IDIs On This Forum?

IrishMist, please see post #217 in the "Ask Super" thread. It is an excellent explanation about the pineapple and why it is important:

Thank you, BOESP, but I'm interested in Holdon's theory. As I said earlier, I'd be open to IDI if I heard a theory that realistically incorporated all of the evidence; and that one of the major stumbling blocks for IDI, IMO, is the pineapple.

My question is this: Since Holdon thinks JB was bound upstairs, (because, like (s)he said "What are you going to do, ask her to go to the basement nicely, carrying her with her arms and legs free?") then where does the pineapple fit in?

HOTYH seems to be completely IDI, so if I'm to hear a credible IDI theory, It seems that HOTYH is the one to ask.

Whatever.

Whatever  ? I think that was a less than a cordial response to a serious request for non biased proof of a claim made as a fact on the forum. I thank you for the reference and please understand till I can verify that information as truth I have questions that remain. Especially when I recall it differently. I cant find a source for that information to be verified from evidence lists or other search requests and I just did yet another search and also spent a good deal of time going through Acandyrose. Wiki and evidence lists over there If you have documentation other than DOI for this to be verified with please share it and I thank you for it in advance, The poster who provided this also can not seem to locate the source. If you can provide this information then I shall it book mark it and use it as a reference hereafter. After all this is a seach for fact and truth.

(I asked this earlier, but I'm afraid the question got buried in the discussion.)

Where does the pineapple fit into this scenario?

I think the pineapple would have to be part of an interaction between JBR and her assailants, between the time she was brought to the basement and the time she was killed.

Now you're losing me. If she's tied up, don't you think fear is going to outweigh snack-time?

Hmmm... thanks for answering, though.

So, would you place Patsy and Burke in the realm of possible assailants since their fingerprints were on the bowl and glass that was sitting near the bowl?

No, I wouldn't. Their fingerprints, like their fibers, would be strange if absent from their own house. Intruder fingerprints would be more surprising, since most intruders wear gloves.

So you think a gloved Intruder tied up JonBenet and took her downstairs and fed her pineapple? I would think she would scream her head off if forced to do that.

Let's not forget the pineapple in the tupperware bowl in JB's bedroom. Did someone serve JonBenet pineapple and than she went upstairs to eat it?

There WAS no pineapple in a Tupperware bowl in her bedroom. There was Tupperware bowl, but it has never been stated anywhere that it had pineapple in it. There was pineapple found in exactly two places. First, in a bowl with PR's fingerprints on it, (which incidentally appears in a photo on a table at the R Christmas party on Dec. 23, 2 days before the murder). And second in the stomach of JBR, found at autopsy and later matched to the pineapple in the bowl, which LE had frozen so it could be tested.

Does the photo show a bowl with pineapple in it? Really?

The crime scene photo of course shows a bowl with pineapple in it. It's been posted many times. That photo was taken on Dec.26th, so the bowl was probably out since at least the day before. You must have seen it. It's on several sites about the case.
The same bowl appears in a photo taken at the party on the 23rd, where it is one of many dishes on the table. It is not a crime scene photo, but rather a family photo, so the contents THAT DAY were not photographed as they were by LE on the 26th.
The bowl of pineapple has never been in dispute as far as its existence. It is clearly mentioned by LE when interviewing PR. And it is listed among evidence taken as well.

There's no such thing as a fingerprint-free dish in a house. Every dish has fingerprints on it as soon as it leaves the dishwasher. The bowl has to have PR's or somebody's prints on it. PR's fingerprints found on her bowl doesn't seem very remarkable.

For some reason the last posts that is showing for this thread is 953 and it is not advancing and it is not snowing posts past that and I know there have been posts to this thread way past that. Can someone tell me where the posts are or went? Id like to see if there had been further response to a post I made and something is messed up?!?

What seems to be missing is the adding of pages and the proper denotation of page numbers. Is everyone elses ok? How do we get this straightned out?

So the source was judge Carnes. But Carnes got her info only from the Ramsey defense team and from Chris Wolf's lawyer. Lou Smit was of the opinon that the knots were "sophisticated" slip knots, and Carnes simply repeated it.
But those knots are not sophisticated. They are very simple knots. Any kindergartner able to tie an overhand knot can tie those simple slip knots too. :)

The widely publicized photo of the 2nd ligature clearly shows a double slip knot at one end. Both loops would close when the cord is pulled.

Would you have done the same had the source been Thomas' book? I think the Ramseys were involved just as much as you do, but don't see every single solitary word in their book as being a blatant self-serving lie.

Holdon, regarding JonBenet eating pineapple, what interaction do you see between JonBenet and someone who intruded with intentions to harm her? The autopsy strongly suggests the pineapple was eaten at least two hours before death (pineapple fragments were found in the upper small intestine). The Ramseys say they were in bed by 10:30 PM or so. This is a tricky timeline to work out for an Intruder who doesn't want to be discovered.

Toltec, I believe Lou Smit speculated the Tupperware bowl COULD have had pineapple in it. The affidavits for warrants don't describe any type of Tupperware or plastic bowl with pineapple being on the list of evidence to recover.

I can't remember the source, but somewhere I read the Tupperware bowl was used to hold beads for JonBenet's beading projects.
