Inconsistencies/Discrepancies & Timeline discussion

I'm so very sorry that that happened to you. (((((HUGS))))) Same thing happened with me, except it was my fiance. Thank you for sharing your experience. I've thought a lot about mine when I listen to Misty's accounts of what happened, and I think a lot of her inconsistencies can be attributed towards shock. I can't even imagine what it would have been like to have to be questioned by police who were trying to get me to confess to something I didn't do. If that would've been the case I can't say that I wouldn't have walked out just like Misty did.

I wish that Nancy Grace would have a psychologist on the show to discuss what is in the range of behavior to be expected from someone who has experienced this kind of trauma.

I hope they find this little girl!

Thank you - and I hope you have found peace - we can only do the best we can one day at a time.

I was particularly irate last night when NG made a little speech about not dwelling on their pasts and the marriage and then immediately asked Ron's mom what she thought about them getting married! That's when Ron rolled his eyes and I did, too. huh?

On NG last night a video clip was played that was from, I believe, the first day of the search. It showed Ron saying, "Somebody stole my child out of my bed."

I saw that video before, but just now heard the "my bed."

Also LE stated that the marriage may present difficulties in the search as it may hinder their interviewing of Ron and Misty. Why would they do anything to hinder LE efforts?

Also OT (sorry, can I get away with it if it's a quickie?) Just what is Sheba from Illinois secret weapon to get on NG?

May I please ask if any one knows this. There were inconsistantcies with that Haleigh wore her pink shirt to bed.But it was found near the laundry in the morning?Did they say Haleigh went to bed in a pink shirt and underware?Did they ever find her underware? If she wet the bed wouldn't they be wet too probably found near her shirt?

Perhaps my story will give a different perspective on Misty.

Three years ago I went to my son's apartment and found that he had died during the night. He was in his twenties - I was in my fifties. I have no idea what I said to LE and para-medics that responded to my call. It took me some time to even be able to call 911. To this day, I could not tell anyone what happened and in what order that morning. I don't remember all of the next days or his funeral.

I have been in therapy ever since and have been told I may never recall - it's how your brain protects you. When something like that happens, you are in shock and don't always repond "normally".

It's easy to be critical, but unless you've been in a similar situation, you have no clue how you would react.

I pray for Haliegh's safe return every day. I also pray for Ron and Misty and Crystal and both families. No one can completely recover from losing a child.

Tiki ..

((( hugs )))

I'm not sure this is exactly the place to post and I admit it does show my ignorance of Florida weather, but if it was 40 degrees that night, why would they have AC repairman in February? People who don't have a stack of money sitting around tend to wait until the last minute to take care of such things.

Again remember I'm in Central Illinois and we were still talking snow.

I think that Player said that the landlords were now that week. and they are
the ones that would had the AC fixed. Since this is a rental the landlord would paid.

When and why did Misty wake up? She said that all she saw was "3", and didn't notice the minutes. She said she got up to get a drink of water, then she said she got up to go to the bathroom - maybe she was getting a drink of water from the bathroom.

When did Misty discover Haleigh missing? When she woke up to go to the bathroom, she noticed the kitchen light on and went to check, saw the back door open, went back to the bedroom and noticed Haleigh was gone.

When did she call Ron in relation to when she discovered Haleigh was missing? Not sure. She was calling Ron as he was driving up to the house. He got home around 3:25 am.

When did she call 911 in relation to when she discovered Haleigh was missing? 3:27 am.

Was there a fight about a gun? Misty and Teresa say yes. Ron says no. Not sure.

Was there a gun found on the side of the road? Not sure.

Let's remember, we don't know everything that was told to LE and just yesterday, Misty announced that she was advised that she passed her polygraphs which show that she was home the whole night.

But yet, on NG last night, Ronald said that since the house is so dark at night, that from the bedroom, you can see if the kitchen light is on or not, because it is so bright. If Haleigh had been sleeping in the room next to Misty, then why didn't she notice that she was missing when she first got up...why did she even NEED to go back and check, to find her missing. The light from the kitchen would have been bright enough, to illuminate the room to spot a missing child.

ITA, anyone who experienced a near drowning needs to see a doc. The most dangerous things to people who survive is what happens because of what you stated and developing deadly pnuemonia from the bacteria inhaled in the water.

I watched a news show a few months ago, about a little boy that was in a pool for the very first time. I think that he was three or four years old...anyway, all he did was inhale a little bit of water, he coughed a little bit, and his mom thought that he was fine. He died later that day, but...I can't remember if it was the bacteria in the water that caused it, or what...but it was from the inhalation of the water.

Nancy had a couple facts wrong last night: The other bathroom is not across the kitchen from the master bedroom; it is across the living room. The kitchen and MB share a wall. The two doors sit next to one another. When Misty woke up and says she saw the light from the kitchen was on, it would have been the light shining into the darkened living room (though we have no confirmation that the living room was in darkness). Nancy is making the assumption that Misty went to the other bathroom instead of the master bath, and Ron does not correct this assumption, but in fact allows it to stand as fact. I find that curious.

