The story seemed like a grade B movie script from the beginning:

- The men appear out of nowhere. No build up to the attack. Rather, the men attack immediately while shouting political slogans.
- They just happened to have a rope and also happened to be wearing MAGA hats.
- They escape into the night.... .

Apparently he never did claim the MAGA hats, but the rest of it is problematic.

A premeditated attack in the middle of the night.

These guys would have had to have known that he would run out at 2AM.

They were equipped with a rope and bleach, which is just weird.

Outnumbered two to one by some very well built men, he escapes with superficial injuries.

He claims they were white, and yelled racial epithets.

Incidentally, he has been politically outspoken, and his account of the attack fits perfectly into a narrative that jibes with his views.

These suspects are black, and they know him.

They leave the country hours later, which is a wild coincidence.

I think that people have every right to be skeptical here.

It took about 2 hrs to go to Subway, buy a sandwich and walk back to his apartment? He didn't eat his sandwich there did he? I thought he had the sandwich in his hand on video entering his apartment building?

Maybe he ate the salad there and the sandwich was for his friend?

I think they are going to roll on him if it's a hoax because I can't see them taking the hit for a hate crime. That's big jail time.

This can have long reaching consequences for these gentlemen, I had originally thought that they were from Nigeria, but it appears that they are not, not completely sure. But if they are not US citizens, this situation could really jam them up.

Law and Order SVU is definitely going to episode based on this.

I do think in the dark after you've been punched in the face and then theres a frenzied attack, if the assailants were wearing black ski masks like he said you could mistake someones ethnicity or make an assumption if they said racial epithets like Jussie claimed.

I still have troubling believing what Jussie said happened could have occurred within a 60 second time frame and given as others have said the build of the suspects, if both of them attacked you at once I don't think you'd walk away easily.


Did anyone else see the tip CWB says they received over a week ago, its been completely proven right so far and they even had the name of the hardware store the clothesline was purchased at. Yeah. Certain aspects of his account can be explained away, but the second you discount one part, another glaring problem pops up.

So they've been charged with "battery." What kind of sentence does that carry?

These two men knew Jussie. Went to the gym with him (they must have trained him to "fight back" because those dudes are ripped!), Instagram pals, etc. Surely they could have picked a better time to attack their friend than the middle of a frigid night when it was extremely unlikely (but super lucky as it turns out!) they'd even encounter him.

We’ve followed enough cases on here, that we know when something ain’t right.

I agree, but then I think maybe it is true because how could anyone be stupid/evil enough to make all of this up? Especially a high profile person. I really can't wrap my head around it.
