Inconsistencies in DB's Story

My question is..would JB have killed Lisa or did he kidnap her so SB could have her...I am stuck to on why he would this

Taken on its own, JB's saying to give his daughter a goodnight kiss doesn't indicate he knew she was still awake, IMO. It's not uncommon to check on a sleeping child and kiss them before going to bed yourself. I sure did it many times.

If he'd added, "...when you tuck her in," or said "tell" her goodnight vs. "kiss," I might think he knew she was still awake (indicating he was spying on them). Even then, not sure how that would tie in with someone else's baby going missing.

Also, I would think LE surely checked with the friend he spent the night with to confirm his alibi.

JB was also training a dog for tracking scents. Would burning clothes be as a counter to knowing what dogs could do.

This is very interesting. The problem I have with JB, or anybody else for that matter, is the dog hit. But if JB knows something about training scent dogs. . .we have the pesky magically appearing kitty. Is it possible to rub an animal down with cadaver scent so that it gets transferred somewhere in the house?

Idk, it just seems that this would have had to been well planned out. .. more than just the night it happened. And I'm not sure how SB plays into this. Was she part of it, if this is what happened? Was that text exchange a signal? Like I said before. . .I think I might have to break out my tin foil hat. :waitasec:

I am having a hard time assigning a motive to JB. So he's mad or sad about the breakdown of his marriage. How is kidnapping a neighbor's baby going to help him?

I'm told JB's text was to say that he loved her. She waited an hour, I'm told, before responding back in the same manner.

Maybe I am off here...but if JB kidnapped Lisa for SB and they moved to the house he wanted to buy her..SB would have to drop DB completely and never ever invite her over to her new house or even give her the new address as Lisa would be there...Now if JB bought the house out of state-that would have been better..but I assume this house was in the area..

Unless the plan was to hang tight until DB is arrested. Idk though, it seems fairly far fetched.

It is, but I don't think it's very common to steal/murder the child of someone who might've introduced people/facilitated a relationship. Much more common, I'd think, to seek revenge against the people in the actual relationship or to take/harm one's own child to spite a cheating spouse.

I can understand the revenge motive-I don't know if you are talking just kidnapping or killing a baby
So-I will say that killing a 10 month old baby for revenge is pretty cruel to do b/c of a break down of a marriage..why not kill the person who directly broke down the marriage.I know their are cruel people in this world..but this type of killing I just don't see in this case...ALL MOO

Brando's husband told CNN that he spent the night of Oct. 3 with a friend. He showed CNN texts between him and his wife on Oct. 3. At 10:33 p.m., the neighbor wrote to Brando that he loved her and their daughter and to kiss her goodnight. Brando responded at 10:54 p.m. that she and their daughter loved him too.

The man told CNN that he went to bed. He got up about 5 a.m. to go to his job at the Whiteman Air Force Base. The man said he received a call from Brando at 5:59 a.m. Oct. 4 to alert him that Lisa was missing.

The kiss shouldn't have raised a flag to me but it did because of the time he made the text and the request to kiss his daughter goodnight.

I can say that this was a case of information coming from Spellman to a producer to a reporter and that things got lost in translation. Upsetting.

Steve Young has confirmed that police have moved on from both Tanko and Brando but have not "cleared" anyone.

And while Mr. Rugen may have made certain facts publicly known now, they have been known by the media and the police and neighborhood residents for four months. That's why Mr. Brando was scrutinized and asked to take a lie detector test.

What we don't know is was the four-year-old child sleeping in her home while the two women were on the stoop or was she crashed on the couch with the Irwin-Bradley boys (hypotethitcally speaking but that's my personal guess as to what happened).

I understand that these are new facts here and WSers will want to hang onto them. I realize Gil and now Mr. Rugen have insinuated that James Brando had motive and reason but KCPD has looked into them. I'll let you debate whether that review was sufficient or not. But police were clear....they moved on from James Brando. They have not moved on from Debbie Bradley.

And Mr. Brando is living back in his residence on Lister according to casenet records.

Using your post as a jumping off point, what we don't know is how seriously they looked at the Brandos, Tanko, or anyone else. did they just take whatever they said as gospel? Again we don't know. Did LE ask any of these people hardball questions? We don't know. But I'll wait until that information is afforded us from LE or a reliable MSM site. If LE was only asking hardball questions to these people about DB or JI it would tell me they had blinders on at the time.

Thanks, DeAnn. To my way of thinking, LE's saying they've "moved on" from someone is a way to say they've checked them out and cleared them without violating the "no one's been cleared" official mantra we hear in most cases (until a suspect is actually named/arrested).
