Rubio's name came up in interviews about Desi's murder. He left town the weekend after her body was found and was interviewed when he came back. Rubio parked his truck in the parking lot at the Bremen police post where LE noticed blood on his license plate. The blood matched Desi's DNA, they found more at his home.

Fabian Rubio, 20, of Bremen, was sentenced one to eight years imprisonment at the Indiana Department of Correction for the offense of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class C Felony.

Judge Robert O. Bowen ordered six years of the sentence to be served, with two years suspended. Judge Bowen ordered Rubio be placed on two years of probation upon his release from the Department of Correction, with sex offender terms applicable for the following ten years.

Rubio in open court admitted that between June 1, 2014 and June 30, 2014, he had sexual intercourse with a fifteen-year-old female. In exchange for the plea of guilty, the State dismissed a charge of rape, but left sentencing up to the Judge.

Desi's case is still pending.

Rubio pleaded guilty on Wednesday morning to Jones' murder. In exchange, charges of sexual misconduct and abuse of a corpse were dropped.

Rubio will face between 45-65 years in prison. Prosecutor Nelson Chipman plans to ask for the maximum penalty of 65 years.

During the evening local news they said that Rubio told LE that he had planed to kill more and that Desi was his first. So glad they caught him. He will be at least 70 when he could get parole.

Also Rubio's Dad testified that he saw Desi with Rubio when Rubio said he was never with her. Desi met with Rubio that night so he could buy her cigarettes, he told her to delete all texts from him and she did.
