Anyone local or otherwise know if it was an appeals Judge who released him? Surely not the judge who gave him a tongue lashing before sentencing I hope. Kim Foxx needs to be imprisoned or at the very least disbarred. This judge who released him needs to go too asap IMO
I’m glad I experienced Chicago long ago because I wouldn’t dare take my kids or future grandkids there with the rampant crime and corruption. Shame because Chicago has a lot of to enjoy but not anymore. I’m tired of hearing from Jussie and his family while people are being killed in Ukraine. These people need to get over themselves and get a life. Unbelievable!

Thank you for the link. I finally found it after searching through links on fox 32.

Just to be clear, no station in Chicago broke into programming to broadcast this.

And what is with our useless MSM? We don’t live in Russia or China? We are like a bunch if mushrooms kept in the dark and fed a bunch of BS. Thankful for Websleuths.com otherwise we would remain in the dark.

Just so ya know...I've lived here all my life. I have seen scenes similar to this play out in our courts. Nothing will change, IMO.
Dan Webb did his 'job'.....JS was convicted.
Kim Foxx is still actively employed by the government....
The self admitted political activist and social justice warrior walks free tonight...convicted of staging a hate crime.
We will hear nothing further. There is no more outrage.
Oz has spoken
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...
Move along...

I’m sure a family member or six will have something to say either before the 11 o’clock news or first thing in the morning.

What I do not get? Why is he herded around in the middle of a crowd of security guards?

What does he expect is going to happen?? He really is not important in the grand scheme of things or is he??

Not meaning to minimize the seriousness of his crimes but who is after him??

What the heck? Other people serve their sentence during the appeal process.
Smollett is "important" and above the laws that we "little" people have to follow. I am ashamed of my country's legal system.

I trust foreign media more than our own. It's outrageous that he gets free because no other person would be given such a gift. Our justice system is shameful. I guess the rich are not required to follow the same laws as the middle class and poor.

Same. This is what is happening all over the US and we are led to believe that we are helpless. Fund the police and punish the criminals. IMO

IMO Jussie Smollett is not 'rich' or wealthy.
He is protected, by the protected class

Just to give perspective, Defense Attorney Tamara Walker was mentored by Johnnie Cochran (O.J.Simpson).

Please do not judge Chicago by this. It is a truly a great place to live. :)

Good to know that she was mentored by JC. I don’t agree with him on OJ but he definitely deserves respect for his successful and more than adequate defense skills. Unfortunately I no longer feel safe in Chicago. As I said it is a shame because Chicago has so much to offer and is indeed a beautiful city. Live your best life and stay safe. I meant no harm.

BBM No wonder she has that attitude.

It is beyond maddening that the courts are enabling this sociopath and his delusional, self-absorbed family/entourage.

Chappelle did his part to speak truth to this clown and his outrageous story when it first broke a few years ago. I would love him to speak up again and I would love to see other high profile/famous people do the same this time. Then I would love to see a reporter ask a family member or even ask Jussie what he thinks of the Chappelle bit from a few years ago and any new ones calling out his bs.

I agree. These delusions of grandeur that he has. Surrounded like he is the president of the USA---it's unspeakably ridiculous.

He wanted to be something more than he was and he perpetrated this fraud to become a bigger name. I'd never heard of him before, though I suppose he had his share of fans, but he was no superstar. The epic fail of this hoax should have made him shut up and go away, but in court and here, and before he was arrested too, he is always self-aggrandizing.

How stupid of those judges to acquiesce to all this and let him out.

IMO

Smollett no doubt sees himself as a "Ghandi", a complete political prisoner. I saw the handwriting on the wall for this when his attorney, Tamara Walker, turned his imprisonment into an opportunity for political grandstanding.

So, Jussie Smollett is doubling down on his victimhood. Does he want the Osundairo Brothers arrested? Will anyone stand up for them?

Who is "After Jussie Smollet"?
Nobody.
In my opinion nobody is after Jussie Smollet.
Who cares about Jussie Smollet?
Other then watching this is interesting. Reminds me personally why I will never visit this city again.
Truly, I am not invested in whatever goes on here, other then to be an observer.

Literally, no one. And that's the reason for all the theater and all the lies. It's purely for attention.
Same exact reason for his original crime in the first place. Attention.
What's even more sickening is, it appears to be working quite well.

Yes. Police need more funding, not to be “defunded.”
