As we await a verdict in the Jussie Smollett trial, it’s time to marvel at the splendor of the 26th and Cal courthouse Christmas tree. I love how it’s roped off…probably to keep people from stealing all those lavish decorations?

What do the rest of you think will be his sentence if found guilty? Probation or time? I hope this judge makes him serve time because of the seriousness of the crime. Does she have that option because of the circumstances or are Chicago’s jails too full so she will let him walk?

I hope he gets jail time. The max would be best. He wasted precious time and man power when time and people probably could have helped someone else. He lied, to make himself important….he even appears to think it’s funny….in my eyes. There are consequences not just a little slap on the wrist…..and others need the same thing to happen to them…..that are involved…moo. Will see. He has messed up,his career. He is not trustworthy. IMO, besides the waste of government time and money. the damage done to REAL victims of hate crimes is what is most egregious. Will there be doubts now, if any are alleged? Hell yes. And, rightly so... Dumb *

TBH I'm not sure. Personally I think he's guilty as sin but I'm not sure that the prosecution proved it to the necessary standard. I really hope I'm wrong but I have doubts that its a complete lock for the prosecution

100% agree.
I saw something recently referencing this case that said “The demand for racism far outweighs it’s availability”.

IMO this whole hoax is proof of that.

I absolutely do and if he isn’t, justice will be denied to everyone. He cost LE wasted time and money when Chicago needs every LE resource 24/7.
Also I am wondering whether he can be ordered to pay restitution to reimburse the city. Maybe that on top of community service would be at lesst something toward justice. IMO

The lead detective testified he did not know the results of testing from the guns found in the Osundairos' apartment. Uche: "You don’t want to know if the gun is part of a violent crime or if it’s used by a gang who targets a group of celebrities? Because that happens."

Uche says cops were in such a rush to judge Smollett that they ignored the fact that the Osundairos had heroin and guns in a safe in their home. "Are you kidding??"

Is there a criminal history to verify that these brothers were scammers? I doubt it because Ola owned his guns legally.

Defense stated that only one of the brothers had s criminal record and that he afterwards went to college and earned three separate degrees. Obviously it was the other brother without a criminal history was permitted to C&C.

I seem to remember that while police were busy investigating this "hate crime", chicago had more than a dozen homicides those first few days. I remember a small child being killed in a drive by, iirc. How about as part of his sentence, he goes and speaks to that babies mom, and he can explain why there weren't enough detectives to investigate her child's death as everyone was busy with poor Jussie, and his racist hate crime. I hope they put his sorry lying @$$ in jail!!!

I do not recall seeing/reading anything about the brothers' implied book during the trial. I also don't think it was objected to either. But, if either of them or both are writing one, it would probably be a best seller! Unlike if Smollett wrote one....which would be like OJ's " If I did it" book. Lol

I wouldn't mind probation. Because what this really opened up is a foundation for the federal "White Powder letter", with the Postmaster General having ability to press charges.

I am very interested that we have not heard from anyone who so vehemently supported JS. With zero evidence. Where is his team of supporters? Crickets.
