Speaking of that home, does Chad still own it? Do his kids live in it?
Yes, and yes.

I can't prove that is what the truck was there for, but it is what Rent-a-Center does and the only logical reason for them to be there unless it was to drop off new rental furniture.
Video: Husband of Idaho mom whose kids went missing refuses to speak on their whereabouts
Listen during 8:34 and on until the end: "Chad, faithfully at her side since this ordeal began, was not present at today's hearing. Instead Chad was spotted with the truck moving furniture from the Hawaii condo he was staying at with Lori." Also see Chad carrying the mattress out of the condo (8:43 in blue shirt) with help from the two from Rent-a-Center (guy in grey shirt and black Rent-a-Center hat and woman in red Rent-a-Center shirt). Also see 8:46 in the video with the same woman in red shirt driving Rent-a-Center truck away from the condo entrance.

I believe CD and LVD did their first podcast together around December of 2018, IIRC.

The Daily Mail had an article saying they first did a podcast together in Dec 2017.
From the timeline I have:

Dec 2017 – Lori and Chad made their first appearance together on a podcast (Daily Mail)

I can't recall if we have any other verification of that claim and Daily Mail can sometimes get things wrong... I'll see if I can find the article I pulled that factoid from.

LE has video of that shooting?
How a Gilbert drive-by shooting is tied to the Idaho missing children
Detailed Case Timeline Part II (2)
2 Oct 2019
– BB, husband of Lori’s niece Melani, is shot at in the driveway of his Gilbert, AZ home; A bullet narrowly misses him and shatters the driver’s side window of BB’s car. The shooter is driving a vehicle matching the description of Tylee’s Jeep. A police report is filed. The Jeep was caught on CCTV and was later confirmed to be registered to the late Charles Vallow. The Jeep was later found in Rexburg, ID and impounded by police for evidence (Family interview on GH; Fox News & Arizona Republic).

I’m just looking through the media thread now. If I’m wrong I’ll change my post. I was sure I’d read that they had some CCTV...but I’ve read that much now its quite possible I’m confused. Still going through that thread though MOO

No worries! I would love it if in fact there is video. I have been borderline obsessed with following this case, but because there are so many layers and tangents to the main cast of characters, my brain starts to feel like a cerebral salad...haha. I haven't gone through all of the comments on this thread since early this morning...do you know if anything new got posted today that is significant that you know of?

Thank you. So does anyone still believe Melani?

"Aren’t we just discussing and ruminating on possibilities, Or has Websleuths actively solved crimes in the past? Or found lost persons? I’m not being sarcastic I seriously am asking."

My response: It seems to me that some of us (myself included) are keen to continue discussing this intriguing case. For that reason, whenever there is a lull in new verifiable events or "hard" evidence, we get into peripheral topics out of frustration--and a desire to stay connected.
MOO

"I’ve also noticed that only certain people are “called out” for going on tangents & off topic, while others are free to post silly stuff about Harry Potter, making negative comments about suspects looks, etc. I’m really confused. Maybe some long timers on here can clarify?"

thanks[/QUOTE]

Ah, yes, you are correct. I was exhausted when I posted that. Lol. My bad. Thank you for clarifying what I meant. I'm going to need therapy after this case is over...and a vacation. Haha
Yes I made a similar exhausted post last night in which I had to be corrected. This case can easily turn anyone's brain inside out!

My impression too, that there's a still photo after the fact, but no actual video.

Yes, I was
Are you referring to the jeep that was registered to CV that was used in the attempt on BB? I believe the poster was talking about a rental car that LV had on the day of CV’s death.
Referring to the BB shooting jeep. Sorry to confuse anyone. I will shut up for now. Lol. I clearly need to refuel my brain.

I missed the earlier discussions of this I think, but was AC, LV, or any of the other people present taken in for questioning after the shooting? It seems like there would’ve been a very very thorough investigation. I was surprised reading that LV had a pool party, when I would’ve thought she would be busy at the police station answering the many questions there should’ve been regarding CV’s death.

AC, LVD, and Tylee were all taken in for questioning.

That's very interesting. Even here though I would have expected Alex to be arrested. He admitted to murder.

Please where did Alex admit to murder? I thought he stated self-defense in his initial call to LE.
Or are you saying that in your country's legal system, what AC did would be considered murder?

is a possible defense at trial but it would not normally be something that the police would automatically determine at the scene.

BBM. That's interesting to me in a general way. If we suppose he needs warmer clothing, we suppose all his clothes at his house are gone. IF that's true, he had no intention of ever going back to Idaho (or leaving Hawaii). Jmo
Also, he would not find a lot of warm clothes in a thrift store in Hawaii!

