MOO We do know that SIL, per affidavit, was in touch and gave them the location of the pet cemetery through back and forth with FBI right before the warrant and "appeared to be on FBI speed dial"??? MOO (known to LE previously that she would work with them, as they called her straight away, and even Chad accused MG of being on the side of SIL even wayyyyyyyyyyy back on Dec 8th 2019 in MG call we heard, so he knew where the SIL stood way back on December 8th!. How did he know then, and more importantly, why did he know that!??)

Yes LDSScientist, it appears that even Chad knew that the SIL (per MG call) was not on "his page", yet he stated such on December 8 2019 to MG. So sad that she was shunned (my word, not technical or religious) and she is having to go through this. As we all know here that follow cases, the living are victims that have to go through heck being associated. It appears to confirm, even from Chad in the MG call, that he was aware. Even BEFORE this hit the news!

That was a DIFFERENT sister in law.

The one who wrote the letter is married to Chads brother and she is the one Chad didn’t like.

The sister in law who told the police that Tammy had a pet cemetery is Tammys sister. She just shared with LE that both she and Lori had pet cemeteries.

IMO the letter indicates that SIL thinks CD and LVD were true believers in their visions and such, and no one was "making things up" for nefarious reasons. I thought that was interesting, but I recall reading they weren't close for awhile because CD beliefs were getting to be strange. MOO

Full transcript of Lori Daybell secret phone call recording

The SIL that pointed out the location of the pet cemetery was Tammy's sister SG, not Chad's brother's wife that wrote the latest letter. Chad might have had a problem with both. Early in the investigation his children became estranged from Tammy's side of the family (as per one of our VIs).

Lori Vallow Daybell will now be arraigned on Sept. 10 at 1:30 p.m. Her original date was Aug. 27 but her attorney, Mark Means, is scheduled for another trial that day. Chad Daybell’s arraignment is set for this Friday at 9 a.m. He is expected to plead guilty or not guilty. Arraignments are normally not very long and the judge could set a date for a jury trial. EastIdahoNews.com will stream the hearing live.

She was asked to write the letter by the stake president.

ETA: I have since read the entire letter. It's a little confusing as to who asked whom to send/write what. The letter was distributed by another person, who is the stake Relief Society president.

I think you have pretty well got it. My understanding, just for clarification, is:

The Stake President (the leader supervising 10 or so local wards (congregations)) directed Heather Daybell (the stake's Relief Society (women's organization within the church) President) along with leaders of other sub-groups within the stake (Young Women's President, etc.) to pass along a message (talk) from one of the church's general leaders (Elder Corbridge) that he wanted members of the stake to study. This is an entirely routine type of request, perhaps given monthly or quarterly by the stake president and then passed along by the rest of stake leadership to the corresponding leaders within each of the wards (in this case, one of the wards' Relief Society president posted this particular email and added a paragraph at the end). There's no direct evidence in the letter itself suggesting that the stake president asked Heather Daybell to say anything about the Chad situation.

When Heather Daybell passed this message about Elder Corbridge's talk along to each of the wards' Relief Society presidents, she added her own thoughts, which comprise the bulk of the letter -- intertwining thoughts about Chad and the talk. It's possible the Stake President had asked Heather Daybell to give her thoughts on the Chad situation but also possible she just did so on her own because the situation had been weighing on her. I lean toward the latter possibility, based on the context/way the points were framed.

I don't think this letter will have much bearing in any way on the legal case against Chad. Heather and Matt Daybell were already on the record, through the media several months ago, as distrusting Chad's beyond-LDS beliefs. This letter simply reinforces that sentiment.

It's us who are suspicious of Chad and Lori's motives. Chad's SIL might have just assumed that he believed what he was spouting.

Different SIL. Tammy's sister gave them the location. Heather Daybell is married to Chad's brother Matt.

Oh gosh, I went and corrected my post thanks! I totally missed that as now more players to follow. Appreciate the quick correction so I could edit my post within the 60 minutes as to not have others being confused. To Chad - both would be "sister in law" so missed the difference.

IMO the prosecutor of these murderers won’t even need to bring up The LDS church beliefs at all.

it is Chad and Lori on trial. They could be satanists and still believe they were gods who lived in past lives etc and that people became zombies. So weird are they that they sacrificed human beings for their own pleasure.

I wonder why MM didn’t tell the judge he had a trial and couldn’t make the arraignment on that date to begin with? Seems something more is going on.

IIRC, there was not a hearing when it was transferred to another court, so perhaps counsel was not consulted.

Yes I will. I was thinking I’d do a few extra drives past the women’s detention center that day or something.

The letters bug me because the vast majority of people have the sense to know you can't blame the LDS as a whole for this case. Nothing in that letter is anything new. Someone is always going to take some belief to a weird extreme, granted not usually murder. There is always going to be some ultra righteous person that thinks they are better than, holier than, etc.

I still don't believe this has anything to do with the LDS church as a whole. They got their little foundation for their twisted beliefs from there to give them credibility and ran with it. Jmo

I feel bad for any person that's treated badly or judged for what a relative did or does. I know it happens. But it isn't her (the SIL) fault or the fault of her husband.

To me, these letters are just more peripheral noise.

Jmo

I take the letter as evidence that those who produced and issued it think that Chad had more followers and sympathizers than just the unholy seven we have been sleuthing. JMO,ICBW.
