Even if you did have something to hide as long as its unrelated to the investigation at hand i.e. you bought drugs earlier in the night, have naughty pictures on your phone or had a hook up with someone who isn't your significant other, LE won't care. Especially in a case with a high profile victim, unless there is something truly heinous or disproves the crime altogether, IMHO LE won't care.
At this point even if they caught the alleged perpetrators, theres no way they could win a case, a defense attorney would tear Jussie's reluctance to share his phone records to shreds and would probably be able to subpoena his full phone data and/or bring in an expert witness to talk about how data can be tampered with.
I hope justice is served for Jussies sake. He deserves that.
I’ve been off work for 3 weeks as I was attacked early morning on my way to work.
Man I wish LE was this invested in me. How I would hand anything over to help arrest my assaulter and help me feel safe again.
But alas here we are. Lol.
I’m ok btw. Going back to work tomorrow.![]()
The statement added: “Jussie has voluntarily provided his phone records from within an hour of the attack and given multiple statements to police.
......
I think TMZ was the first national outlet to report it. 'Empire' Star Jussie Smollett Tells Cops His Attackers Touted MAGAQuick question: How did this incident/ alleged incident first come to the attention of the media?
Does anyone know?
If anything it seems Jussie and team are more upset with the media than LE.
After all the Superintendent has said that JS is considered a victim.
What we do have are some media tweeting to say they have sources that are hinting otherwise.
Other media are following along. It does make a good story and garners hits.
This doubt from the public seems to have started because they can't find the two guilty people, although last I read LE still want to question the two figures from the video who have been determined not to be homeless as earlier reported.
So I think we need to wait for an actual statement coming directly from higher up in LE. IMO

Yet is also says “police publicly stated that the records Smollett and his manager provided weren’t sufficient for solving the case...”
So, which is it? What exactly did he give them within one hour of the attack?
How much ya wanna bet the headlines will be Jussie Smollett vs. “racist CPD” within a week.
CPD really need to be on top of this, because if it goes sideways we don’t need anymore violence against cops. They need to be 100% one way or another, so I’m sure they’re taking everything into consideration.
It would be hard to splash someone with bleach that is contained in a hot sauce bottle. Whenever I use hot sauce out of a bottle I have to hold it upside down and shake it. Its more like a dribble-dribble and not a splash.
Unless of course it is one of those huge Costco style bulk containers!!
Yes that does make sense.I understood the “within one hour of the attack” to mean all phone calls within one hour before the time frame of the attack, not that he turned over his phone records one hour after the actual attack? Does that make sense?
I'm sorry but I can no longer find the few articles from media that reported the two men were not homeless.Could you please link where it states that the two figures on the video are not homeless? I haven't seen that yet.
I think this attack is very multi-faceted.
Look up HR35 Anti-Lynching Bill introduced by Chicago Democratic Congressman and former Black Panther Bobby Rush on January 3rd, a little over 2 weeks before the threat letter sent to the victim and 26 days before the attack.
Look up the crisis management PR firm SunshineSachs and it's founder Ken Sunshine.
Ken Sunshine is the former Chief of Staff of former NYC Mayor David Dinkins.
He worked managing current NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio, and worked with both NY Governor's Mario and Andrew Cuomo.
His initial clients included the 1992 Democratic National Convention working with Ron Brown, then chairman of the Democratic Party.