Man says ex-wife, who is cousin of missing Idaho kids, knows where they are; she denies it

2/28/20

Documents filed in Maricopa County Superior Court last week allege Lori Vallow's niece knows the location of her children who have been missing for more than five months.
[..]

In court documents, Brandon claims Melani told her new husband, Ian Robert Pawlowski, "sometimes children are full of light and then just like that they go dark." Pawlowski later told police that information, according to the documents.
[..]

In the recent court documents, Brandon [ex-husband of Melani] claims Pawlowski [new husband] told police that Melani [wife/niece of LV] told him she conspired with her uncle, Alex, to kill Brandon.

Brandon believed Melani conspired to kill him before their divorce finalized "to cash in" on a policy "to help support the cult that she is believed to be part of," according to the court documents.

"Father asserts that Mother had a Million Dollars of reasons to have Father killed," the documents stated.

Last December, Brandon told The Arizona Republic that Lori Vallow joined a radical religious group in 2018. In social media posts and media interviews, family and friends of Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell have described the couple's religious beliefs as cultlike and troubling, saying they spoke frequently of the end of the world.

RECORDS: Divorce papers show mom of 2 missing kids said she was a god, threatened to kill husband

According to Brandon, Melani began spending time with her aunt and the group before suddenly demanding a divorce last summer.

"Father asserts that Mother is heavily involved with a doomsday cult located primarily out of the town in which Mother currently resides. Mother left Arizona almost immediately after the attempt on Father's life, leaving without a trace and leaving her children behind," the court documents state.

"Mother only now comes forward as she feels that the suspicious death of her uncle who was the shooter in the incident involving children, has somehow freed her from her role in the attempt on Father's life. This is simply not the case," it continued.

Gilbert Police Department spokesperson Brenda Carrasco said Thursday that the investigation into the Oct. 2 shooting was ongoing. She said investigators previously contacted Melani about the case, but she has not been identified as a suspect.

"We are unable to substantiate the claims made about Mrs. Pawlowski in the child-custody court filings submitted by Mr. Boudreaux," Carrasco said. "Our investigators are continuing to follow up on all leads related to this case."
Im not sure how much of brandons story i buy. He may have strong suspicions and they msy be correct but i would like to know how he knows some of the things he is claiming that he does.
One of the things he alleges is that peope associated with the cult are disapearing and turning up dead. We know about the ones we been discussing but I'd be curious if other members of other cult members are having similiar experiences.

What confuses me is his claim that IP is making comments. To the point IP is giving up his own parenting time. It's all quite believable until he shows up hand in hand with MBP. I dunno. But MBP came off as completely unhinged in her rebuttal statement. Jmo

I just don’t understand why one off-topic subject is OK but others are not, that’s all I am trying to determine so I can stay on topic And “abide by the rules.

Moderation of a busy forum like this is difficult and somewhat subjective. When I was new I also had similar questions. It’s not like moderators are watching every topic post by post so it may seem like some are singled out but I don’t believe that.

Just post about the case and there won’t be any moderation questions. They do a decent job considering the massive traffic the site gets. I don’t agree with everything but like the people who post here so I stay.

Aloha!

Yes, but - reading between the lines - it looks very much that as if, in order to, for example, get the intel of IP added to the original affidavit against Lori (IP's response to a question from LE was in there as a minor point), what it basically means, is not so much that IP was "cooperating" with people asking these questions; but that he was "cooperating" with people merely when he had no other choice, and couldn't figure out how to get himself out of the talking-to-authorities portion of his schedule. (Much like, it now seems, his wife MBP; whom Nate Eaton specifically said has been getting out of talking to them at minimum, by the simple if flimsy expedient of denying being herself, when they call her up and she answers the phone at her Rexburg home .)

It's entirely possible you're right. My only point is that (again, unless I've missed something), we only have BB's assertion about what IP said.

BB's assertion may be 100% true (and in some ways, I hope it is, as would seem to make the cases much tidier). But I don't think we've heard that LE has independently corroborated BB's claim regarding IP.

Perhaps I'm too suspicious of whether/why LE would reveal IP's testimony to BB.

Ha. So basically MB think since Dead men (Alex) tell no tales, that she is in the clear? Alrighty then.
It raises an eyebrow as far as I’m concerned that lucky for her AC is now dead and that ACP’s widow/wife ZP was supporting MBP in court yesterday. Seems a little fishy to me that maybe the real relationship and loyalty that ZP has is with Lori and MBP. Likelty not to her husband who conveniently died in her home (arguably to the advantage of Lori and MBP) after marrying her and taking on her last name. ZP and her motivations seem super sketchy. MOO

Also, he would not find a lot of warm clothes in a thrift store in Hawaii!

My guess is that since he was moving out of the condo, he was not there to purchase anything but rather to drop stuff off--maybe kitchen ware, miscellaneous stuff.
