What the heck? This one says " Vilt says DeOrr’s parents reported a similar-looking man inside a store in Leadore the day before their son went missing."

The day before?!
Which would mean they saw the leering man on Thursday night and not Friday day. Someone is using a magical calendar..

Look.. this is all beyond bizarre. NONE OF ANYTHING WE HAVE HEARD IS EVIDENCE.. it is INFORMATION..and not good information. MOO

Just my opinion on all of this

LE says call them not PI...Reward increase...IR is now represented...Does anyone sense disturbance in the force or am i just reading too much into this?

GOD I want this little boy found.

I honestly do not know what to think but I will say the description of the cougar attack on the other forum was very convincing. I could see the whole thing playing out in mind.

Well, this is interesting. In the first PI interview of this link, PI says he called DeOrr Kunz and asked if he saw any vehicles outside the store in Leadore. Kunz says he saw a very expensive looking black Jeep Rubicon. I don't think I have heard this before?

This is where I get confused. If this information is correct and truthful then I assume LE were informed at least before Frank Vilt was on the case, right?

So my question is.......Why have LE never issued a AA when they had a car and suspect description?

I thought it was an older black truck? It's in the parent's interview transcript. I'll search for it.

ETA: I found this in our media and timeline file

Looks like I missing this one in the original Media Links post:

From July 13, "Scaled-down search continues for toddler" http://www.ktvb.com/story/news/local...unty/30058523/

Includes this quote from the Aunt:
Family members have taken to Facebook:
An aunt posts: "Little man is missing and has possibly been abducted. Vehicles to look out for is older light blue GMC/Chevy late 80s early 90s, also possibly a black truck - unknown model."

It looks like the radio station just made a mistake when writing up the summary. The PI does not say that in the interview.

The older black truck that was mentioned in the interview was the supposed sighting of a man with a bawling, filthy child by the clerk at the store at 6:00 on Friday night. That is a different black truck, different time, different person reporting the sighting, etc.

Yes that and he straight out states he feels the GGP was neglectful after stepping into the trailer for a second!

Will LE now want to re-interview the GGP after this?
Why bother? Seriously! For version #246? This is like that old adage.. if you can't convince them, confuse them. Nothing useful from a re- re- re- re- interview is going to emerge. JMO

Same here, my mouth fell open when I heard that they'd seen that Rubicon. I mean how many just like that can there be in that part of the country. I would hope that the FBI is already involved in the investigation concerning the California siting. The little boy in that photo was as close to the spitting image of Deorr as one could get, IMO.

I had the same reaction when I heard that. However, a lot of people drive Jeeps in Idaho... And I also hope that LE or the FBI are following up with the boy in California.

I wonder if these recent twists - the tip about the man with the Black Rubicon and the little boy in California - are the reason why LE made the statement that tips should be reported to the Fusion Center and have asked the volunteer search group to cancel the planned search.

Another new point from the interview, GGP actually did go inside the trailer.

Neglect is a strong word in this case, especially if GGP gets charged with something like that. Yikes.

Since the PI says GGP was neglectful for stepping into the camper I have to assume that he thinks that is when the toddler went missing. Which is brand new info. I was wondering if maybe he went into the camper because he thought the toddler was with the parents. That would just make him confused.

Hi Kammie, this has occurred to me as well, that perhaps his remains hadn't been found if he had been buried. Or maybe he's not in the vicinity of that particular campground at all.

Also, just to clarify, I've been quite sure several times that I thought I knew what had happened, well, almost... But at this particular moment I'm pretty much in a state of indecisive limbo. The scenarios I think are possible that can be mentioned here are:

-Abduction by Cougar or other animal predator, either from the vicinity of the camp ground or after he wondered away from the camp ground area
-Wondered away and went beyond the area that was searched
-Abduction by humans, stranger or acquaintance

I'm totally with you. It could go any one those ways honestly.

You know, I hate when others do this, but I'm going to do it anyway. I've fallen so far behind in keeping up it's overwhelming to play catch-up. I do check in to see if Deorr has been found, but otherwise haven't been reading. Is anyone willing to give me a quick update? The last I knew nobody was named a POI or suspect and the FBI had just been brought in. I really appreciate it!
