Yes, and the ruling has been discussed throughout the last few pages ever since it was first released on Friday. Various media outlets are running stories under different headlines so it might seem as if it’s a new or updated news story but it’s all the same ruling.

“Consistent with that Order and the ‘safe keeper statute,’ the Department of Correction is authorized to move the Defendant within the Department of Correction to accommodate his medical and physical needs pursuant to medical directives by the Department of Correction physicians, psychiatrists, or psychologists.”
OT - Thanks, I wasn't following closely on Friday as I watching the Leticia Stauch trial. Another nightmare.

To me, in my opinion, cutting through all the inflammatory, rabble-rousing, prejudicial language that RA’s attorneys put into the motion, this is what they were saying…

”Judge,
Please move our client RA closer to our office because it will make our jobs easier.
Like many people he has not adjusted well to being incarcerated and has declined physically and mentally. We know because we have sat on our rears for the last five months watching this happen, but have said nothing until today, after we realized we could spin this in a way it might influence potential jurors. We are not asking for an immediate mental evaluation, even though he needs it.
This man is being kept in solitary confinement as it has been decided he needs to be in protective custody. How dare the authorities try to keep him safe.
Our client has not been visited by family or friends despite the fact that they could come if they wanted to. This is an outrage, somehow, as his family should not be given the free will to choose in this matter. RA’s inability or lack of desire to visit with them virtually must be addressed immediately.
We dropped a boatload of papers off for him but they haven’t been given to him by authorities. We could have walked into the prison personally, sat down, discussed them with him, gone over a few with him, looked in his eyes, had a heart to heart, but it just wasn’t convenient…for us.
A reminder, Judge, this is an emergency. So take a few days to think about it, and you can reach us out by the pool, next the MaiTai Hut.”

I know everyone has moved well beyond this subject matter (except me, obviously), so I'm sorry for bringing it up again, but I keep contemplating how the *beep* those two sketches relate. LE's descriptions of how they came about has been posted a hundred times, sketches aren't photos, witnesses remember things differently, some of the features of both match, etc... But none of the explanations so far have satisfied me.

Although it isn't a perfect match, I could buy that the OBG sketch was drawn by people who saw RA. But the YBG sketch is still the one (and only) sketch used on the ISP and FBI sites. A 20-something who's clean-shaven with a full head of hair?

I just cannot convince myself that one of the witnesses saw RA that day and described him like that. Hoping that eventually we find out more.

It doesn’t make sense and I’m sure the defense will have a hayday with it at trial.
From what we know now after RA’s arrest I think LE gathered all the information they ever really had in this case in the first three or four weeks. Like you, I think the first sketch came from people who saw RA on the trail and I think it looks the most like him.
After that first sketch came out my thought is LE never found anything new in the investigation. By then, they even knew about KAK and his online conversations with Libby. They just shared zero with us.
The 2019 press conference was all theater in my opinion. They were simply trying to shake up the killer in hopes he’d make a mistake by talking dramatically. Absolutely nothing came out of that press conference. Car in the parking lot…they had known about it since it happened, two years later, no one remembers. Two second video, one extra word on the audio… ridiculous. And that stupid second sketch! My guess is RA laughed long and hard after all that. LE talking tough…uh oh…changing direction…uh oh they’re on to me…*new sketch*…Hahahahahaha!

Oh yes please, let us find out one day in the future, which person this damn YBG wanted-pic should represent! I'm begging, that I'm not dead already then.
ETA: If RA would snitch on someone .....

I suppose there could have been someone who looked like YBG sketch there that day but had nothing to do with the murders. I’m interested to see if any explanation is ever given as well.
I think that LE was focused on OBG until they had more insight into social media, drop boxes, pedo rings.

Assuming an as-yet link between RA and A_S, LE wanted new tips, was in fact moving in a new direction.

If L was catfished and other girls were catfished, IMO no girl would make a connection between their social media poser and an OBG.

I think LE is appealing to girls who were 13-14 but are older now, who would recall communicating online with YBG, sketched from eye witness recall not from girls who a guy on the bridge but, rather, girls who saw images on L's phone.

Agreed on all points.

They threw a hail mary pass in 2019 and missed. Meanwhile, the perp is getting off on having eluded LE.

Why do the sketches matter though he has placed himself moments before the girls walked on to that bridge?!
I agree, RA placed himself on the bridge and that's one issue. But how do we know the sketches don't matter? Who's the young guy with shaved face and lots of wavy hair? Maybe he's nobody, but we don't know either way. Jmo.

Given the vast amount of discussion, I would say it’s definitely true the sketches publicized and in turn attracted attention to this case.

“………So why spend time and resources on police sketches if they're neurologically doomed for inaccuracy? Forensic artists argue that the role of police sketches isn't to construct a perfect portrait of the perpetrator. The point of police sketches is to publicize crimes, attract leading clues and get the public looking out for suspicious persons……”

I doubt there’s ever a perfect trial and conviction with all the evidence fitting perfectly and no unanswered questions remaining. I think it’s not so important who’s the young guy or why that was the likeness of the sketch as is to know that evidence beyond reasonable doubt proves RA was responsible for the murders. If he was working in tandem with someone else and chooses not to say, that doesn’t make him any less guilty.

I’ve followed true crime for many years, decades actually and I continually must remind myself that it’s nothing like a book or movie where everything is often tied up neatly in a bow by the ending since the entire sage is set out in mind of the writer. True crime involving murder, victims can’t talk and the killer, even if willing, often is unable to honestly recount facts in an understandable way. As a result it’s often there is not total closure but that’s something one must come to accept, such is the way with life‘s situations viewed from afar. IMO.

Perfect analogy of what might have gone thru their minds if they were really honest

Wonderful! Thank you! ;)

I agree with whoever said going cold turkey off alcohol could contribute to RA's physical appearance/weight loss. Don't think he is suddenly schizophrenic!!
I'm sorry I'm probably biased as someone who has had their life changed by a murderer. But... you don't like prison? It's not a 5 star hotel? Hear me out... It's easy to NOT murder people!

Yes, I mentioned the withdrawals from alcohol a couple of threads ago, and I also think he is trying to not look like the Bridgegu, so the weight loss.

Or it could be RA knowing LE knows what he's done and it's all going to come out for his family and the world to hear. That has to play heavy on his mind. Lots of reasons for him to be depressed and losing weight, but they're all of his own creation.

I found an article from February that reminded me of the infamous comment by DC about how this is a complex case with tentacles. There is a LOT of discovery...

Allen's defense attorneys told Special Judge Fran Gull they need more time to sift through files contained in five hard drives, each with terabytes of evidence, provided by prosecutors during discovery.

They say it takes a day to download the data from only one drive.
Troves of evidence set stage for Delphi homicide suspect's lengthy bail hearing

To give an idea of what terabytes hold:

With 2 TB of data, you can store an average of 200,000 photos with today's smartphones, and roughly 500,000 documents can fit on a 2TB drive.
How much is 2TB of data storage? | Internxt Help Center
