Judge Seals Kustok Murder Documents November 21, 2011
With approval from defense attorneys, a Cook County judge ruled Monday that all files pertaining to the Allan Kustok murder trial be sealed from public view.

Last month, Judge John J. Hynes was asked by state prosecutors to approve an emergency protective order to seal all documents related to the death and investigation of Jeanie Kustok following attempts by news media to obtain those documents by legal request.

Allan Kustok Claims He Put the Gun to His Own Head October 1, 2010
Kustok went to Anita and held her, then "grabbed the gun from her hand and threw it across the bedroom," according to the statement he gave police.
"He then related that he wiped blood from her face, retrieved the gun and put it to his own head," said assistant Cook County state's attorney Peter Troy, reading from Kustok's police statement.
Instead of firing the remaining bullets into his own skull, Kustok told police he aimed at a nearby armoire and emptied the gun into the piece of furniture.

Pretrail hearings scheduled for March 6 - two days ago. Evidence is still being gathered.

Hearing continued to April as state waits for opinion on blood-spatter reports.

As of April 17, 2012, the state was still waiting on an expert's forensic evidence report. It was to arrive via mail any day. The report will wrap up the pretrial discovery. It has been 20 months already since JK's murder.

The Judge has decreed that details of this case be barred from the public. boo.

This guy sure knows how to use the legal system. He got a chunk of change from a lawsuit and now has delayed his murder trial for quite some time.

Kustok is scheduled to appear in Judge John J. Hynes' courtroom on Sept. 28.

Maybe they will actually set a trial date!

When I read his history the word 'scammer' comes to mind. Someone who led a false life for years. Imo of course. Wonder if the kids are still onboard with him being innocent.

Judge will decide if cell phone evidence can be admitted in trial.
New technology has uncovered new evidence, though we don't know what it entails.
Defense opposes use of this evidence. (of course they do!)

As of January 25, 2013, no trial date has been set for Allan Kustok.
Decision about cell phone evidence won't be decided until March. (It's now April and no new information comes up about this case.)

I thought about Anita 'Jeanie' Kustok's murder case yesterday - she's been gone almost three years in September. Her husband remains jailed and pre trial meetings have taken place recently.

Here the ER doctor who saw Jeanie wrapped in bloody blankets (already deceased) upon arrival to the hospital testified. About an hour and twenty minutes passed before Allan Kustok arrived at the hospital with his dead wife.

Kustok claims he was suicidal after seeing his wife had been shot. He wanted to spend time with her knowing this would be the last time he'd see her. :scared:

Another pre trial meeting was sceduled for August 13. I'll look for information regarding that one.

Well I read that the statements will be allowed and that a trial date has been set but can't find much info from a recognizable source.
Guess nobody is on anybody's back regarding this case. So sad.
Maybe the trial will begin in December.

More than three years have passed since Allan Kustok was charged with first-degree murder of his wife,
Anita "Jeanie" Kustok.
Finally, a trial is set to begin February 18, 2014.

"Attorneys for Kustok have tried to block statements he made to doctors in the hours after he arrived at the hospital, as well as details of alleged extramarital affairs Kustok carried on using the website ashleym*****n.com, as well large debts the couple faced." (quoted as is)
