We had best stay on the topic of Mr. Smollett, and his racially motivated hate crime hoax. The motive of which is victimization, attention, and creating social tension.

There is a book written by Wilfred Reilly, about Racial Hoaxes. It is amazing how many of these hoaxes have happened, and are rarely reported.

It's also amazing how many actual crimes happen, also not reported.

Was Subway even open that night in question? I live in KC and nearly everything virtually closed down that night. You would have to be pretty starved to go out for a sandwich at 2 AM. Much less there's not enough hate for a criminal to brave that weather to pour bleach out of a quirt bottle on someone. The guy could have picked better weather for this hoax. Just sayin...

To be on the safe side, any long term cold below freezing will start to affect the bleach once you get in to the 18-20 degree range (Fahrenheit).

Exactly. I always take everything I see in the media with a grain of salt. There is likely some nugget of truth. But it appears that furthering agenda is always more important than accurately sharing news.

IMO media outlets are just as divided as the country. I think it’s a good advice not to live in one media (or social media) bubble. Read a lot, fact check and do not cease thinking for yourself.

Which story? I believe it was the producer of Empire who posted a picture of Jussie in the hospital if you mean how this first made the news.

I believe the answer is "whomever usually talks to TMZ and however they get their information", as first reports seemed to come from them (willing to be corrected on this if someone knows better). They could listen to police scanners, or have someone local who does so, or maybe an anonymous tip/leak.
