I just experienced a tragic incident that has me thinking differently about this case. Our 6 lb chihuahua woke us up @ 3am to go potty (like every night) and we let her out and after 15 min she hadn't come back in (very unusual). Searched with flashlights in the woods, on the streets and all surrounding area, searched entire next 2 days - no luck. We found our pup deceased, approx 3 football fields away (straight line as bird flies) - over a steep cliff and apparently dumped in the lake. :(

We believe she was picked up by an eagle, osprey, or owl as many neighbors have been experiencing lost pets and one recent report of a large owl swooping within 5 or 6 feet of person with 35 lb dog on a leash. We also have coyotes in the area attacking chickens on people's property.

I believe if foulplay by animal (or fowl) as involved here - something would have shown up. Unless that specific area was never searched - no one detected any decomp smell - no clues have been identified.

So sorry for the loss of your pup, wenwe. :(

I'm wondering if the cafe or minimart has wifi?

Good point. I'd like to know if the FBI or Idaho Fusion Center has ascertained that all the POIs' cell phone locations coordinate with where they said they were. The lady in the store who saw the filthy bawling child with a man confuses me. In the parent's interview Deorr SR says yes that was me but the lady has the day wrong.

So many loose ends.

There is so much confusion around the bawling boy sighting. (Including my own.) I had the same impression as you, that DK brought up the rumor to debunk the TIME of the sighting and also debunk that the toddler was "filthy".

I need to remind myself that we have only been discussing this rumor because it was one that the parents brought up in their interview to debunk.

But it has never been relayed in any other sense in MSM or by LE as a real thing, ASFAIK. If it was just an SM rumor the parents were addressing, I have to ask myself, did this sighting ever get reported to LE and did it even happen in the first place?

What would be helpful is if whoever sold them the fries could say they were there eating fries and yes there was a creep in a jeep. That would start to lend more credibility to that lead because "staring" can be interpreted in different ways, but the more witnesses who can vouch, the better.

Does anyone know if the staring incident in Leadore occurred at the Stage Shop or the Silver Dollar? We know the fam went to the store and purchased items, but is that where they ate fries and saw the dude?

I know there was an in depth discussion here (a la the big boots discussion) about whether the store serves fries because they don't have a deep fryer, but they DO serve jojo's, but someone from ID would never call jojo's fries because they know their spuds--so does that mean they went over to the Silver Dollar to eat and is that where the PI says DK saw the Rubicon? I wonder if casinos have video surveillance. I know the sheriff dep joked that he didn't think anyone in Leadore had video, but I kind of got the impression that could have been a strategic statement, meaning they just didn't want to talk about what may or may not be on video.

I don't think there's anywhere else in town to go besides the hunting supplies place!

I think too that sometimes our brains play tricks on us in times of trauma/stress -- which leads to us reading more into situations that we might otherwise shrug off. An older man may have been wiggling big, fluffy eyebrows to make DeOrr laugh or giving a rambunctious DeOrr a dirty look for disrupting his peace, etc., and the otherwise fairly innocent interaction was built up to be something far more sinister as JM tried to make sense of what had happened. (pure speculation, thinking out loud, my opinion only).

bbm: First, "creep in a Jeep" is how I'm forever going to think of the unknown staring man. Second, isn't it odd that practically no one in Leadore has come forward to say anything? Other than the female RSO, no one has so much as peeped, and everyone has seemingly closed ranks. But why? It's strange to me, but then again, I'm not in a highly rural area, so maybe that's just how things are handled.

IMO The boots been missing is the biggest indicator of foul play and it's probably something the sheriff & FBI can not get past in been convinced he just wandered MOO.

Article dated July 13th.
http://www.ktvb.com/story/news/loca...-year-old-continues-in-lemhi-county/30058523/

Family members have taken to Facebook:

An aunt posts: "Little man is missing and has possibly been abducted. Vehicles to look out for is older light blue GMC/Chevy late 80s early 90s, also possibly a black truck - unknown model."

But Lemhi County has not issued an Amber Alert and given no information to media of a possible abduction.

I, for one, am sick of the entire boot discussion. I don't care if he was barefoot. No one has bothered to mention that reportedly a little toy truck was also supposedly in the baby's pocket and that hasnt been discovered either. He was wearing a jacket and pajama bottoms too.. ZILCH NADA NOTHING found. Tell me.. has anyone heard that a pet of any kind was also at the campsite? Not trying to start a rumor.. just a question.. MOO

Just my opinion on all of this.

^ This!

Boots / cats / weird men in vehicles / quoting 1 post at a time instead of multi-quoting.

Think I'll give myself a time out :gaah:

What I have a problem with is the parents going off for a walk.

Now I know myself and I'm sure all of you here. if u were with a relative and u had your child with u but wanted to go off for a walk on your own u take your child to the relative and say" hey me and joe here want to wander the wilderness for a bit will u watch Little Deorr for us till we get back.

It just seems to me like no one knew what the other was doing.
Everything here has been assumed.

Wen, how very sad. I know you miss him dearly. We have a little 4# chihuahua named Isaac. We have a large acreage behind our home and I always see the birds of prey on the hunt. Even though we keep him inside except when he needs to go out, I'm always aware of the risk even THAT presents. Thank goodness we have a covered patio which he seldom leaves. When our youngest son was serving in Iraq, a coyote grabbed his pug early one morning. His wife found him deceased the next day. He was simply heart broken :(

Please accept my sincere condolence.

I agree with you 100% wish we had more info, they say they wanted to look at the area, went for walk, then we hear it was his nap time,?? was he put down for nap, or he was next to fire pit with GGP?

There is no casino gambling in Idaho except for Indian casinos. I think the Silver Dollar is just a restaurant.

Maybe it was GGP's nap time!
