biology class group project. While they didn’t remember the conversation, they recalled Kohberger as “very intelligent” and “well spoken” but “seemingly detached.”

“He was very leveled and somewhat imposing. There wasn’t much emotion displayed by him,” the classmate said, adding that he remembers Kohberger’s “intense stare.”

“He took care with how he spoke,” the person said.

In a since-removed post on Reddit from seven months ago, Kohberger asked ex-cons to participate in a DeSales research project that sought to “understand how emotions and psychological traits influence decision-making when committing a crime.”

The research project, which has since been taken offline, asked participants questions like how they approached their victim or target, how they prepared for the crime, how they traveled to and entered the location of the crime, and “Did you struggle with or fight the victim?”

In a statement to The Daily Beast, DeSales confirmed Kohberger received a bachelor’s degree in 2020 and completed his graduate studies in June 2022. “As a Catholic, Salesian community, we are devastated by this senseless tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families during this difficult time,” a spokesperson said.

Northampton Community College in Albrightsville confirmed to The Daily Beast that Kohberger graduated in 2018 as a psychology major. He was also employed as a part-time school security officer by the Pleasant Valley School District for several years until last year."

So he was a security guard at a school? I am awaiting more information - as there are articles say he was and some saying he wasn't.

At any rate, I seriously doubt he chose victims according to their dietary preference (to address some recent posts).

All of this new information really confirms why LE said "the house" was targeted. The victimology here is not specific to any one person.

I live in North Carolina and know the states are adjacent but I didn’t realize the colleges are so close to each other. I did go the county level of the geography bee in the 5th grade though which I credit to a broken chalk board roll up map and adhd. So states yes, colleges? Doubt it.

It’s funny you mention this! I was recently in NC for a wedding. As we were driving through the state we were shocked because we didn’t realize the number of colleges & univ in NC. So, I bet you’re right that most people don’t have much knowledge about college exact locations/distances.

I’m sorry. I think that ‘ultra vegan’ is just an extrapolation of the idea that he wouldn’t want to eat food that had been cooked in a pot that had once been used to cook meat. I think that that goes beyond the rules that many vegans would use.

That they have the person in Custody who committed the crimes? Why would they not say that?

I know LE does not follow innocent until proven guilty in the same way that the court does, becuase then they'd have to assume everyone is innocent and never find a suspect. They can gather evidence that helps prove guilt, but they cannot determine guilt and he should be innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. It influence the jury and public to have a prenotion that he is guilty and anything the defense could say would not matter, which is not a fair trial. Prior similar statements in other cases normally say something along the lines of "due to evidence, tips and leads, we are confident we have the right suspect in custody" but not straight up state that the suspect is guilty. There is normally room for the possibility of innocence to make sure the trial is fair

CNN is also now reporting that BK was found based on genealogic DNA analysis. Earlier (about 3 hrs ago) I posted that Judge Jeanine Pirro (on Fox news) had "sources" that said the same thing. Seems to be gaining momentum.

"Unknown DNA found in Idaho during the course of the investigation was taken through a DNA public database to find potential matches for family members, the source said. Once potential family matches were found, subsequent investigative work by law enforcement led to the identification of suspect Bryan Kohberger, according to the source."

Judge Jeanine Pirro on Foxnews (the Five) just sai she has "sources" that told her the suspect was tracked down with the use of genealogical DNA.

If that's true, wonder if the genealogical specimens were acquired from family members during the period he was under surveillance. Which day is garbage day in his parent's community - or his siblings ?
