It's possible, but on the other hand, if they knew that and purposely waited, there was always the possibilty of CD vanishing or hiding somewhere, perhaps another country so when they got the info, it was time to move in and grab him. I'd guess that if YNP was part of the plan to dispose of the kids, they would have had to do both kids at the same time. Maybe their plans got thwarted somehow with lots of people around and had to go to a plan B. Just a guess.

Rexburg is pretty small, relatively. CD probably didn't have a chance to bolt.

Nothing specific about Chad/Lori, but gives a nice sense of "folk" vs "official" apocalypticism in the LDS church and how that relationship changed over time. Also briefly mentions the Harmston group that @Forever Young has mentioned in a few recent posts.

My DH is 8 years older than me.

Looks like 15 years difference for JR and 18, 19 for CV? I may or may not remember her age. I didn't double check.

I don't think that judging someone based on the age difference in a spouse, or how many divorces a person has had is any sort of yardstick of measuring character.

Just saying.

What is a felony information?

I learned that our mountain home in the VA Blue Ridge has a cemetery on the property, way down by the road, no headstones. The plot first appears on a map dated 1911. A local woman famous for her “dowsing” talents has identified at least 12 graves there. Might be more, but it started raining hard, so we skedaddled. Mass murder? Typhoid epidemic? Overflow from the former poorhouse a mile away? I’d love to know.

Years ago, my neighbor lady who was about 15 years older than me, and I were discussing this. She said to me, "Would you rather be an old man's darling, or a young man's slave?"

I went to work that evening and shared this saying with my co-worker, a woman who was 20 years older than me. She replied with much enthusiasm, "Slave! Slave!"

Spanish flu?

A few graves might be related, but the cemetery was already there by the time of the Spanish Flu, 1918. It’s possible, but I am not aware that there were any Spanish Flu deaths around here; it was even more rural back then than it is now. I can’t wait to sleuth out who those graves contain and what their lives were like!
