For justice
For the memorials soon

Whichever way you slice it, she's getting some of the attention she wants regardless.
The only reason she is getting attention is because she is an evil black widow who left a trail of misery and death behind her for years. Its finally catching up to her.

She looks amazingly good for being locked up for this amount of time. That's some pampered hair, imo.

Yeah. Treatment is like a spa. It is so annoying. The "clients" are gently treated, because they are "sick" and getting "treatment".

The entitlement mentality is epic.

IMO, if getting her hair done helps her make it to trial, so be it. Humiliation of the defendant based on their looks is probably not part of the system.

JMO but I think that maybe the problem folks are having with her hair is that she seems to care more about her looks than the horrid things she has done and not taking any responsibility for it….after all, she is a mother who was involved in the murder of her children and terrible disposal of their bodies.

By the time she goes to trial, I fully expect her to show up in a Sunday suit with glasses on sitting in a lowered seat next to her attorney…that meek innocent look that defense attorneys try to make their clients look like that we can see way past.

I just think all this clamor over her looks is because .... it is ALL we have. Ha!
Living with this case for over two years.... and we finally see something happening.

I'm super interested in seeing her demeanor once she returns. JMO

Same here. I am curiously awaiting any and all of her future appearances in front of the judge. It will be her demeanor that will be most interesting.

Didn’t they make the transfer at 1 am? She probably WAS tired.
I agree. Obviously, LV's hair has always been a huge deal for her, and that's not going to change. But she's competent enough now to realize she's facing the death penalty, and I don't think that should be trivialized by mocking her.

I wouldn’t place ANY bets on what she realizes. She believes what she wants to believe. I just see her and think instantly of her two sweet and innocent children - deserving of their lives - murdered and left to rot, ungrieved, in the ground.

And I just want a jury to start hearing the evidence and getting on with their deliberations.

Yes, that's what I meant, a trial is a serious business, hopefully the jury will focus on the evidence and not her hairstyle, or trying to read her mind as she sits in court.

ETA, but I believe the judge would not have declared her competent without ensuring she understands that she may face the death penalty. And I think judges know a lot more about this than I do.

On court days, that's one thing, she sure doesn't need it for her mug shots or any other day!

Wanting a criminal to not receive special treatment is not humiliating, nor mocking her.

I guess I missed this, did we know that LD was way the heck up in Orofino receiving treatment? She was at State Hospital North. That's about 480 miles, nearly an eight hour drive from Rexburg.

That's per Nate Eaton on a Reporter's Roundtable interview I heard today on our local public radio station.

It's Boise State Public Radio, but I can't find link. So imo

As some others have pointed out, taking care of her appearance might have been part of the process of restoration to competency, so it's not special treatment.

Personally, I give a rat's patootie what LVD looks like in a photo, or in the courtroom on TV. She will always be hideous looking in my eyes. The ugly radiates outward from the rot within. There's no changing that, IMO

Well now she's competent, so treat her like any other prisoner. She isn't special.