After watching NG show from last night AGAIN, NG asks RC how the story got so screwed up from the get go about the bed situation....RC says "Ms. Nancy, I don't know" WELL....I just watched one of the first NG shows with RC on it, and NG asks him specifically, "WERE THEY ALL THREE IN THE SAME BED", to which RC replies "YES"....ok, that's how the story got so screwed up in the beginning I guess.....and I have a feeling that NG remembers this.....IMO, last nights NG show, was all about letting RC run on and on with his stories.....

Sounds to me the police think more of Misty's actions that night than Ron does. Maybe he needs to REALLY talk to the police about why...instead of being bullheaded and standing firm protecting her. Right now his interest is in finding Haleigh...but I agree with that panel....until they can rule out Misty's inaccuracies...things are at a halt....to a point. Why don't the police look at video camera's around the area close by there and see if they see anyone that RON may recognize that would have been near his home that night? Or anyone that he knows that misty knows? Maybe that may be a step in the right direction? SOMEONE was at that house. THAT is clear. So why can't anyone figure out who????? store camera's , atm cameras, whatever it takes. Get the video's and have Ron sit there and let RON feel useful going through them all. It's only ONE DAY's worth from 7pm - 7:am that they can persue.

Thank you, Donjeta. I think this is interesting for a few reasons.

One, my understanding is that in the first weeks, GM Sykes didn't say anything at all about going over, and then it was another week or two before she added the part about Haleigh seeing her, etc. (?)

Two, in the interview with Greta (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-z6jX8Xvmc )

...at 6:00, when Misty is asked who came over while Ron was at work, she says only the AC guy and her brother/kids. She says nothing about GMA Sykes coming over. :waitasec:

I don't really think anything happened to Haleigh before 7pm. I just have a strong doubt that the grandmother has this part correct. I actually tend to think she said it because she believed it was necessary for her to back up Misty's account, but it could have been just a matter of confusing her days.

Does anyone have the dates of each of GM's accounts handy? TIA!

Yes. I caught that too. However, she is not the smartest person. Her brain may have been thinking "anyone other than normal"....she may be 17, but her actions that I've seen is comparable to 12 years old. Thus it's going to be complicated to really get factual information out of her....I think the police need to really bring her back in again. I can't help thinking she was out or let someone else into the house.

At first glance, she may have seen a lump of blankets and assumed Haleigh was there. Would have felt the warmth of Jr.

Wasn't it in the police report that she noticed Haleigh missing before she went to get a drink? Before she noticed the light on or the door open, or am I mistaken here?

I would be livid if LE hadn't already looked at all available recordings from that night.

Not always. Our bedroom is generally not completedly dark at night and the door to our kitchen is about 12-15 feet from the bedroom door and down 4 steps, but we can see if someone left a light on downstairs. We might not know for sure which room until we look. And even if our hall light is on, we can't see anything in our bedroom.

And little tots do curl up on a bed. Even with a nightlight, I had to check twice that my little grandson was actually in his bed.

I just looked at the police report again, and yes, MC states that she noticed Haleigh missing then went and searched the house frantically, and noticed the back door open....I also noticed that CS's age states 19 on this police report! That makes her 14 at time of birth, add to that 9 mo. of pregnancy.....I do think that RC should go down for thisno wonder he got custody. He stated last night that he got custody on her second birthday...that would make CS 16 at the time, a child...makes me sick.....

considering the area....it is mostly woods....When I was there for the search with TES, there was one little store on the side of HWY 17 that may have some kind of camera ...its not a lively town by any means. Now I didn't go on past the trailer park where they live off of Buffalo Bluff, so I am not sure what is up that way. But from HWY 17, there is not much....

We've had a few cooler nights (since it is winter), but generally in Florida we have maybe 2 days of cold and then it warms back up to 80 within a week. This year is no exception, we've had some cooler days and nights where you needed the heat on, but many more days that hit 85*. Down here, MOST homes have an air conditioner that also is a heater. There is one air handler for both. What we use for heat is what I think would be "emergency" heat up north, I think in colder climates usually there is a separate heat system (?) and the air conditioning heater would only be used as emergency backup, since it is not as efficient nor as cost effective as having a real heating system. But here our a/c heater is all we have since heating isn't a huge issue.. (Sorry, I am bungling the terms up, maybe an electrician can better explain it).

So if their heat went out, it would be the a/c (or hvac, or whatever) guy that would fix the heater part of the a/c unit. We don't have separate heat systems. OR maybe their a/c wasn't working right, and since that week was cooler, the a/c guy had free time to test it. Most people here run a/c for 10-11 months of the year, unless they live on the water with a strong breeze. The humidity tends to make it feel 10 degrees hotter. Long response, but wanted to explain why the a/c guy being there would be nothing odd..

(Also, since they were renting, the landlord would have been the one paying to service the a/c unit. And even the worst, most rundown housing you could ever imagine must have a/c in order for anyone to rent it out down here, so tenants expect a/c to be fully functioning. Landlords don't mess around with non-functioning a/c! lol)

Just my observation, but lastnight on NG, I watched RC making some faces when NG mentioned the visitors.By his face you would have thought that was a lie.But then his mom said there WERE visitors there that evening. His reactions are just, how do I say it.."odd" to say the least.

I didn't catch that part but I did see him rolling his eyes and acting pizzed when NG brought up MC's age and that he married a teenager. He seems so hot headed. Is it not a fact that MC is a teenager and he married a teenager? I just don't see what there was to be pissy about personally. He gives me the creeps JMO.
